We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. 1. An interactive cat toy to quickly replace the bin full of other playthings you've bought your kitty over the years...and that they now won't even look at.

Promising review: "I have a whole room filled with cat toys that my cat is not interested in. It's funny how the least expensive cat toy I have makes him go crazy. He plays with this until he's panting like a dog and I have never seen him jump so high. I'm certain this toy will help him lose his belly. He loves it! I highly recommend it!" —Kwoo

Get it from Amazon for $2.49.

2. An adorable and basically tear-resistant stuffed duck so you can stop spending money on toys that your furry destroyer shreds in approximately 10 seconds. This lil' yellow duck doesn't look like it, but it's built to last.

Promising review: "My dog Hazel LOVES this duck! She has had it for nine months now, and it’s still intact! It somehow made it through her teething as a puppy. She rips and tears apart all of her toys, but this one still looks decent!" —Emily A

Get it from Amazon for $8.99.

3. A bottle of Burt's Bees dander-reducing spray if you want your cat's coat soft, shiny, and free of dander and flakes. It's made with aloe vera and oatmeal to condition dry skin and reduce redness.

Reviewer's before and after showing the spray dramatically reduced their cat's dander

Promising review: "We have an overweight cat that has trouble grooming her back. She was so full of dandruff and greasy fur that I hated petting her. We took her to the vet, and he thought it was allergies. We tried prednisone for a while, and it was clear she was less itchy, but the dandruff remained. The vet suggested different food, so we switched to a different flavor (different ingredients) in the same line, and there was no change. Our poor girl looked miserable. We decided to try a bath, but she's 13 years old so we knew she wouldn't enjoy it. While looking for a shampoo for her, I came across this product and decided to try it before torturing her with a bath. After the first application there was a huge difference! After the second application, her dandruff is GONE. We spray her down and then brush her. She is so soft and shiny! She finally looks healthy, and feels good to pet." —Amber Steele

Get it from Amazon for $6.49.

4. A pet hair remover for anyone who's tired of getting fur all over their clothes. Roll it over your couch, bed, favorite blanket, you name it, and watch it lift the fur away. See, we can own nice things!!

Reviewer photo of a black pillow covered in white dog hair and you can clearly see which side they brushed with the fur remover because all the dog hair is gone in that section

Promising review: "Where has this been all my cat-loving life? Sticky rollers work fine for clothes, but this is the only product that has ever COMPLETELY removed all the cat hair from my bed. I have a long-haired 20-pound tabby and if you run your hands up his back a few times and fling the hair everywhere, it looks like it's snowing — he never stops shedding no matter what I do. After using the ChomChom, I can put on a black dress and roll around on my bed and not get a single hair on me. It's absolutely amazing. Everyone is getting one for Christmas, even if they don't have a pet. I don't care, it's THAT good." —Stephanie

Get it from Amazon for $24.95.

5. A top entry litter box that'll keep the litter where it belongs: in the dang box and NOT all over your floors and carpet. It has a grooved lid to catch any litter that's attached itself to your cat's paws, plus it comes with scoop!,

Promising review: "I LOVE this litter box. It comes with an adorable scooper and place to hang it, and the subtle color helps it blend in the the room without really screaming 'there’s poop in here.' It’s not only discreet, but it keeps my cat from making a mess as she leaves. I got one of the dome types last because after she finishes she feels the random urge to bolt from the litter like a ghost is after her. (Cats, amiiright?!) but not with this. She has to take her time and jump out. And what little litter she does track out is caught on the top piece that is so easy to remove and clean. And the price point is perfect too!" —Shelly B.

Get it from Amazon for $29.28+ (available in three colors).

6. A custom pet cookie cutter because you've definitely looked at your fur baby and said, "You're so cute I could eat you up" — and now you literally can. You + a cookie cutter of your cat Mittens = a ~batch~ made in heaven.

Four raw cookies made with the cookie cutters in the shape of two cats and two dogs
BakersStreetCutter / Etsy

BakersStreetCutter sells really awesome art-, science-, pet-, and holiday-themed cookie cutters, as well as personalized designs.

Promising review: "A million stars! They look just like my dogs and I couldn’t be happier. My dogs are happy for the huge treats that look like them too! Fast shipping and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend." —Shannon

Get it from BakersStreetCutter on Etsy for $30.

7. A broom for pet hair to loosen the fur trapped in your carpet. It works just as well on wood and linoleum, with the rubber head working as a magnet to attract stray hairs. There's also a built-in squeegee for wiping up liquids or for cleaning glass. Plus, the handle extends from 36 to 60 inches so it can reach practically any mess.,

Promising review: "I bought this broom based on the tons of great reviews and I am not disappointed. I love this broom! It is lightweight but sturdy. I have used it on tile floors and carpet and it does a great job of getting the pet hair, lint, and dirt. I like this so much better than our traditional push broom. It is very easy to clean after use just using my hand, unlike our old broom. It also has a telescoping handle so that you can adjust it to whatever height you need. There is also a squeegee for doing the house windows and the car windows. I highly recommend it." —Joyce V

Get it from Amazon for $12.98.

And it works just as well on human hair! Check out my colleague's Evrilholder FURemover broom review for more deets!

8. A grooming rake so you can loosen fur and lighten your dog's undercoat and prevent future mats. This brush is specifically designed for pooches with thick, dense fur or double coats.

Reviewer photo of a husky sitting next to a pile of fur that's almost as big as itself and has been removed with the rake

Promising review: "I wish I could give this thing 7 stars, but 5 will have to do. I was able to pull entire sheets of undercoat out of our husky without disturbing the topcoat. I've never had anything work so well. It's even easier to keep the fur pile together. The fur stays clumped instead of getting spread out and floating around like with the blade style Furminator. This thing really digs the loose stuff out so much faster and easier. Check the photo to see what 20 minutes will get you." —pvfjr.

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

9. A "Did you feed the dog?" sign if Fido is taking advantage of confusion re: whether he was fed to trick you into giving him another scoop of kibble.

The sign, which has little levers you push to green in the a.m. and p.m. when you feed the dog

Promising review: "I don’t usually bother to review but this was so much nicer than I expected! Larger, well made, WOW! I hate to admit senility. I love my dog. Imagine forgetting if I fed her or not? I don’t want her overfed or overweight. This is the best thing! I stuck it to the top of her food storage. Now no question. A++++ Seriously such better quality and size than I expected!!!" —Suzy

Get it from Amazon for $9.95 (also available in a cat version).

10. A cat tree for spoiling your fur babies and *crosses fingers* giving them a place to scratch that isn't your couch.

The tower, which has boxes for hiding and posts for scratching

Use the promo code GOPET10 for an extra 10% off!

Promising review: "Although the hanging mouse did not last more time than it took my cats to notice it, the product is great. They seemed really excited and constantly battle for king of the hill on the top pedestal. Now that they are above everything, they truly feel as if they are ruler of all they see!" —Derrick

Get it from Wayfair for $69.99+ (available in four colors).

11. A custom pet pillow that'll keep you company when your actual furry friend doesn't want to bother with you. *"Let Me Love You" by Mario plays as you inch closer to your dog in an attempt to hug them*

Pillows of different animals — cats, dogs, lizards, birds, rabbits, and more — on a couch
aurespaces / Etsy

Aurespaces designs custom pet and Southwestern-inspired pillows and home decor.

Promising review: "I bought this as a gift for my Nonni for her 91st birthday. She loved it so much she said she cried when she opened it! We haven’t been able to see her in months due to COVID-19. She loves my dog Daisy, and has been sad that she hasn’t been able to see her in so long, so this really was the perfect gift! It’s hard to surprise Nonni and to find something she really loves, and this did both! I am sure I will be buying one for myself in the future! So happy with how it came out! Great service, great product! Absolutely love it!❤️" —Stephanie

Get it from aurespaces on Etsy for $29.99+ (available in seven sizes).

12. Or an illustrated pet pillow because your home is basically already a shrine to your pet so what's one more pillow with their face on it?

Dog standing next two a pillow with its illustrated face on it
DrawYourPortrait / Etsy

DrawYourPortrait has all your custom pet product needs covered. Imagine the Put a Bird On It! from Portlandia but this time it's your pet's face.

Promising review: "We had to put our beloved cat down during this quarantine. All of us have missed her terribly, especially my 7-year-old son. I stumbled across this Etsy site and am so happy I did! Working with the artist was wonderful. My husband asked for a few things to be changed and the response/redraw was quick and exactly what we wanted. The pillow arrived and it was perfect. It's our girl exactly! Thank you!!!" —adamskj73

Get it from DrawYourPortrait on Etsy for $50+ (available in six styles and six sizes).

13. A pet-monitoring camera to ensure your naughty fur babies stay out of trouble. It comes with 1080p HD video, 30-foot night vision, built-in live chat so you can consult a vet 24/7, motion alerts, and two-way communication.

Promising review: "I bought the PetCube camera in October. Great crystal clear wide colorful picture! Night vision is unbelievable. You can choose for it to be on automatic or set it yourself. The two-way sound is fabulous, allowing you to listen to what’s going on where your camera is with a microphone to talk to your dog/cat/toddler etc., and they can respond. I love how I can get notifications if my dog is moving around. It’s nice to get notifications that there’s a human around, too. It lets me know if my sister happens to check on my dog when I’m gone. I had some trouble with the sound at the beginning. PetCube’s Company promptly got with me to assist me and address the problem. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had. Their customer service is stellar!!" —Cherie

Get it from Amazon for $34.99.

14. An odor-eliminating spray so you can lift stains and odors fast. Each spray releases bacteria that feeds on the ammonia left behind after your pet's accidents, eliminating the urine completely and deterring your pet from peeing in the same spot again.

The spray

Promising review: "I have six elderly cats, and a few of them oftentimes leave smelly pee puddles to register their disdain at whatever cats get 'peed off' about. It's not a litter box problem and, although I've caught one or two of them doing it, I can't blame them all. This product works great on fresh messes as well as dried ones. After blotting up fresh pee pods, I saturate the area with Rocco & Roxie's odor remover and let dry. For dried stinky stuff, I just saturate the area and let it dry. It has a pleasant odor and completely eliminates the ammonia odor. Believe me, I've tried all kinds of products, and this one works the best. I buy gallons now just to have on hand. It's better than smelling that awful pee!" —mona mia

Get it from Amazon for $19.97 (or Subscribe & Save for $18.97/month).

15. A nail grinder if you want your wood floors and furniture to remain free of scratch marks. It'll trim your pup's claws to an acceptable length so they don't leave behind gouges in your beautiful oak flooring. Plus it's super quiet and smooth, which is ideal for dogs who get spooked by regular nail clippers.

Before photo of a reviewer's dog with extremely long, thick nails and an after photo of the same dog with neatly trimmed nails

Promising review: "As a groomer I’ve used professional dog grooming Dremels that cost double and triple what this little guy cost and this is great! It came ready to do the job. It is easy to hold and is perfect for touch-ups after clipping the nails or just tipping them. It is nice to not have another cord hanging around and charges quick. I don’t leave the charger plugged in all of the time since that tends to kill the battery a lot faster. If I know I have a dog coming in I’ll charge it and use it that day and the charge usually lasts for a few days, (depending how often I use it). I don’t recommend using it on big dogs unless you are just touching up the nails since it doesn’t have the strength to grind down big nails like that." —T.I.M.

Get it from Amazon for $29.99.

16. A liquid tartar remover for dogs who desperately need their teeth cleaned but who also won't let you near them with a toothbrush. (Think of it as doggy mouthwash!) Just add this to their water and you'll notice your dog's plaque and bad breath subside.

Before and after showing the product significantly lightened brown stains on a dog's teeth and reduced gum inflammation

Promising review: "I have worked in a veterinarian clinic and have seen how gross a dog's teeth can get when there is no or little dental care. I have been using this faithfully for the last three years since my dog's last dental cleaning. He is now 11 years old and between this water additive used daily and scaling his teeth with the scaler approximately once a year he has been spared additional dental cleanings and anesthesia. I must say his teeth look great and his gumline nice and pink. I just scaled his teeth today and it has been at least a year since I have done so. I was impressed by the small amount of plaque compared to when I wasn't using a water additive. I believe by routinely addressing your dogs dental needs through a water additive cleanser, and scaling or brushing, your dog will likely never need a dental cleaning from a vet." —Ringo Starr

Get it from Amazon for $7.30+ (or Subscribe & Save for $7.71/month; available in three flavors and two sizes).

17. A pack of stain-removing pads that'll make you feel like you're taking the lazy way out of dealing with pet messes. Just place it on a stain — pee, poop, vomit, and even wine spills — and stomp. Then watch the spot disappear!

Promising review: "Our poor older pup started having some incontinence issues and had several accidents in the house. I was really frustrated until I found these. They work amazingly well. They're small, so if the area was larger I had to use two or three, but they pulled up stains and saved the house from being smelly. I even used one on an older stain (that I'm pretty sure wasn't pet-related) and it came up after leaving it on for about 24 hours. I make sure to keep a supply of these in the house at all times now." —MC

Get them from Amazon for $24.99 for a 20-pack.

18. A box of compostable dog poop bags because, "Woof woof." I can speak dog and Fido just said you should buy these.

The bags, which are decorated with drawings of a dog, cat, bones, a paw print, and the words, "I'm a cornstarch bag"

While you can compost these bags, you should not add them to your backyard compost if they're holding dog poop. Instead, you'll need to get a special compost bin just for dog waste. Yes, it's an extra step, but it's a worthwhile one!

Promising review: "We've been trying to eliminate single-use plastics, and felt guilty about putting two-plus plastic bags into the trash each day from our pup. These bags are really great. We've been through two rolls and none have ripped or degraded in our palms (haha). They're sturdy, hold in the scent, and you'll feel good about using them." —Anonymous

Get 120 from Amazon for $15.99 (or Subscribe & Save for $15.19/month).

19. A jar of ear cleaner wipes to gently lift goop and gunk and prevent ear infections as well as wax buildup.

Promising review: "My coonhound always seems to have smelly itchy ears. I'm hoping to use these as maintenance rather than having the vet charge every other month. The wipes smell nice, and make cleaning the gunk easy. They are really saturated, which I'm sure helps with the cleaning, so I followed up with a paper towel to help dry his ears afterwards. He didn't seem to mind at all, and I haven't seen him shaking his head like before." —Rina

Get them from Amazon for $10.39 (or Subscribe & Save for $9.87/month).

20. A snout soother so your pup's snoot stays soft, moisturized, and oh-so boopable., Amazon

Promising review: "Well, I have never before been so shocked at the effectiveness of a product. Our 5-year-old Frenchie, Carol, had a nose that was so crusty it was sprouting these long strands of more crust. There was literally crust on crust on crust. The nose had strings of crust. This nose was so crusty and repulsive it was almost beautiful. Her nose might have resembled the rarest, most exotic geode to be mined from the rarest mine in Guatemala. A friend recommended Snout Soother for Carol's repulsive nose. I was worried she would just lick it all off and it wouldn't work. We never imagined she could have a regular, soft, moist nose again. Honestly this product is some black magic stuff! Unbelievable results in three to five days. No one paid me to write this." —Brittany

Get it from Amazon for $7.95 (or Subscribe & Save for $7.55/month).

21. A purring cat toy if your kitty is suffering from anxiety. This purple guy has a built-in purring mechanism so your feline can enjoy the sensation of curling up to another purring "cat." It also plays calming, comforting sounds.

Promising review: "Works like a charm! I recently found myself a cat mama of an abandoned week-old kitten. I bought this knowing she needed just something to cuddle up to in her bed. Turns out it basically hypnotizes her to sleep. She crawls to it, kneads it and eventually her meows turn to silence. I wish the purring lasted longer but for $10 it is a lifesaver. She's pooped on it a couple of times so I've had to throw it in the washer and dryer minus the battery pack. It's held up great." —S Leytem

Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

22. A devastatingly effective handheld vacuum for sucking up pet hair. It has a special rubber nozzle that picks up fur with ease, especially on hard-to-vacuum areas like stairs. There's no bag, so simply pop off the canister when you're done vacuuming and dump the contents in the trash.

Promising review: "Holy crap!! Are you skeptical when it comes to buying stuff online? ME TOO! That's why I figured all of these rave reviews were a crock of crap. I've seriously bought every kind of vacuum out there, including the Rumba, which is about as intelligent as a cotton swab. But I have four cats and a golden retriever, so I was getting desperate! I believe the saying is… a picture is worth a thousand words. Check mine out (above)! Of note — the 'before' picture was taken of my dog's bed AFTER it went through the washer and dryer. Look at all of that left-behind hair!!! And the 'after' picture was taken after only THREE MINUTES spent vacuuming her bed. I. Am. SOLD! BTW, I've NEVER taken the time to review a product before, just FYI." —Luka Chan

Get it from Amazon for $36.99.

23. A pooper scooper that'll scoop the dang poop so you don't have to kneel down to pick it up.

The pooper scooper, which has a rake and a garbage bin

Promising review: "With three dogs, two small and one large, scooping the yard is a never-ending job. But with the Arm & Hammer swivel bin and rake, there is no more bending to pick up the doggy droppings. I am able to easily use the rake to push the droppings into the bag covered bin. When I am done cleaning up the yard, I just simply remove the plastic bag from the scoop, tie it off, and dispose. I do spray the rake off with the hose sprayer and then clip the rake onto the scooper for easy storage. I really like this handy scooper. It makes a very icky job much easier to handle." —Kelly Eldred

Get it from Amazon for $17.94.

24. A Wobble Wag Giggle ball with an internal noisemaker and six pockets because it'll engage your pet's natural curiosity and having them rolling, fetching, and shaking it until they're panting.

A very happy white, brown, and black dog sitting on grass with the ball in front of him

Promising review: "Wow!! This hasn't been out of the box 10 minutes and my little Shih-Poo Girl is exhausted!! She loves squeaky toys, but she usually has the squeaker out in five to 10 minutes, and she gets upset because they don't make noise anymore. I was looking on Amazon for some dog toys and I was watching the video about this ball and she heard the noise and started barking and looking all over for it, That's when I knew I had to try it with her. Now she can get some exercise that I can not personally help her with (I'm disabled)." —hill1000

Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

25. A tiered water fountain to encourage picky cats to stay hydrated. Some cats hate drinking still water (long story short, it's a defense mechanism), so a fountain with running water may be more enticing.

The tiered fountain, which has a 100-ounce water capacity and a free-falling stream

Promising review: "I have been through a few fountains for my kitties and this one is by far my favorite one. Most of the others are hard to clean, complicated, etc. This one is so simple; put it in the top rack of the dishwasher for a good cleaning and then it is so simple to put back together. Also, with any of this fountains, it is important to take apart the pump and clean out the hair occasionally." —Catfor1957

Get it from Chewy for $29.95.

26. A ~waffle-y~ cute hide-and-seek toy so playtime lasts longer than five minutes. Inquisitive dogs will enjoy the challenge of extracting the squeaky toys, and you'll actually being able to get some work done. These soft toys are safe for teething pups but they may not last long if you have a more enthusiastic chewer.

Promising review: "Dog loves this toy. She loves the strawberries. The squeakers drive her nuts and they’re the perfect size/texture for her to walk around with them. The waffle is a fun game; I can hide the strawberries or other treats inside and keep the doggo busy for a while. Well-made and super cute. She’s not a chewer, so I think this’ll last us a while." —Stephanie

Get it from Amazon for $9.20+ (available in five styles).

27. Or a chew stick if you saw the soft toy above and thought, "That's cute but my dog would rip that to pieces in five seconds flat." This durable chew toy is designed to taste and feel like real wood — but don't worry, it won't splinter like real wood.

Dog chewing the stick-shaped toy

Promising review: "I have a large 120-pound Anatolian shepherd who loves to chew, and this is probably her favorite toy. This will last a week or two before it is reduced to a little nub, at which point I remove it from the rotation of toys she chews. Never allow the dog to have it once it is too small, as then it is a choking hazard. The Dogwood toy is made to slowly sort of crumble, so only little flakes come off, and I like that because it never produces slivers which are dangerous. I am sure the dog ingests some of the material, but it is small, non-toxic, and passable. My dog has chewed these since she was a puppy, going through many of these, and she has never gotten ill or vomited. However, if you are concerned about some of the reviews which state that this product is dangerous, please talk to your veterinarian about your dog specifically." —Fluffpuppypup

Get it from Amazon for $9.56+ (available in four sizes).

28. A Bissell portable dog bath and grooming system for keeping your pupperino smelling nice and fresh without traumatizing them with a bathtub. The special nozzle is designed to get under the fur for a deep clean.

Promising review: "I was looking for a solution for my elderly dog as she cannot get in and out of the tub. The Bark Bath did a great job cleaning her up and I did not have to lift her in the bath. I was worried about her being scared of the sound but she didn't give it a second thought. The best part was no chasing her around to get a towel on her before she shakes and soaks the bathroom. I would recommend." —Shatterproof

Get it from Amazon for $142.32.

29. A pack of paw protection cream that'll come in handy year round to guard against ice and salt in the winter and scorching hot sidewalks and sand in the summer. It's made with vitamin E to keep the paw pads moisturized, but some reviewers use it on their own dry, cracked heels as well as their tattoos.

Before photo of a dog's paw pads looking dry next to an after photo of the same dog's paws looking moisturized after applying the balm

Promising review: "My dog has extremely dry and cracked paws, so rough she gets stuck to the carpet. I've tried just about everything, all failed for various reasons. This product works. I was only able to do one paw the first time, she fought me like a demon. Next time she let me do all four with little fuss, she likes the result. I followed everyone's lead and put it on right before walks. I've noticed that she wants to run and jump more, and genuinely is happy with her feet. One downside is because it softens the pads you have to be careful where they step; she picked up a thorny branch where before the treatment it wouldn't penetrate. Fair trade in my opinion; now we can play and snuggle without her scratching me up. Bottom line: love it, the dog loves it, good value little goes a long ways.Peggy

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

30. An orthopedic pet bed because your pet deserves the royal treatment. Plus, the cover is machine-washable so you can just throw it in the wash when it starts to get stinky.

Dog lying on the brown bed

Promising review: "Our Great Pyrenees loves this bed! It is just the right size for her 100-pound body, with room for our 10-pound terrier to snuggle up, too. Our big dog is getting older (she's 7) and the extra cushion and bolster seem to work well for her." —Katherine

Get it from Wayfair for $23.07+ (available in five sizes and five colors).

31. A pet hair remover to do the dang job. This thingamajig couldn't be easier to use; just run it over your carpet, couch, clothes, car seats, and more and it'll collect pet fur that's deeply embedded.

Reviewer photo showing the pile of fur this tool removed from a chair

Promising review: "If you have a pet that sheds, buy this now. I don’t know how they did it, but this is the most remarkable pet hair remover — ever. We have tried them all. This product removes every single hair with a few strokes. Now if it only did windows..." —Kim Ruby

Get it from Amazon for $12.95.

32. A pack of puppy bites so you can train your newest fur child *and* support healthy brain function. These treats are made of fruits, veggies, and two kinds of meats, and they have added vitamins that are intended to help promote your pup's brain development.

Reviewer holding the treats, which are about the size of a Cheez-it

Reviewer say they're a little large for small mouths, so you may want to cut them smaller for little dogs.

Promising review: "My Yorkie is no longer a puppy at 4 years old but she likes very small chewy treats. She has been gaining weight because the treats I give her are larger and I thought these Wellness Soft Puppy Bites may be a good treat for her. The ingredients are quite good with lamb and salmon being the first two. These are quite healthy and small enough that they won't pack on the pounds even if I give my dog a few a day. The price is steeper than mega bags of treats but with questionable ingredients so I am OK with it. I especially would be careful if my dog were still a puppy as their digestive systems are still developing. My dog loves these treats and is happy with two or three a day. I am pleased with these for the ingredients and my dog loves them for the texture and taste. I would feed a puppy these treats and feel good about it." —Patty T

Get it from Amazon for $4.49 (or Subscribe & Save for $4.27/month).

33. A Carpet Miracle carpet shampoo solution if you thought the many, many years' worth of pet stains still lodged in your carpet just couldn't be removed. Wrong! This cleaning solution is Leaping Bunny-certified, yet it's powerful enough to erase all traces of your pet's accidents. Just look at the "before" and "after" below!

Promising review: "I was very skeptical of the ratings. I just have to say they’re accurate. I had a room that had housed some pets while we were away at work and over many years accidents happened. When you’re not there to clean it up right away the carpet gets stained. I had used carpet cleaners with all kinds of recommended cleaners. But it just didn’t have an impact. After using up the last of another cleaner I had I finally opened this one. The pictures are just after some light spot cleaning and one round with the carpet cleaner." —Kristen K
