Just a bunch of products that are really, really good at what they do. 💪🏽

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. No7's Stay Perfect Foundation if you want a long-lasting foundation that keeps your oiliness under wraps and lasts all day without creasing or clogging your pores.

Promising review: "Perfect amount of medium coverage, and the SPF is an amazing plus!! Stays on all day and looks flawless!" —alipb8eb

Get it from No7 for $15.99 (available in 11 shades).

    2. A cruelty-free lengthening mascara so you can make your dream of voluminous, curly lashes come true. It's lightweight, won't transfer, doesn't smudge, and lasts all day — what more could you ask for?,

Promising review: "Love this mascara! I’ve used the 'best of the best' designer, super hyped, ultra popular mascara available and NOTHING compares to this stuff! I don’t even bother using a lash curler anymore! I buy two at a time so I always have a spare (yes, it’s that good!!). I highly recommend this particular goes on effortlessly, it lasts pretty much all day, and the price — I feel like I’m almost stealing it! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!!!" —chulaboola

Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

    3. A maracuja oil to help stressed skin. This lightweight, cold-pressed maracuja and yangu oil blend is rich in antioxidants that can firm, brighten, and protect the skin.

    The bottle
    @nyakiobeauty / Via

Nyakio is a Black-owned beauty brand created by Nyakio Kamoche Grieco. The line is paraben-, phthalate-, sulfate-, mineral oil–, petrolatum-, and formaldehyde-free and made with fair trade shea butter.

Promising review: "I have recently gotten into clean skincare, and this face oil is a new favorite! First of all, the packaging is great and well thought out; the stopper mechanism helps keep excess oil from spilling all over the place. Second, the oil has a nice feel to it, moisturizing without being sticky. I also love how it smells! Lastly, it gives me a great glow, and paired with the baobab moisturizer, it makes for a perfect primer before applying makeup! 10/10 highly recommend!" —BBrooks

Get it from Target for $40.49.

    4. A pair of moisture-wicking high-rise 7/8 compression leggings that'll keep you cool during sweaty HIIT sessions and yoga flows.

Model running in sand wearing the leggings in orange
    Free People

Promising review: "I've tried leggings from all the major activewear brands and just got these in black a week ago. It quickly became my favorite pair :) Perfect for yoga and Pilates. They're super comfortable, do a great job of staying up, and the seam lines are really cute and flattering." —emmanyc

Get them from Free People for $98 (available in sizes XS–L and 18 colors).

    5. A grooming rake because it'll help loosen fur, lighten your dog's undercoat, and prevent future mats. This brush is specifically designed for pooches with thick, dense fur or double coats.

Reviewer photo of a husky sitting next to a pile of fur that's almost as big as itself and has been removed with the rake

Promising review: "I wish I could give this thing seven stars, but five will have to do. I was able to pull entire sheets of undercoat out of our husky without disturbing the topcoat. I've never had anything work so well. It's even easier to keep the fur pile together. The fur stays clumped instead of getting spread out and floating around like with the blade style Furminator. This thing really digs the loose stuff out so much faster and easier. Check the photo to see what 20 minutes will get you." —pvfjr

Get it from Amazon for $11.89.

    6. A sports bra for silky smooth support and compression. It's ideal for low- to medium-impact activities, like cycling, Pilates, and yoga.

Get it from Bandier for $58 (available in sizes XS–XXL and nine colors).

    7. A hydrating lip balm made with honey, plant oils, and shea butter because it's so dang moisturizing that you will never — and I really mean never — stray from it.

Reviewer photo of the lip balm, which comes in a small pot

Nuxe's Rêve de Miel lip balm is truly holy grail-tier IMHO. I bought my first pot at a pharmacy in Paris after hearing British beauty bloggers rave about it — and it did not disappoint. It's quite thick when you first apply but it literally melts on your lips when you rub it in. It feels hydrating without being sticky, and a little goes a long way. My lips are basically never chapped — not even in the middle of winter — thanks to this dreamy lip salve. I'm pretty sure Nuxe stopped selling this in the US, so we are truly blessed that Amazon carries it. (Seriously, I love this lip balm so much that I accepted two pots of it as payment for house-sitting for a month.)

Get it from Amazon for $24.

    8. A bottle of Futuredew if you want that dewy, glowy, I-just-got-eight-hours-of-sleep look. Apply it as a last step in your skincare routine and enjoy 12 hours of bright, radiant skin.

    Model with glowing skin

Promising review: "I wasn’t sure how to use this or why I should until I got myself a little sample and had a go and then — BAM! WOW! I recently recovered from 10 years of acne (and still get occasional zits), and now I have combination skin with some dry patches. My makeup always seems to reveal the dry spots more than anything else — until Futuredew. I put this on under my foundation and after my moisturizer and not only does my skin look luminous (not oily), but it looks younger, no longer patchy, healthier, and just down right radiant! It just glows and I feel great — especially since this pandemic began. This is just one little spark of joy that makes me feel good, so even though I’m working from home, I put this on every morning to set the tone for my day." —Lindsey

Get it from Glossier for $24.

    9. A hydroponic AeroGarden so you can grow fresh herbs (and even salad greens) on your counter without soil (no soil = no mess!). It even reminds you when to feed your plamps so people with black thumbs can participate.

    The AeroGarden

It comes with Genovese basil, curly parsley, dill, thyme, Thai basil, and mint pods and a three-ounce bottle of plant food.

Promising review: "I have to say I have a black thumb; I have practically killed cactuses — but I love to cook so I've always wanted to garden and get fresh herbs and veggies. I decided to take the leap and buy this to see if my plant-murdering days were behind me, and turns out they are! It pretty much grows on its own with very little input from me!" —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $99.99+ (available in three colors).

Check out my colleague's AeroGarden review here for more deets!

    10. A year-round paw protection cream to guard against scorching hot sidewalks and sand in the summer and ice and salt in the winter. It's made with vitamin E to keep the paw pads moisturized, but some reviewers use it on their dry, cracked heels as well as their tattoos.

Reviewer before and after showing how effective the balm is moisturizing a dog's paw pads

Promising review: "I live in Florida where the pavement gets very hot in the summer. I started to notice my dog’s pads getting chapped and rough. Whenever I would touch them he would recoil, which made me think they were bothering him. I ordered Mushers because I hate when my hands are dry and I couldn’t stand to think my baby might be uncomfortable or even in pain! It was actually difficult to apply at first because my dogs paws were so rough. After the first application I noticed a difference in the texture of his paws. Not just immediately after application but the following day as well. When I went to apply the next day I noticed it was significantly easier to apply because my dog’s paws were significantly softer. With every subsequent application I noticed my dog’s paws were softer and less rough. After five days of application they feel like a baby’s butt! Definitely recommend and will be repurchasing. This has become part of my pup’s routine." —Lexi Berger

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

    11. A TubShroom if your relaxing showers have turned into you standing in a puddle of water for 15 minutes because the drain is clogged...again. This little guy snags the hair you shed before it can collect in the pipes.

Promising review: "I have long hair and recently had a baby. This means the poor tub drain is getting clogged every time we turn around, and we're spending ridiculous amounts of time with that spiky stick thing you shove down there and then pull out over and over. I figured if this even worked to catch half of my hair then it would be worth its salt. Holy moly. When they say it catches every hair they aren't kidding. We clean it off about twice A WEEK! And when they say it's easy to clean, they are right again. A swipe with toilet paper and the hair blob comes right off to be flushed down the toilet. I've already told so many people about this product because I love it so much. Fantastic!!!" —sasamo

Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in six colors).

    12. A pack of bottle-cleaning tablets so you can reclaim your favorite thermos from the pile of forgotten mugs. These tablets will lift old stains and odors so your cups are finally usable again.

Promising review: "This stuff is AMAZING!!!!!! It is completely worth the price. You will be AMAZED at how fast it works and how efficiently too. I admit, I was a little skeptical, even with other users posting pictures. For me, it was a try it to believe it. I did and I totally do. It works so well that it has made one of my tea tumblers look better than when I bought it. I would highly recommend this product!" —T. V. Henson

Get a pack of 12 tablets from Amazon for $8.

    13. A stylish ceramic cup to hold anything from coffee or a cocktail to flowers and pens.

    The cups

This is the bidet I use and I 100% recommend to my friends, family, and to you, dear reader. Installation was pretty simple; from start to poop it took about 15 minutes. The sensation is truly something if you've never experienced it before, but the cool water will probably feel good once it's summer and my apartment gets nice and steamy. (There's also a version of this attachment that sprays warm water if you're into that!)

Promising review: "Absolutely love it! Was super easy to install and now I’ll never go back to just regular ol' toilet paper because this makes me feel so fresh and clean!" —Kevin B

Get it from Tushy for $79 (originally $99; also available in silver).

    15. A liquid tartar remover for dogs who desperately need their teeth cleaned but who also won't let you near them with a toothbrush. (Think of it as doggy mouthwash!) Just add this to their water and you'll notice your dog's plaque and bad breath subside.

Promising review: "My dog's molars were turning black and he had a ton of buildup on his canines. In the photo (above), just imagine everywhere you see slight yellow, instead covered in black and brown gunk and hard plaque. His gums were beginning to look inflamed. And, of course, his breath could kill a horse. After one week of constant use (a cap full for every bowl of water) you could see an obvious difference in tooth color. I was blown away. (Why can’t human mouthwash do such a good job on our teeth?) After three weeks, his molars were almost completely clean. After a couple months of use, the plaque on his canines was soft enough to brush some of it off, which was totally impossible before. Plaque covered the canine approximately 70%. Obviously that's no longer the case. Idk what insane solvent this is made of, but it keeps his gross mouth clean as a whistle. Now I don’t have to worry about my picky princess mutt losing his teeth because he can’t be bothered to chew anything." —BaconPancakes

Get it from Amazon for $6.87.

    16. A delicious Kevin's Natural Foods sauce packet for simplifying supper and helping you stick with your Keto and Paleo lifestyle. Simply pour the sauce on the meat of your choice (there's even a 10-minute recipe on the back if you're looking for meal ideas), and that's dinner!

Chicken wings with Kevin's Korean BBQ Sauce

Promising review: "These sauces are magic. A high-end trick added to our meal prep. Really tasty options. We have been doing meal prep for quite a while and the salt and pepper meals were getting old. We tried to incorporate skillet sauces into our meals and tried all the brands out there. They were OK but not very healthy. When I saw these on Amazon I had to try them (Keto- and Paleo- Certified), and they taste amazing. Now we have a different flavor each and every day and we can still keep the diet." —Fernando Pimentel

Get it from Amazon for $15 (available in 11 flavors).

    17. Bar Keepers Friend, a hardworking cleanser because you're tired of scrubbing (and scrubbing) the food bits burned onto your stove and not seeing it get any cleaner. It's safe to use on porcelain, stainless-steel, copper, so bye-bye stains!

BuzzFeed editor's before and after showing the cleaner removed all the black stains around her stovetop burners
    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "As of late, my 7-year-old Le Creuset has been looking anything but appetizing. It had a lot of black stains from constant use, and I've never been able to find anything to get rid of them. However, BKF managed to make it look like new! And the scrubbing pad worked like a charm. I was left with a clean Dutch oven and absolutely no scratches or damage to the enamel. I wish I had taken a before picture to fully illustrate the difference. I will definitely purchase this product again." —Carrie M.

Though we love to accommodate, I know he wanted more. He was constantly rubbing his cheeks and ears on the corner of our walls to get even more scratching. I finally came across this product and knew he would love it! It took a little convincing but once he got a hang of it he’s been loving it! We have one in the living room, one in the kitchen, one at the top of the stairs and one in the guest room! He is having a great time!!! Very easy to put together and place on the wall." —T. The Doux is a Black-owned business run by Maya Smith, a hair master and salon owner. Smith's hair care line, which is heavily inspired by '90s culture and features plenty of musical puns, is designed for people of color with natural hair.

Promising review: "I would say my natural hair type is 3c/4a and it didn't weigh my hair down at all. So far, I've used Mousse Def on both twist-outs and braid-outs, which is funny because I've actually never used a foam mousse for either of those before, only creme products. I first saturated each section of my hair with water, then worked through one generous pump of this product. I love this product so much because it doesn't leave my hair flaky or crunchy. The hold is GREAT for it to be so lightweight, it's super moisturizing as it didn't dry my hair out, and it gives me amazing curl definition that lasts for a good amount of days. I've held onto styles using this product for as a long as a week! Would definitely recommend!" —liseep

A good cleaning every now and then can help ensure your dishes emerge sparkling clean.

Promising review: "My dishwasher was getting into horrible shape. The top tray would stick and bind no matter how careful I was. The bottom tray was making noises when I moved it. The whole inside of the dishwasher was growing a coating of white mineral deposits. The washing arms were making noises during wash cycles. The dishes were not getting clean. When my order of Affresh arrived, I ran a clean cycle. When I opened the dishwasher at the end, it was clean. Both trays moved easily. The washing arms were clean. The next load of dishes was spotless. Now I run a cleaning cycle the first of every month. This is one product that I will not do without. My dishwasher is five years old, but after using Affresh it looks virtually new." —Mithrandir
