Where Are They Now? Your Favorite Disney Channel Stars

Some made it big, some still act here and there and others look like they will sell both of their kidneys for a recurring guest role on “Melissa and Joey.” But they all still hold a special place in our hearts-

Posted on

1. Andy Lawrence

Disney Movies: Horse Sense (1999), The Other Me (2000)

Most Recent Project: The Big Baby (2014)

Age: 26

The beloved brother of Joey and Matthew is still acting. Even though his face looks like he's constantly eating 17 Lemons, Andrew has mainly done voice-acting while popping up on CSI: New York and The United States of Tara.

2. Steven Anthony Lawrence

Disney Movie: The Even Stevens Movie (2003)

Most Recent Project: Randy App (2014)

Age: 24

Who could forget Beans from The Even Stevens. This bacon-enthusiast stole our hearts as the weird child who constantly followed around Shia Labeouf in search of pork products. His last feature film was 2005's "Rebound." I guess it's probably hard to get roles when you look like you stared Puberty right in the eye and whispered.... "do your worst."

3. Chez Starbuck

Disney Movies: The Thirteenth Year (1999)

Most Recent Project: A Recipe For Disaster (2003)

Age: 32

Our favorite Mermaid- I mean Merman. MERMAN! Our favorite fish-person has literally done nothing but get more ink than an explosion at the Bic factory. He hasn't acted since 2003 and is currently a waiter in Universal City. But I just yelled at Netflix for not started the next episode after 16 seconds so he's still doing better than me.

4. Emmy Rossum

Disney Movies: Genius (1999)

Most Recent Project: Shameless (2004)

Age: 28

Arguably one of the most successful Disney Channel stars, Emmy nabbed a starring role in both the feature film for The Phantom of the Opera and Showtime's TV show Shameless so it's looking good for Emmy, even though she's never won one. An Emmy. She's never won an Emmy. KILL ME NOW GOD

5. Erin Chambers

Disney Movie: Don't Look Under The Bed (1999)

Most Recent Project: Rizzoli & Isles

Age: 35

One of the oldest DCOM'ers on the list, Erin first captured our attention as the innocent teenager in classic Boogeyman Romp "Don't Look Under the Bed." She has since made a living on Soap Opera's General Hospital and the Young and the Restless but we'll never forget where she got her start- in a movie scarier than anything on Justin Bieber's Google search history.

6. Kaley Cuoco

Disney Movies: Alley Cats Strike (2000)

Most Recent Project: The Big Bang Theory (2014)

Age: 28

You might not remember Kaley Cuoco in one of the most premier Bowling movies of our generation, but she's one of the most successful women on this list. From 8 Simple Rules to Big Bang Theory, she's become a staple on terrible, terrible TV shows that many terrible, terrible people keep watching. If only she stuck to movies like Alley Cats Strike, then I would literally never watch another thing, outside of my life going down the drain.

7. Kimberly J. Brown

Disney Movies: Quints (2000), Halloweentown (1998)

Most Recent Project: Low Winter Sun (2013)

Age: 29

After becoming a staple in movies about the second best holiday after George Clooney's Wedding, Kimberly nabbed a co-starring role in Queen Latifah's Bringing Down The House. But somehow the Latifah RomCom caused her to be re-casted for the fourth Halloweentown with Sara Paxton. Personally... I blame The Last Holiday, as I do all things.

8. Kyle Downes

Disney Series: Lizzie McGuire (2001-2003)

Most Recent Project: The L Word (2005)

Age: 31

Larry Tudgeman certainly came out of life a winner and by that I mean, he no longer looks like a pool full of Oil made love to the losing team on Slime Time Live. Downes has acted here and there, but will always be remembered as Lizzie's creepy, greasy friend- and weirdly enough I'm not talking about Gordo (who's not looking good these days).

9. Kyle Howard

Disney Movie: The Paper Brigade (2006)

Most Recent Project: Don't Trust The B—- 2013)

Age: 36

Gunther from The Paper Brigade has certainly made a career for himself- on cable TV shows your Mom watches on Wednesday nights before passing out by the humidifier. He's appeared on shows like My Boys, Royal Pains, What I Like About You so he's probably just a terrible conversation starter.

10. Matt O’Leary

Disney Movie: Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire (2000)

Most Recent Project: Time Lapse (2014)

Age: 27

After playing Caroline Rhea's precocious son in MGADWAV, O'Leary's appeared in movies like The Lone Ranger, Domestic Disturbance and Spy Kids 2 and 3. Though those movies probably banked him a ton of cash, he'll likely never forget about the time that his TV Mother had a worse taste in men than Kris Jenner.

11. Phillip Rhys

Disney Movie: Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century (1999), Zenon The Zequel (2001)

Most Recent Project: Glee (2013)

Age: 42

Sure, he's had recurring guest Roles on 24 and Nip/Tuck, but he's never again picked up the microphone and let those stellarnarious vocal chords fly. He had a guest spot on Glee where he played a sexual deviant and Zetus Lepetus, that's just another reason not to watch Glee. It's probably just a good bet so steer clear of his filmography unless he's wearing 140% leather and saying the word "Zoom" three times in a row.

12. Ryan Merriman

Disney Movies: The Luck of the Irish (2001), Smart House (1999)

Most Recent Project: Pretty Little Liars (2014)

Age: 31

Ryan's been busy. He starred in Final Destination 3 and currently has a recurring role on Pretty Little Liars. Today, he resides in California where he spends a majority of his time COMPLETELY IGNORING ME ON TWITTER.

13. Taylor Handley

Disney Movies: The Phantom of the Megaplex (2000)

Most Recent Project: Changeling (2013)

Age: 30

The Phantom of the Megaplex strikes again- and by that I mean, cause another DCOM star to nab a starring role in a sub-par horror movie. Taylor appeared in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning" in 2006, but it doesn't hold a candle in the scare department to PotM.

14. Sam Horrigan

Disney Movies: Brink (1998)

Most Recent Project: True Blood (2011)

Age: 33

You're probably like, "Val wasn't a soul-skater. GET HIM OFF THIS LIST AND SET HIM ON FIRE." And you wouldn't be wrong. But he was a contestant on CW's "Beauty and the Geek" as a Beauty- which is so funny, it's the complete opposite of my Junior Prom.

15. Camilla Belle

Disney Movie: Rip Girls (2000)

Most Recent Project: Amapola (2014)

Age: 28

Belle made a name for herself with the movie Rip Girls, which was for all intents and purposes, just a filler movie that you watch out of habit. Her filmography is barely as impressive as her past boyfriends. She's dated Topher Grace, Tim Tebow, Joe Jonas and Chad Michael Murray. And if you combine all of those celebrities together, you almost have the IQ of someone who can solve a fifth grade level Math problem.

16. Lalaine

Disney Channel TV Show: Lizzie McGuire (2001-2004)

Most Recent Project: Easy A (2010)

Age: 27

Lizzie's best friend had a minor role in Easy A. I guess the A stood for Arested because apparently she really likes Meth and did some time in Jail. All said and done, she's still doing better than Gordo.

17. Michael J. Pagan

Disney Movie: Up, Up and Away (2000)

Most Recent Project: Prime Suspect (2011)

Age: 29

Someone grew up, up and away. Pagan's acted in small roles throughout his career before settling on model. I'm not sure that a Super-model is a Super-power, but it's certainly better than my superpower of making women uncomfortable so good for him.

18. Bug Hall

Disney Movie: Get A Clue (2002)

Most Recent Project: Revolution (2014)

Age: 29

So basically, this what Alfafa looks like now. I would say that Disney apparently does wonders for you physically but...

19. Brian Bonsall

Disney Movie: Blank Check (1994)

Most Recent Project: Star Trek: The Next Generation (1994)

Age: 31

The adorkable little kid in Blank Check might have found a loophole in the legal system on film, but in real life, he's been arrested multiple times for Assault and Marijuana. He hasn't acted since 2004 and has a butterfly tattoo on his throat, because he spent zero of the money from that check on a life coach.
