Providing Opportunities for Artists / Via

Through individual and cooperative donations, ASC is able to offer grants to emerging artists in Charlotte to pursue their talents. Currently, ASC provides three grant opportunities for individuals, the Regional Artist Project Grants, the Creative Renewal Fellowship, and the Cultural Vision Grants.

These grants provide artists funding for artists who would otherwise not be able to support their projects alone. Along with funding, artists also receive exposure and recognition in the community.

Every year, ASC hosts a Culture Day event throughout Charlotte-Mecklenburg. This event is special to the Charlotte community because it's free! People can learn from and experience Charlotte's art culture without breaking their buck. This year, the Culture Day was on January 28, 2017.

ASC is also known for providing creative individuals a way to learn and develop artistic skills through workshops and training programs. These range from Finger Painting Workshops for adults to Leadership and Development Training. A list of upcoming workshops and training can be found here.
