“Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement,” Tracy Morgan’s rep Lewis Kay said in a statement Monday. “His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.”
Morgan and six other passengers were inside a limo bus on June 7, when a Walmart truck crashed into it, causing it to flip over and hit four other vehicles.
Morgan, 45, was critically injured and was rushed by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for surgery.
The collision on the New Jersey turnpike killed Morgan’s fellow passenger, 63-year-old comedian James McNair.
Other passengers Jeffrey Millea and Ardie Fuqua, Jr. were also critically injured in the crash on Saturday. The statement on Monday said that Millea had been upgraded to fair condition.
Kevin Roper, a Walmart driver from Georgia, plead not guilty last week to charges that he killed one person and injured four others in the collision.
Authorities said Roper, 35, had not slept for 24 hours before taking the wheel.
