I like to make lists of everything I need to pack. The lists are broken down by clothing, toiletries, entertainment, and what needs to be packed the morning of (like my hair brush, glasses, etc). The lists calm my anxiety down because they make me feel prepared and accomplished. They especially helped when I first started college and was packing for semesters at a time. I will say that my parents thought it was incredibly weird, but it helped me and eased my anxiety. It’s one thing I can control when I can’t control the drive to the airport, or security, or the plane ride, or timing for anything.
