Jezebel’s Tracie Egan Morrissey became just as sick as the rest of the world and decided to take some action. Many of the students listed were representing their school and community in some form. There were even a couple of students waiting to be signed on with a college. Jezebel contacted the students’ schools and checked with their handbooks. The schools were aware of the tweets but couldn’t disclose any disciplinary actions. Many twitter accounts were taken down, but some are still running and using interesting language.
I applaud Jezebel and Tracie for doing this. It shows that you can now face consequences with what you post on the internet. Just ask Denise Helms.
