The Junie B. Jones series was like a security blanket for me from second grade until I was too old to be reading them. I hated reading until I found those books!
One of my students had these cute flip flops that I always complemented her on. Come Christmas, she gave me my own pair in my favorite color! It was so genuine and sweet. She listened for something I liked instead of giving me something generic.
I'm a fifth grade teacher who wants to teach kindergarten and I hate when I tell people and they reply, "I would want to teach kindergarten too, it would be so easy!" Every grade comes with its own challenges. Trust me, teachers don't go for "easy."
