Celebs Like Sia And Rosie O'Donnell Are Matching ACLU And CAIR Donations

"Anything helps."

On Friday, President Trump signed an executive order that suspended the US refugee program and blocked all people from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, and Yemen from entering the country.

In response, protestors have gathered at several airports across the US.

The executive order doesn’t explicitly say “Islam” or “Muslim.” However, during his signing ceremony at the Pentagon Friday, Trump said he is establishing “new vetting measures” to keep “radical Islamic terrorists” out of the country.

Dozens of celebrities have taken to social media — using the hashtag #MuslimBan — to protest the executive order.

A few stars are also offering to match donations made to organizations that will fight the order and help those affected by the ban.

On Saturday, singer Sia tweeted that she would match donations made to the American Civil Liberties Union, a non-profit organization fighting to have the ban overturned.

YouTube star Hank Green is donating five dollars to the ACLU for every hand-drawn message of support he receives.

For every reply to this tweet with a hand-drawn message of support for immigrants, Muslims, and/or refugees, I will donate $5 to the ACLU.

A handful of additional celebrities, including Noah McCormack, Jack Antonoff, and Chris Sacca have also offered to match donations to the ACLU and/or CAIR.

I will match donations to ACLU and/or CAIR up to $5,000. Reply with screenshot of donation (no identifying info please).
