We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us about one of the best vacations they've ever taken: their honeymoon. Below are their wanderlust-worthy destinations — and we hope they'll help inspire any future weekend getaway, epic year-end trips, or anything in between!

1. Roadtrip up the California coast:

"We didn't have enough money to travel overseas, so we roadtripped from Orange County to San Francisco. Along the way, we rented a beach cabin, went kayaking on the Central coast, stopped at a posh hotel in Big Sur, and toured breweries in San Fran. "We're from Florida, so we weren't all that interested in a beach destination, and D.C. had so much to offer for our tight budget. We spent a week there and adventured through the museums and monuments since all of that is free, and then splurged on good food. It was fantastic." —Sara Berry

4. Explore the Oregon Coast:

7. Get outdoors in Gatlinburg, Tennessee:

"We rented a cabin for a week and went hiking, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting. On our drive up, we drove through the National Park and saw SO many animals: wild pigs, coyotes, and even a giant buck! It was the perfect trip for this nature-living couple." —A.

"We went to Disney World for our honeymoon in early March, so it wasn't too crowded, but we still enjoyed warm temps and plenty of sunshine. 11. Hop on an Amtrak train and see the country:

"We got an Amtrak multi-pass and travelled around the country: Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City, DC, New York, and Boston. "We started in Florida, then headed to Atlanta. Detoured through Blue Ridge, to Nashville, then to Memphis to visit the National Civil Rights Museum. Turned south and followed the Mississippi to Clarksville — visited the Delta Blues Museum, spent a few days in Natchez at Starling's Rest B&B, then onto our final stop: New Orleans! The most magical experience was spending New Year's Eve at the Ngorongoro crater. "Flew to Venice, picked up our car (Fiat 500, what else?), then drove to Rome. Spent a few nights there, then onto the Amalfi Coast for a week in Positano. "My husband and I backpacked around Indonesia for 40 days and had the most incredible experience. Many people told us we were crazy for not wanting to do the typical all inclusive resort but that's just not who we are. We stayed in beautiful hotels all around Indonesia as well as sleeping on a boat for a 3-day rainforest adventure in Borneo to see the wild orangutans. The highlight of our trip was staying with a local woman who taught us everything from phrases to cooking their cuisine, and gave us another outlook on life. We still keep in touch with her. It sounds very Eat, Pray, Love, but it was a life changing trip!

We spent a few days in downtown Dublin, then rented a car to drive to Belfast and Londonderry. My husband found out he had ancestors from Derry so we made sure to stop. "We were there for Halloween which was so much fun. One of the first nights we went on a river boat cruise and met some locals. We ended up going out with them to all their favorite spots that night. We also got passes for Voodoo Fest, their 3 day music festival. It was an awesome honeymoon!
