    1. An interactive cat toy to quickly replace the bin full of other stocking stuffers you've bought your kitty over the years...and that they now won't even look at.

Promising review: "I have a whole room filled with cat toys that my cat is not interested in. It's funny how the least expensive cat toy I have makes him go crazy. He plays with this until he's panting like a dog and I have never seen him jump so high. I'm certain this toy will help him lose his belly. He loves it! I highly recommend it!" —Kwoo

    Get it from Amazon $2.49.

    2. A purring cat toy if your kitty is suffering from anxiety. This purple guy has a built-in purring mechanism so your feline can enjoy the sensation of curling up to another purring "cat." It also plays calming, comforting sounds.

Promising review: "Works like a charm! I recently found myself a cat mama of an abandoned week-old kitten. I bought this knowing she needed just something to cuddle up to in her bed. Turns out it basically hypnotizes her to sleep. She crawls to it, kneads it and eventually her meows turn to silence. I wish the purring lasted longer but for $10 it is a lifesaver. She's pooped on it a couple of times so I've had to throw it in the washer and dryer minus the battery pack. It's held up great." —S Leytem

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    3. A maybe-not-so-fun-but-definitely-practical bottle of immunity-boosting allergy supplements because your doggo deserves relief from their allergies and skin sensitivities. These soft chews deliver a dose of probiotics and other nutrients to help improve immune function, aide digestion, promote healthy skin, and add shine to a dog's coat.,

Promising review: "Absolutely the best product. It saved my itchy goldendoodle! We tried changing food, Benadryl, medicated shampoo, fish oil, everything you can imagine... nothing worked long-term. He was itching his face so badly he would make himself bleed. Had sores and scabs all over his face and neck. I bought these because they had good reviews and I was desperate. It changed his life! He no longer scratches AT ALL! His coat looks great and all of his sores are healed. He’s the happiest he’s been which makes me a very happy momma. He is also very picky and never eats treats... he eats these every time so that’s an added bonus!" —Darcie Nation

Get it from Amazon for $25.96 (or Subscribe & Save for $23.36/month).

    4. A mounted brush that'll satisfy your cat's ceaseless demands for scritches. Just mount it to a corner with the included adhesive strips and watch as your beloved babies leave you for the warm embrace of this gray and white piece of plastic.,

Promising review: "My cat Gambino Bambino would let you brush him bald!!! He loves to be groomed and comes running whenever the brush comes out. Though we love to accommodate, I know he wanted more. He was constantly rubbing his cheeks and ears on the corner of our walls to get even more scratching. I finally came across this product and knew he would love it! It took a little convincing but once he got a hang of it he’s been loving it! We have one in the living room, one in the kitchen, one at the top of the stairs and one in the guest room! He is having a great time!!! Very easy to put together and place on the wall." —T. Mangiaracina

Get it from Amazon for $3.99.

    5. A mystery box of cat hats for the feline fans whose relationship has progressed so swimmingly that they've added a furry friend to the family.,,

Promising review: "This is by far the cutest idea! I love that this Is a 'mystery box' and what you get is completely random. I think this was a melon type of hat and it fit puurfectly! My cat is rather small but the hat has a good stretch to it and seems decently made as well. If you're thinking about purchasing this just do it, you won't regret it!" —Daniele Pollock

Get them from Amazon: the fruit box for $7.29, the Kirby box for $6.99, and the bear box for $6.99.

    6. A pack of White Paw dog toys so you can crack open a cold one with the boys (aka your fur babies).

Two "White Paw" dog toys shaped like White Claw alcoholic seltzers in the flavors natural lime and black cherry

Promising review: "My dog is a soft toy destroyer. She usually tears them apart in five minutes, stuffing everywhere. But for some reason she has not gotten these apart yet! The fabric seems a little more durable but I think it also helps that there are no hanging pieces like a tail/ears, etc. She loves to toss them around. Squeaker isn't in an area she bites all the time so it's not overly annoying. Was super cute to post a picture of her with it and me with my own White Claw :) They were a little pricey but I had to get them!" —Stacy Laake

Get it from Amazon for $22.95.

    7. An adorable and basically tear-resistant stuffed duck to save you from spending money on toys that your furry destroyer shreds in approximately 10 seconds. This lil' yellow duck doesn't look like it, but it's built to last.

Promising review: "I bought these for our two collies and as gifts for our grand pups (Aussies) for Christmas. I thought they’d be trashed within a week. They’re STILL intact and doing great. The dogs love these ducks. They can be washed in the washing machine and come out looking great. Our dogs are heavy toy chewers. So thrilled these are sturdy and loved. Highly recommend them." —Terri Lincoln

Get it from Amazon for $7.90.

    8. A spinning, rotating robot toy if you're tired of shaking a flirt pole toy in front of your cat while making kissy noises and whispering "pspspspsps" only for your cat to look at you like you're the world's biggest idiot and walk away. Just me? This LED toy rolls irregularly, avoiding objects but intriguing your cat and encouraging him or her to engage in play.,

Promising review: "Having two kitties, it is hard getting toys that appeal to both of them. Phoebe my Maine Coon just loves any kind of toy, and Fluffernutter my rescued tomcat likes to chase his toys. They both love the interactive cat toy with two interchangeable tops the can try to bat at the yellow ball or chase down the streaming feathers. Being rechargeable cuts down on having to keep on buying and changing batteries. The toy travels over rug or hard floor with ease." —ronald j gamache jr

Get it from Amazon for $34.90.

    9. A stimulating activity mat you can roll up and stuff in the stocking, because your pup needs a gift that'll keep them busy while everyone else is opening gifts. Make it extra entertaining and challenging by hiding treats and kibble in it.

Reviewer photo of their dogs using the activity mat

Promising review: "My puppy LOVES this mat! He gets super excited whenever he sees it. He sometimes doesn't like to eat his kibbles in his bowl, but he has so much fun finding and eating kibbles when I hide them in this mat. I heard nose work is also good for reducing separation anxiety in dogs, so I give him this mat whenever I need to leave more than two hours. He deals with separation way better with this. I'm 100% satisfied!" —Bom

Get it from Amazon for $33.98+ (available in two sizes).

    10. A grooming glove that'll satisfy your fur baby's endless desire for some rubbies as well as your desire to not live in a house that's covered in dog fur. It's great if your dog or cat goes running at the sight of a brush.

The grooming glove with silicone nodules, full of hair held in front of a French bulldog
    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

My colleague AnaMaria Glavan swears by this thing. In her own words:

"The glove is super comfortable and using it couldn’t be more foolproof: just put it on and run your hands through your pet’s fur. That’s it! The silicone grooves pick up so much fur with ease. Like, my dog looks close to hairless. HOW is he shedding so much!?!? After a few runs, I found that I would have to remove fur from the glove before continuing (you can pick up the fur with your other hand or run the glove under some water — either works) but it’s no biggie. The silicone actually makes it really easy to keep this clean. We got Rockie when he was 5 and he’d been riddled with skin issues and allergies, so I was pretty nervous to use anything that could potentially aggravate his conditions. However! Not only does this *not* bother his skin, but he…loves this. A lot. He starts snoring after exactly two run-throughs on his back. Also, his coat looks SO shiny after each use! TL;DR: this is one of those inexpensive add-ons that any pet owner should have on hand."

Get it from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in three styles).

    11. A water-resistant doggie doorbell for alerting you when your pooch needs to potty. Place one on the inside and outside so your pet can let you know when they're ready to come in. You can choose from four different sound levels and 36 ringtones.

Dog pressing the doorbell with its nose with the text "easy to activate with nose or paw; only .75 pounds of pressure required"

Promising review: "I adopted a 1-year-old Chihuahua who wouldn’t tell you when he needed to potty, and quickly we grew very worried about how to train him. Purchased this and immediately had buyer's remorse. Dog looked at us like we were nuts. Slowly but surely though it worked! We started by us tapping his nose on it when we would let him out, and then he learned to jump on it when we would say it’s time to go out, then he started going over to ring it unprovoked!! He rang it maybe once on his own after three weeks, and about six weeks in he was fully house-trained and ringing the bell every time. I’m still amazed and guests think it’s hilarious when they come over and hear him ring it. We installed one at his snout level and the other on top for him to jump up and ring with his paws." —Sleeping. In

Get it from Amazon for $27.99.

    12. A snout soother so your pup's snoot stays soft, moisturized, and oh-so boopable., Amazon

Promising review: "Well, I have never before been so shocked at the effectiveness of a product. Our 5-year-old Frenchie, Carol, had a nose that was so crusty it was sprouting these long strands of more crust. There was literally crust on crust on crust. The nose had strings of crust. This nose was so crusty and repulsive it was almost beautiful. Her nose might have resembled the rarest, most exotic geode to be mined from the rarest mine in Guatemala. A friend recommended Snout Soother for Carol's repulsive nose. I was worried she would just lick it all off and it wouldn't work. We never imagined she could have a regular, soft, moist nose again. Honestly this product is some black magic stuff! Unbelievable results in three to five days. No one paid me to write this." —Brittany

Get it from Amazon for $7.95 (or Subscribe & Save for $7.55/month).

    13. A pet-monitoring camera to ensure your naughty fur babies stay out of trouble. It comes with 1080p HD video, 30-foot night vision, built-in live chat so you can consult a vet 24/7, motion alerts, and two-way communication.

Promising review: "I absolutely adore this product. I have five cats, one corgi, 12 leopard geckos, two king snakes, and 32 rats (I breed and sell them so all of those but five are babies) and this helps me so much! I can check on any of the animals during work and make sure they are healthy! Then I can go home, feed, handle, and love them knowing that their day was healthy and happy! Highly recommend this! Super helpful and life changing. That night vision is amazing! And the app is wonderful!" —Nurrdyer

Get it from Amazon for $39.99.

    14. A bag of irresistibly crispy, crunchy chew treats if your small pets have been a little bored lately. These pops made of corn and rice help promote clean teeth, and your guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, mice, rats, and bunnies will love the taste.

Black and white rat eating a green puff that looks like a styrofoam packing peanut

Promising review: "My guinea pig, Oliver, is super weird. He hates playing with toys, and that means he tends to sit in his igloo most of the time. I have tried so many toys and light snacks for him, and he seems to only respond well to rice pops! My fiancé tried a nibble and wasn't dissatisfied, so that's good, I suppose! They're not very durable because they're meant to be snacky, but my piggy loves these, and I love the price!" —Preparing for Mommy blog

Get it from Amazon for $2.28.

    15. A dog DNA kit because haven't you always wanted to know exactly what kind of dog your beloved rescue mutt is?

Diagram showing breakdown of dog's genetic makeup

Promising review: "I love knowing all the breeds that went into the creation of my dog. She was a rescue so there was no telling what all was mixed in. She was simply 'Australian cattle dog' but come to find out she has a German shepherd way back in her history. Sure explains the size of her ears!" —Ydain

Get it from Amazon for $99 (originally $129).

    16. A lizard harness that'll keep your reptile looking stylish on your weekly walk.

Small lizard wearing the black bat wings, which have gold details on them

Promising review: "It took some finesse to get it on him at first since he kept pulling his legs out but once I got it on, it worked like a charm. This was a first for my beardie so it took him some getting used to before he moved on his own. It’s pretty cute too." —Chrisp

Get it from Amazon for $7.99.

    17. Some ~alpha~ fish tank decor for your betta. Can they make life-sized versions of these? Asking for a friend!,

Promising review for Squidward's house: "I definitely watched SpongeBob as a kid but thought getting the pineapple for my little tank would be too tacky. Squidward's house is much cooler decorations since if a guest recognizes it it's awesome! And if they don't recognize it from the show, they just think it's a cool Easter Island old decoration. Win-win, love it! It is a decent size too and my betta can swim in and out easily. HOWEVER, I would certainly say to sandpaper down the inner edges and eye holes, since there are indeed little parts (as others have mentioned) that your fish could get stuck in potentially. Took a couple mins and now it is well worth it." —Ted Green

Get them both from Amazon: the Groot air bubbler for $10.95+ (available in two sizes) and SpongeBob's and Squidward's houses for $5.23+ (available in multiple sizes and styles).

    18. A cat hammock so your cat always has a stimulating view and a soft place to sleep. Watching the goings-on of the neighborhood will make them feel like king of the castle...because they obviously are and we are but humble peasants blessed by their presence.,

Promising review: "First off, this is the very first Amazon review I’ve ever written. I was leery about purchasing one because our cat is a CHONK at around 28 pounds. This product claimed to hold up to 55 pounds, so challenge accepted. I received the hammock this morning and I warmed the suction cups in water as recommended by the instructions. I also made sure to clean the window very well. It was easy to put together, and our boy Frank JUST fits in this thing. I am happy to say it has held up so far. Very pleased with this purchase." —Amber

Get it from Amazon for $17.99.

    19. A fleece blanket to keep your pet warm in their carrier or bundle your kitty like a ~purrito~ on the couch.

Cat snuggled in the pink polka-dot blanket

Promising review: "I gifted this to my daughter's tuxedo, thinking it would satisfy his love of soft blankies and provide nice background to show him off in pictures. However, his striped brother has taken it over, smiling as he stretches out on it, sound asleep. Very soft on both sides, polyester for easy washing and lightweight enough that it will dry quickly. The design is very cute on the grey background, and I'll probably be buying another so all the boys can enjoy their own blankie." —Linnie

Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in four sizes and four colors).

    20. An interactive dog toy with a programmable play mode if you want to exhaust your energetic puppy with nonstop fun.

Promising review: "My dog loves this! I bring this out and he is instantly in love with this toy. No fear, just pure play! He likes to play around in the automatic mode. The toy in the last couple of days has proven to be one of the best things I have bought for my puppy. He plays for half an hour and then happily sleeps with it. He has forgotten about all other toys. Also the toy is durable, well built. Highly recommend!" —Simant

Get it from Amazon for $69.99.

    21. A pack of meat-flavored Nylabone toys because they'll stand up to even the toughest chewers.,

Promising review: "My pit mix and my boxer mix can destroy almost anything in under five minutes. They have each been chewing on these for TWO WEEKS!!!" —SamReview

Get two (one chicken and one bacon flavor) from Amazon for $19.99 (also available individually).

    22. An accordion tunnel that'll function as the perfect hideout for your small pets. It also comes with three balls that are great for nibbling.

A small rabbit in the blue tube

Promising review: "I got this for my guinea pigs as a Christmas present (don't judge me) and they love it! They've already destroyed the little chew toys that come with it and they usually aren't big on toys. The tunnel ships compact; at first I thought I got ripped off because it was so small, but it expands to be a nice long tunnel that is flexible and fun. The price is great as well since this simple tunnel would cost three times as much at a pet supply store. My pigs are males, so they need a hidey space where they can hang together but not be too tightly packed or else they get territorial — this is perfect! My only complaint is that they love it too much; their chasing each other around the tunnel keeps me up at night!" —kapplejack

Get it from Amazon for $9.99 (available in three colors).

    23. A handmade piñata bird toy made from natural materials for birds who need a constructive outlet for their natural desire to destroy things. It's filled with natural stuffing that's meant to be shredded, and it's ~a-parrot~ that you need this ASAP.

Reviewer's red macaw playing with the colorful strings at the bottom

Promising review: "My African Grey LOVES this piñata! I bought several toys but this one will last a few days! It didn’t take long for Ruby to accept it and has been foraging and chewing ever since." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $6.10+ (available in four sizes).

    24. A Wobble Wag Giggle ball with an internal noisemaker and six pockets so your pet is occupied for hours, rolling, fetching, and shaking it until they're panting.

A very happy white, brown, and black dog sitting on grass with the ball in front of him

Promising review: "Wow!! This hasn't been out of the box 10 minutes and my little Shih-Poo Girl is exhausted!! She loves squeaky toys, but she usually has the squeaker out in 5–10 minutes, and she gets upset because they don't make noise anymore. I was looking on Amazon for some dog toys and I was watching the video about this ball and she heard the noise and started barking and looking all over for it, That's when I knew I had to try it with her. Now she can get some exercise that I can not personally help her with (I'm disabled)." —hill1000

Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

    25. A bottle of catnip bubbles (yes, this exists!) to entertain your fur baby and convince them to leave their bed more often.

A gray cat with a white chest looking at two bubbles in mid air

She loves them. Puppies have to chew, and this lasts her about 15 minutes and takes her mind off the restricted areas. Win-win!" —Moon
