Asexual And Aromantic People, Tell Us What You Wish People Would Stop Saying To You

We want to hear from you!

Being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community generally means that you have to do a little bit more explaining about your sexuality or gender than other people do.

...For now. I'll see you in hell, cis- and heteronormativity.

This burden may feel particularly acute for asexual and aromantic folks since a lack of representation, and therefore understanding, of what, exactly, the "A" in the initialism means can lead to a lot of confusion and misperceptions from others.

So, I want to ask the asexual and aromantic members of the BuzzFeed Community what they wish people would stop saying to them about their identity.

And if you want to learn more ASAP, here's a link to the Asexual Visibility & Education Network FAQ

Maybe you're tired of people assuming that you just haven't found "the one"...

...or that there's something medically "wrong" with you because you don't experience sexual attraction.

Perhaps you're just 100% over the idea that being uninterested in sex means that you don't want to date or fall in love.
