You wanted to get coffee, but your date insisted on dinner. What do you wear to the restaurant? 

Your date is so quiet! What do you say to break the ice?

Um, they just ordered your food for you. What did you actually want?

Your date is being so rude to the waiter! How do you respond?

You need a freaking drink. What're you ordering?

You still have time to escape before dessert. Who can you get to call you with a fake emergency? 

The call didn't come soon enough. What's for dessert?

Uh oh, they're leaning in for a kiss. What do you do?

That sucked! What comfort food are you picking up on the way home?

You wake up to a text asking for a second date. What do you tell them?

WOW, that was so bad you need to watch something that will transport you to an entirely different world! May we suggest "The Princess Bride"? This 1987 classic is famous for its "fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles," and all of that together may be enough to make you forget the disaster you just experienced. This hilarious and touching film will tide you over until you find your very own Westley (or, let's be honest, Inigo Montoya).

"The Princess Bride"

You're an ambitious, politically savvy type, and you deserve a partner worthy of being by your side as you rise to the top. But while you're waiting for that special someone, you can lose yourself in the unlikely romance of "Long Shot." Released in 2019, it's the love story of Brooklyn journalist Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) and presidential candidate Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron), and it's the perfect thing to watch while you wait for your friends to respond to your "LOL help they were so weird" text.

That date was a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions, so it's only right that you cope with one of Hollywood's finest Shakespeare adaptations: "10 Things I Hate About You." The 1999 high school rom-com is an adaptation of "The Taming of the Shrew," and it stars Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and the late, great Heath Ledger. Also, it has one of the greatest serenades ever committed to film. No spoilers, but the marching band gets involved.

There are some problems that can only be solved with a hearty dose of '80s era Cher and Nicolas Cage, and that date was one of them. Seek comfort in "Moonstruck," the 1987 Oscar-winner about a woman who falls for her fiancé's estranged little brother. The love story is sweet, each joke is better than the last, and best of all, you can watch this movie with the next person you go out with. If they love it, you'll know you've found a keeper.
