Recipe For JOMC 271 Success: As Told By Emeril

UNC-Chapel Hill professor Joe Bob Hester challenged each of his students to explain to him in a single tweet why they should be accepted into his class. Here's a recipe to classroom success, inspired by Emeril, that is sure to include only the highest quality of student. (Which definitely includes me!)

1. Start with fresh ingredients.

Finding students who are willing to work after a long summer and approach new concepts with a fresh, open mind are key to creating a great classroom vibe. I am ready!

2. Pick flavors that complement each other.

Make sure you pick flavors that complement each other--so pick students that will work well together! I'm very laid back and easy going!

3. Make sure there aren't too many cooks in the kitchen.

Make sure that you let the professor do the teaching and that you're the one that is willing to learn! I will ask questions and engage in lecture but I will also make sure that I am absorbing all info!

4. Combine ingredients and cook.

Allow all of the perfectly prepared ingredients to absorb and cook into one amazing dish that is sure to satisfy even the most picky eaters. With my fun-loving, intellectual, and creative approach to advertising, I am an essential ingredient to creating a well-balanced class roster!

5. Season to perfection.

Take it from the master chef himself--the perfect seasoning means the perfect dish. The King of Cajun likes to kick it up a notch--spicy is good! My personality and work ethic is sure to add that extra kick that will make any class worthwhile. Especially JOMC 271!

6. Show off your hard work and enjoy!

I have a feeling we're all gonna feel like this at the end of the semester after we've created some amazing advertising work.
