A Definitive Ranking Of Hilary Duff's Filmography

    Hey now, hey now.

No matter how many times you listened (ahem, still listen) to your "Metamorphosis" CD, you can't deny that Hilary Duff was, first and foremost, an actress. See where all of Hil's hits (and misses...) ranked below:

    11. War, Inc. (2008)

Don't remember this one? Consider yourself lucky. War, Inc. is pretty much the only movie from Hilary's thankfully short weird phase. The black hair, the name "Yonica Babyyeah" and putting scorpions down your pants? Sorry, Hil, but we weren't buying it.

    10. Beauty and the Briefcase (2010)

Yet another cheesy and predictable ABCFamily TV movie. Does anyone actually watch these? Only Lindsay Lohan in the network's "Labor Pains" was worse than this one.

    9. Material Girls (2006)

Very little plot and a lot of cringe-worthy jokes about how quickly Hil and her sister Haylie's character- Tanzie and Ava- could text made for a rough one. The entire movie sort of felt like an excuse for the sisters to sing a Madonna cover (P.S. No surprise, but it didn't hold a candle to the original).

    8. Casper Meets Wendy (1998)

While Hilary is totally adorable in her feature film debut as Casper the friendly ghost's BFF, this one falls low on the list merely because the original film was so superior. Don't lie, you shipped Casper and Christina Ricci too- Wendy was just eh.

    7. Cheaper by the Dozen(s) (2003 and 2005)

Even Steve Martin couldn't bring these films together. There didn't seem to be much plot, there was a lot of chaos and unfortunately focused more on the little-known child actors putting meat in Ashton Kutcher's underwear than on our girl Hilary's character, Lorraine.

    6. Raise Your Voice (2004)

Hilary's hair was too blonde and her character cried about every five minutes. Nonetheless, there's a tragic accident, a mohawk-sporting love interest and competitive teen musicians. The movie also features a pre-fame Kat Dennings and a slew of songs from Hilary's second album, so bonus points.

    5. The Perfect Man (2005)

It may not be critically acclaimed, but I'll watch this movie anytime I see it playing on one of the movie channels on a Sunday afternoon. You can't help but get invested when Hilary tries to set up her single and heartbroken mom with Mr. Big (okay, so Chris Noth was probably playing a different character, but still).

    4. Cadet Kelly (2002)

Back when Disney Channel Original Movies were still good, Cadet Kelly was everyone's favorite. You felt for Hil when her parents made her transfer to military school for 8th grade- but she still totally made the camouflage work.

    3. Agent Cody Banks (2003)

Teen spies? Check. Private school uniforms that were way too cute to be real? Check. Even though Hilary only had a non-spy supporting role, she still got a kiss from Frankie Muniz and we were all hopelessly jealous.

    2. A Cinderella Story (2004)

The movie that gave all us awkward teens hope for a storybook ending. If you didn't try and change your screen name to PrincetonGirl or wear a wedding gown for Halloween, you were wrong. Also, the chemistry between Hil and CMM couldn't be denied- I mean that kissing in the rain scene? Swoon.

    1. The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)

Well, duh. Hilary not only makes her final performance in the role that made her (cue the tears) but also set the standards ridiculously high for every vacation ever taken. Lizzie kisses Gordo, Kate eats carbs for Ethan, and Hil sings at the Colosseum wearing a dress that pulls away to a metallic pantsuit- what more could you want in a movie?

Do you agree with the rankings? Tell me I'm not alone in desperately wishing for a Hilary Duff comeback in the comments below!
