Three additional victims killed in a shooting spree that left eight dead in Texas County, Missouri, were identified Saturday by authorities.

Carey Dean Shriver, 46, his wife Valirea Love Shriver, 44, and his father Darrell Dean Shriver, 68, were identified Saturday by the Texas County Sheriff's Department.

But their relationship to the suspected shooter, 36-year-old Joseph Aldridge, or why they were targeted remained unclear.

Officials said Aldridge shot and killed four of his cousins and the Shrivers before shooting himself.

His elderly mother was also found deceased in her home of apparent natural causes.

Seven people were found shot and killed in the community of Tyrone, Missouri, Thursday night, authorities said, including four relatives of the gunman.

The suspected shooter, 36-year-old Joseph Aldridge, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the side of a highway as law enforcement spread out through the area looking for a shooter.

Aldridge's 74-year-old mother, Alice Aldridge, was also found deceased in one of multiple homes that are now considered crime scenes in the small community. She is believed to have died of natural causes, said Sgt. Jeff Kinder of the Missouri Highway Patrol.

But law enforcement officials said they did now know what may have sparked the deadly rampage across the small town.

"A crime like this in any community is pretty major," said Sheriff James Sigman of Texas County, Missouri.

After 10 p.m. Thursday, the Texas County Sheriff's Department received a call about gunshots heard in Tyrone, Missouri.

The call was made by a juvenile female who was injured and ran to a neighbor's home after hearing the shots, Kinder said.

Two people were found dead inside the home.

Five more people were found dead and another wounded in three additional houses.

The injured girl was taken to a nearby hospital. It is still unclear if and how the deaths are related.

Joseph Aldridge was found dead in a vehicle in Shannon County from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officials said they are still investigating how the shootings unfolded, including what the motive was.

Authorities identified the victims as Garold Aldridge, 52; Julie Aldridge, 47; Harold Aldridge, 50; and Janelle Aldridge, 48.
