12 Sources Of "RuPaul's Drag Race" Content That'll Keep You Going Between Episodes
Bookmark this list for when that post-finale slump hits.
If you love RuPaul's Drag Race, then you know waiting a week for new episodes can be an ordeal and a half.
Luckily, 13 regular seasons, five All Star editions, and endless spinoffs later, it's not so much a television show as it is an Extended Drag Race Universe.
Here are just a few places you can find the content you need to tide you over after you've already watched, rewatched, and dissected the latest episodes.
Disclaimer: Since the show began in 2009, 166 (!!!) contestants have competed, and that's just counting the US version. They all have their own distinct and fabulous careers, but I am but one BuzzFeeder, and this list is in no way an exhaustive account of all the amazing things they have done and continue to do. So think of this as the beginning of your exploration, not the end!

1. WOWPresents
The YouTube presence of World of Wonder (the company that produces Drag Race) could be a television network unto itself. (Which is probably why it has its own streaming service, WOW Presents Plus.) If your Drag Race journey has thus far been limited to the show itself, WOWPresents is the perfect place to start looking for bonus content. Whether you want to see legendary queens Raja and Raven critique main stage fashion (Fashion Photo RuView) or revel in the madcap banter of Season 7 besties Trixie Mattel and Katya (UNHhhh), there's something for everyone. Obsessed with Season 12's Miss Congeniality, Heidi N Closet? Check out her show Gap Chat. Need more Alyssa Edwards in your life? There's Alyssa's Secret for that. You can also find promotional materials, like this cast reveal of the show's first ever Australian season.
2. RuPaul's Drag Race

OK, yes this one is a gimme but there's a lot here for fans! You have sneak peeks of upcoming episodes, makeup tutorials, "Best Of" compilations, The Pit Stop recap, and Whatcha Packin' with Michelle Visage (where the judge interviews contestants who have been eliminated from the show about the outfits they didn't get to wear). Also, if you're into the Rusicals and other musical performances, this is where you'll find all those clips.
3. Bob The Drag Queen

Season 8 winner and all-around star Bob The Drag Queen is a delightful presence on YouTube, and back in August 2020 she announced that she would be uploading more consistently to the platform for at least the next year. If episode reviews, makeup tutorials, and challenges (like this one where comedian Matteo Lane does Bob's makeup) sound like a good time to you, click subscribe and start watching Bob be Bob!
4. Trixie Mattel

Trixie Mattel, who won All Stars Season 3, has been spending a lot more time on YouTube since the pandemic started (same). On her channel you'll find music videos, reactions to her Drag Race appearances, and the occasional baking challenge. All of this content is delivered with a healthy dose of two Trixie trademarks: A bubblegum pink aesthetic and a dry, dark sense of humor.
5. Hey Qween!

Created by comedian Jonny McGovern in 2014, this LGBTQ talk show features interviews with your favorite past contestants, as well as "Look at Huh," a recurring segment where guests react to pictures of fellow drag queens. Unfortunately, Jonny's longtime co-host Lady Red Couture died in July 2020. You can read about the legendary drag queen and Black trans woman's life and legacy here, and watch a tribute video here.

6. Sibling Rivalry

Bob The Drag Queen and Monét X Change (All Stars Season 4 co-winner) are an "intensely hilarious comedy duo with infectious chemistry" on their podcast, Sibling Rivalry. Whether they're talking about Drag Race recaps, discussions of drama within the drag community, or current events, Bob and Monét present everything in an informative, entertaining way.
7. Ace of Hearts with Monique Heart

If you, like so many other fans, adored Monique Heart during her appearances on Season 10 and All Stars 4, then you should already be listening to her podcast Ace of Hearts. If you aren't, then consider this the sign you needed to start. When you do, you can expect cultural and political deep dives and reactions to the week's headline news.
8. Race Chaser with Alaska & Willam

A long-running and popular recap pod, Race Chaser, is the product of Alaska and Willam's quest to "discuss and dissect every episode ever." With the insider perspective of two queens who have been there before — and in Alaska's case, been there twice — this show will definitely deliver on your need to relive every second of every episode.
9. Alright Mary

The hosts of this show describe it as, "two parts Drag Race viewing party, one part queer studies lecture, and a healthy dose of obscure pop culture." I loved my queer studies class in college, so maybe I'm biased, but if you didn't get the chance to take one, may I suggest starting here?

10. Legendary Children: The First Decade of RuPaul's Drag Race and the Last Century of Queer Life

Written by pop culture bloggers Tom Fitzgerald and Lorenzo Marquez, this "ultimate guide to all-things RuPaul's Drag Race and its influence on modern LGBTQ culture" is an NPR Best Book of the Year 2020. It's also a fabulous addition to any fan's personal library!
11. The Art of Drag

This coffee table book was written by Jake Hall and illustrated by Sofie Birkin, Helen Li, and Jasjyot Singh Hans. It's a conversation starter that will satisfy your need for gorgeous artwork about the past, present, and future of drag.

12. Literally...so much music...so much...
Creating a guide or even an intro to the musical careers of Drag Race alumni would have to be its own post (or website, or possibly media company). Needless to say, music is a popular post-show career pivot and you can find everyone from Jujubee, to Adore Delano, to Shea Couleé, to Aja (I could seriously go on for days) on your streaming service of choice.
Unsure of where to begin? Maybe check out Billboard's 2019 list of the 20 best songs by Drag Race queens, or this Spotify playlist rounding up every contestant's newest releases.
