Man Arrested After Four Women Stabbed Near London Sainsbury's Car Park

The man in his sixties has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A man has been arrested after four women were stabbed near a Sainsbury's car park in southwest London.

Three women were found at the scene on Friday morning at The Avenue in Hampton, Richmond-upon-Thames, with knife wounds that are not thought to be life-threatening.

But a fourth woman found at a nearby property is being treated in hospital for knife wounds and at this stage her life is thought to be in danger.

The man, in his sixties, is in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police said a Taser was deployed but not discharged during the arrest, and the incident is not thought to be terror-related.
