1. Noah Stewart
Noah grew up in Harlem, attended LaGuardia High School and Juilliard School, and eventually took up a scholarship at the San Francisco Opera. He now has a CD out and recently played Don José in Carmen at the Royal Albert Hall.
2. Ramin Karimloo
People often debate over whether or not Ramin is truly operatic, but look at him though. In September, Ramin will reprise the role of Jean Valjean in a Canadian tour of Les Misérables.
3. Duncan Rock
Duncan is an English baritone and has had big roles like Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni and Papageno in The Magic Flute under his belt (among other big things, ayooo). Listen to him on his site.
4. Matthew Worth
Matthew originated the role of Father Flynn in the world premiere of Doubt with Minnesota Opera, and he'll debut at Washington National Opera as Starbuck in Moby-Dick.
5. Philippe Sly

7. Anthony Roth Costanzo
Not only has countertenor Anthony been performing professionally since he was 11, but he also graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University.
8. Sam Roberts-Smith
Sam is a baritone and made his debut with Opera Australia as Moralès in Carmen in 2011. He then retrained to become a tenor and has since performed roles like Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni.
9. Christopher Dylan Herbert
American baritone Christopher performs mainly with his ensemble, New York Polyphony. He also writes for the Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Foreign Policy Association about the Middle East and foreign policy, putting his master's in Middle Eastern studies from Harvard University to good use.
10. Hadleigh Adams
While baritone and occasional fashion model Hadleigh Adams is openly gay, he doesn't appreciate being stereotyped. When a gay paper in his native New Zealand called him "the queen of opera," he insisted they take down the article and rephrase.
11. Beltrán Iraburu
Beltrán is a Spanish-born baritone working in Paris. He's performed a number of roles under conductors Carlo Maria Giulini, Adam Fisher, and Riccardo Chailly. Listen to him here.
12. Timothy McDevitt
Tim is a lyric baritone and hails from Reading, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Juilliard and recently performed in a production of Carousel with the New York Philharmonic on PBS, and even sang in a speedo at the Fire Island Opera Festival.
13. Douglas Williams
Douglas, as you'd expect, has tried his hand at modeling, but in addition to being a classically trained bass-baritone, he's also received Shakespearean training, making him a fiercely versatile performer.
14. Randal Turner
Randal began his training at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and recently performed with the New York City Opera for Rufus Wainwright’s opera Prima Donna. Check out his CD here.
15. Gordon Bintner
Gordon is working on his master's in music, opera, and voice at McGill University. A bass-baritone, he made his European debut as Colline in La Bohème with Angers Nantes Opéra in France.
17. Jonas Kaufmann
Jonas is a German tenor known for his performances in spinto roles such as Don José in Carmen, Cavaradossi in Tosca, and the title role in Don Carlos.
18. Erwin Schrott
Erwin is a bass-baritone from Uruguay. He is in a relationship with Russian soprano Anna Netrebko and they've appeared together in Don Giovanni with the New York Metropolitan Opera. Here's the couple singing with Jonas and cute banter in the beginning.
19. Vasil Garvanliev
Vasil is a baritone who hails from Macedonia, where he's been a celebrated performer since he was 7 years old. He then moved to Canada in 2004 and has performed such roles as Kaspar in Der Freischutz and Don Giovanni with Opera Atelier.
20. Nathan Gunn
Nathan is an American baritone and has performed at Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, and the Paris Opera. He was also featured in People's 2008 "The Sexiest Men Alive" list.
21. Charles Castronovo
Born in Queens, New York, Charles got his start as a resident artist with the Los Angeles Opera, then worked his way to prestigious programs at the San Francisco Opera and the Met Opera. Listen to his dulcet tones here.
22. Juan Diego Flórez
Juan is a Peruvian tenor, known for his roles in bel canto operas, and has received his country's highest decoration, the Gran Cruz de la Orden del Sol del Perú. Here he is singing in a production of Rossini's La donna del lago.
23. David Adam Moore
David's big break came in the form of playing the title role in Billy Budd with New Israeli Opera. Here's the Texas native singing the national anthem at a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field.
24. Adrian Kramer
A Canadian baritone, Adrian studied at Juilliard and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. He recently joined the Canadian Opera Company as an Ensemble Studio member. Listen to him here.
26. Matthew Morris
Matt has performed roles in operas, musical theater, film, and television. He trained at the Juilliard School and at the Bard College Conservatory. Boy doesn't need a mic singing Randy Newman's "I Think It's Going To Rain Today."
27. Tom Corbeil
Before he joined the chorus at San Diego Opera which started his singing career, Tom finished a bachelor's in statistics at University of California, Davis and a master's degree in Old Testament studies at Regent College in Vancouver. He also worked for three years for the U.S. Navy as a data analyst.
28. Kelly Markgraf

Donovan is a native of Crestview, Florida, and recently finished the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera as a bass-baritone. Here he is competing at the Paris Opera.

Simon is a British baritone who's been performing since the '80s and his prolific career has earned him a title from the British Empire. He's married to Zenaida Yanowsky, a principal dancer at the Royal Ballet.

John is a baritone from Ooltewah, Tennessee, and has performed in both operatic roles — Morales in Carmen with the North Carolina Opera — and musical theater roles, like Gaylord Ravenal in Showboat with the Naples Opera. Listen to him here.
