    1. A pumice cleaning stone because it's time for those caked-on hard water deposits to go so you can take your proper place atop a glistening porcelain throne.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I have very hard water that leaves hard water buildup and nasty stains. It’s embarrassing to have guests over because the toilets are so gross! I have tried so many products and cleaning solutions — from natural essential oils to harsh chemicals so strong I was lightheaded for the rest of the day. Well, I tried out this pumice stone after reading about it in a BuzzFeed article, and honestly the hype is real! It does take some elbow grease, but the after picture is from only 20 minutes of scrubbing, light enough that I didn’t break a sweat! The stone does get used up, but I think this one should last me a couple years at least. So if you have embarrassing toilets, try this!" —Stephanie Ray

    2. A grout paint pen that'll cover up years of residue from dirty feet, uncleaned spills, and mysterious stains that have discolored your grout. It works like a regular marker, so even the people who failed art can use it.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "This stuff is amazing! After over 10 years of the grout not being cleaned, and a botched repair job, the bathroom floor in this house looked horrendous. Two pens covered the entire bathroom floor, with plenty left over in the second pen, even with applying two to three layers (which you will definitely need as the paint is a bit thin and also absorbs into the grout). Super easy to apply, works exactly like a regular paint marker. Be sure to press the pen tip on a separate (thick) cloth to activate it before actually using on the grout so you don't end up with a huge mess on the tile when the paint floods out at first. If you see the first side of the tip is getting frayed, just pull it out and turn it around to the other side." —regalle

    3. Or a power scrubber for anyone who's determined to clean their grout...as long as it requires minimal effort. It's basically an electric toothbrush but for cleaning tile grout and hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.

Reviewer photo of their tile grout, which is is white and clean where the scrubber has been used and dark brown where it still needs to be brushed
    amazon.com

Promising review: "I just spent two hours scrubbing the ceramic tile floor in my second bathroom. This is a room where my elderly, incontinent cat lives so... use your imagination. I leave pee pads and towels down, but she still does her thing. I clean her room consistently, and every few months I do a heavy duty scrubbing by soaking the floor and grout in Nature's Miracle and start scrubbing. It takes hours because I can't get the corners well, and the grout is such a pain to clean. Well, this product is amazing. I used this for the grout lines, and I used the corner attachment for... corners. It was amazing. It got gunk and grime off the grout that has been there for years (I haven't resealed this floor since it will have to be taken out when the cat dies). I even used these to scrub the cabinet doors, around the toilet, etc. and they were really, really great. you have to put the right amount of pressure on the brush, but once you do, it's *wonderful.*" —None

It's safe for unwaxed, non-oiled, polyurethane-finished wood flooring. Just spray it on wood and wipe with a mop or Swiffer.

Promising review: "I moved into an apartment with absolutely disgusting wood floors. Whenever I would walk on it my feet would turn black. I used this product as well as a rag and a cleaning brush. It worked very well and now I’m not scared or grossed-out walking on my floors! The pictures are 'before' and 'afters' from cleaning." —fwk

    5. A robot vacuum so you can say goodbye to the mountain of fur that's piling up now that your pup is shedding his winter coat.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "After running eufy for nearly two months now, I can confidently say I absolutely LOVE it! It is amazing on my hardwood floors. It picks up sooo much fine dust brought in by my two German Shepherds! They shed year-round! And it’s super effective with pet hair! Wow! I use Eufy once a day for a little more than hour, emptying and cleaning the brushes out about three to four times during use. It seriously has been life-changing, keeping my floors cleaner than sweeping! Great purchase and I would highly recommend!!" —Jacqueline M

Promising review: "I have an older pug and he has always been good, but I knew one day this machine would be brought out. I had it nine months before my first use. He got sick one week, and I literally used the machine about 12 times in a week. All I can say is Bissell knocked it out of the park with this. It’s amazing. It cleans so well. It is the simplest machine I have ever used that does so much. It is well designed. Quick set up. And clean up. It does all the work for you. And it does a fantastic job. I love it. Worth every penny. I’ll never be without one. If you are on the fence, buy it. I can’t believe how good this machine works. And the design is flawless. The tanks are so easy to fill. And clean for storage. And if it can clean 100% of what we had this week. It can clean anything!!! Like it never even happened. Thank you Bissell!!!" —David

    7. An odor-eliminating spray because you love your kitty but you also love when your carpets don't smell like pee. Promising review: "I have six elderly cats, and a few of them oftentimes leave smelly pee puddles to register their disdain at whatever cats get 'peed off' about. It's not a litter box problem and, although I've caught one or two of them doing it, I can't blame them all. This product works great on fresh messes as well as dried ones. After blotting up fresh pee pads, I saturate the area with Rocco & Rossi's odor remover and let dry. For dried stinky stuff, I just saturate the area and let it dry. It has a pleasant odor and completely eliminates the ammonia odor. Believe me, I've tried all kinds of products, and this one works the best. I buy gallons now just to have on hand. It's better than smelling that awful pee!" —mona mia

    8. A drain clog remover that'll conquer the hair monster in your shower drain, simultaneously impressing and disgusting you.

Reviewer holding the snake, which has grabbed a massive chunk of hair from the drain
    amazon.com

Promising review: "When I pulled the orange plastic spiked strip from the package, I was immediately skeptical and felt like all those five-star reviews were from people who exist in an alternate universe. I was tempted to initiate a return on Amazon but decided that I might as well gamble on a piece of $9 plastic before gambling $200 on a plumber. I slipped the plastic strip down my shower drain and literally FIVE SECONDS LATER I was pulling up gobs and gobs and gobs of hair. HOLY COW!!!!!!!! OHMYGOSH. I can't believe I still have any hair left on my head. SO MUCH REPULSIVE GUNK!!!! I saved my prize hairball on the shower floor to show my husband because I knew he would be as skeptical as I was. We both agree it looks like a small raccoon or a large squirrel lying helplessly on my shower floor. It's a grisly, messy, smelly and oh-so-rewarding job." —Chocolate and Chips

    9. A bottle of hard water booster powder for making mugs that look like the one on the left (aka cloudy) look more like the mug on the right (aka nice and shiny).

I was using up to three soap blocks in each load with only partial improvement. I used this the first time and voilà! Perfectly clean flatware for the first time. I LOVE this!" —Susan A

There's no bag, so simply pop off the canister when you're done vacuuming and dump the contents in the trash.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Holy crap!! Are you skeptical when it comes to buying stuff online? ME TOO! That's why I figured all of these rave reviews were a crock of crap. I've seriously bought every kind of vacuum out there, including the Roomba, which is about as intelligent as a cotton swab. But I have four cats and a golden retriever, so I was getting desperate! I believe the saying is… a picture is worth a thousand words. Check mine out (above)! Of note — the 'before' picture was taken of my dog's bed AFTER it went through the washer and dryer. Look at all of that left-behind hair!!! And the 'after' picture was taken after only THREE MINUTES spent vacuuming her bed. I. Am. SOLD! BTW, I've NEVER taken the time to review a product before, just FYI." —Luka Chan

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Our poor older pup started having some incontinence issues and had several accidents in the house. I was really frustrated until I found these. They work amazingly well. They're small, so if the area was larger I had to use two or three, but they pulled up stains and saved the house from being smelly. I even used one on an older stain (that I'm pretty sure wasn't pet related) and it came up after leaving it on for about 24 hours. I make sure to keep a supply of these in the house at all times now." —MC

As I was preparing for a move, I decided to give OxiClean a try and see if it could remove the stains that had been there for well over SEVEN YEARS. I honestly don't even know what caused the stains, but OxiClean removed them. I wish I'd done this sooner!" —Little Greek

I have a long-haired 20-pound tabby and if you run your hands up his back a few times and fling the hair everywhere, it looks like it's snowing — he never stops shedding no matter what I do. After using the ChomChom, I can put on a black dress and roll around on my bed and not get a single hair on me. It's absolutely amazing. My husband and I have always had seasonal allergies but I started to wonder if there was another cause because we both kept waking up stuffy even during the off season. After learning about dust mite allergies, I ordered this vacuum as fast as my fingers could order. I just plugged in this little wonder and got to work, assuming every bit of the bed needed it. I wasn’t wrong. Pulled off everything and did the actual mattress. Yuck. Vacuumed the mattress cover and got more. Our new pillows needed it too. This vacuum is lightweight, easy to maneuver, easy to clean. But its greatest benefit is the peace of mind it provides. We’re all going to sleep better tonight because of it!" —swttulip

    amazon.com

Promising review: "Be sure to use hot water; even though it won't foam as much it seems to do a lot better job. The first time I used these on a Contigo travel mug I used room-temp water, and it just came out OK. For the next travel mug, I used boiling water and the results were terrific. It looks new again. Then I used two cubes (and boiling water) in a large old pressure cooker that had become brown inside from years of making vegetable soups, and I'm amazed how clean it came out.
