    1. Satin pillowcases that'll zhuzh up mama's bedroom decor by day and help minimize any hair breakage and dryness as she gets her beauty rest by night. Two birds. One stone. Or should I say, two pillowcases, one amazing surprise gift for mom?

    Two pink satin pillowcases.

Promising review: "They are smooth, soft, and have a satin look and feel. The zipper closure seems strong enough. The color is true to the picture. There's no pilling nuisance collecting on them and they fit my king size pillows perfectly. The pillowcases do not hold stains. A soapy cloth or Clorox wipes easily gets rid of stain spots. My dog's hair does not cling to the material. I haven't cleaned them in my washing machine yet but when I do, I'll be sure to add fabric softener to keep them soft. So far, I am very happy with these pillowcases and feel that my little bit of money was well spent." —Durr Adoya

Get them from Amazon for $8.95 (two in a pack; available in 17 colors).

    2. An electric wine-opener to help mom pop bottles in seconds with no real wrist work involved.,

Promising review: "I bought this as a gift for both my mother and stepmother on Mother's Day. They both love it. My mom has arthritis pretty bad in her hands but loves wine. This product saves her hands from having to grip and twist the cork bottle opener. You can have a bottle of wine opened in four seconds with this product. The foil remover is super spiffy too because no more sliding a knife carefully around the edge! Just place over the foil, grip together and twist in one motion. This is a great product and as soon as I'm not broke anymore I'm getting myself one." —Amazon Customer

    Buzzfeed / Natalie Brown

BuzzFeed writer Natalie Brown had this to say about how well these babies work:

"On March 5, I put half of my fresh strawberries in the medium-sized container and left the other half in the clamshell container they came in from the store... 10 days later, the berry I left in the original container was dehydrated and blemished, with wrinkled, crunchy leaves. (I'm not eating the leaves, but still.) But the produce-saver strawb's as fresh as it was on day one! Not that I wouldn't eat the dehydrated one if that was my only option, but given the choice? I'll take a fresh strawberry every day!"

Get it from Amazon for $26.99.

    6. A Chi automatic curling iron – it can give mom ooh-worthy curls in minutes. The barrel is designed to protect your fingers from getting burned so you enjoy an ouchless curling sesh. It also has an auto-shutoff feature and even a feature that pauses the iron if you put too much hair into the chamber to curl at once.

Promising review: "Love it!! I have fine textured hair — very straight hair. I have trouble not only curling it, but keeping it curled. For example, the other day I left rollers in my hair for 45 minutes and got a minor wave that fell out in 10 minutes. This tool is easy and fast to use, adds shine, and the curl stays." —Alexandria

It's sipping time as soon as it hits her wine flute! Reviewers seem especially pleased at how it improves the taste of their cheaper wine selections.

To make this an even better gift, throw in a new set of wine glasses that she can show off in her china cabinet!

Promising review: "I love wine! Cheap wine that tastes good? Even better. This turned a bottle of two-buck chuck into a really nice Chardonnay. So I tried it on a better bottle of wine I usually keep on hand. Wow! I didn't think that $20 wine could get better but it did. Box wine? Improved! Really good bottles? Improved. About two months after I bought it, the tab that locks the two pieces together broke off. I was skeptical that the lifetime guarantee would be honored. I have bought things here before that had lifetime guarantees only to find the company no longer exists. I sent my claim in and they offered to replace it and even expedited it to me for free. Can't say enough about their customer service. Friendly, helpful, and fast." —Hope 979

Get it from Amazon for $15.99 (available in two colors and with a lifetime warranty).

    9. Cuccio Revitalize Cuticle Oil – it'll give off the high-brow shape of an expensive perfume bottle yet will actually help whip the skin around mom's nails into shape and nourish her nails so they grow faster. It's a smart gift for the mom who prides herself on executing at-home manicures.

Promising review: "I don’t write many reviews but have to give credit where it’s due. I NEVER can grow all 10 nails out. Some break, peel, etc., so I might have a few nice ones but until this product, never 10. Now, I have 10 long, strong nails! I’ve used this daily (sometimes multiple times a day) for about a month. I got a manicure yesterday and could finally do the French style due to the length. I also tried one of those 'pens' with nail oil, and while it’s somewhat more convenient to use, the environmental impact of plastic was not worth the convenience of having the oil in the car or having the little brush. This stuff works great, smells great, and comes in glass. FINALLY, a product that does exactly what it claims!" —Never home but still want it nice.

Get it from Amazon for $7.36+ (available in two scents).

    10. L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Original Satin Lipstick to bless the mom who never leaves the house without a little color on her lips. L'Oreal Makeup / Via,

This set of lipsticks has a color for anyone including lots of neutrals, pinks, and reds.

Promising review: "Honestly, I don't usually buy good lipstick. I have a drawerful of junk from the drugstore. All I can say is, what a difference! I am sold on L'Oreal. The color is beautiful and it glides on so smoothly that I am done with buying other cheap lipstick. I even love the fragrance. This is the bomb!" —Victoria G.

Get it from Amazon for $5.82+ (available in 28 colors).

    11. A Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask for the frugal mom who wouldn't dare invest in high-end skincare and still uses her go-to drugstore products. Nothing wrong with drugstore, but mama deserves to enjoy the nicer things too!

Luxury skincare is always a thoughtful gift annnd this ombre packaging is just so pretty. Tatcha is a cruelty-free brand. It is owned by Unilever which isn't cruelty-free.

Promising review: "I have rosacea-prone skin and was nervous this mask would burn when I applied it, but I experienced no burning or any unpleasant feeling on my skin. Instead, my skin felt calm and comfortable for the entire 15 minutes while the mask sat on my face. I rinsed my face twice with cool water and followed with Tatcha Silk Cream. My skin felt extremely smooth, the pores on my nose felt clearer, and dead skin cells were removed — leaving me with clear, soft skin. My makeup applied beautifully after using this mask. Smooth and easy application without any rough spots. I'd probably use this mask in the daytime for the smooth makeup application benefits. I found the results of this mask to be similar to the daily application of Sunday Riley Good Genes serum, but with one application instead of daily use and without the burning I experience with Good Genes. I have combination/sensitive skin." —Jendeg

Get it from Sephora for $68 or from Tatcha for $68.

I come out of my bath feeling soft, so clean, moisturized, smelling gorgeous, and feeling truly pampered. Whether you use it in a tub or shower, it’s equally as enjoyable, and although it seems to be a touch on the expensive side, each one provides about 30 uses. Not too bad, for such a relaxing and indulgent bath or shower that is usually mundane." —Kathleen

BuzzFeed / Taylor Miller / Via, BuzzFeed

Promising review: "This is some kind of miracle cloth, I’m pretty sure. I was tired of using oily eye makeup removers and still having to scrub with makeup wipes to remove it all. This cloth does both and it actually got ALL my eye makeup off. I wasn’t left with that weird dirty-looking rim of old eyeliner. I’m buying one for my sister, my mom, and pretty much anyone I love who wears makeup." —Amazon Customer

    15. A humidifying oil diffuser to give mom's favorite room a soft glow and pleasant fragrance thanks to essential oils (which are sold separately). It has seven light settings and an automatic-off function. The diffuser can last up to four hours with continuous use or for eight hours with intermittent use. By the way, this diffuser also has more than 11,000 five-star reviews.

A plastic white humidifier is lit with an orange light. It's sitting next to a green succulent in a grey ceramic pot.

What's better is that multiple shoppers noted how communicative the seller is! Plenty of reviewers got a perfectly functional diffuser but the few that did need to exchange it for whatever reason shared that the seller was very quick with responding and shipping out a replacement.

Promising review: "I was surprised by how long it runs on such a small amount of water! It has two options for diffusing continuously or intermittently. I have been running it on the continuous mode, mainly because I'm kind of impatient. It also has a light that you can set for just one color or it will alternate between all of them. I am not a fan of strong perfumey smells, so for me, this diffuser is perfect. Last evening, it was on a table in my front room and I would catch a whiff of lavender every few minutes. Perfect! It's good quality for the money!" —Krazk8t

Get them from Amazon: diffuser for $17.99+ (available in three colors) and an essential oils set for $18.97 (available with eight fragrances)

    16. High-fidelity earplugs that'll help minimize the boomin' Zumba classes or church services she goes to but complains about being too loud. They're designed to reduce damaging decibel levels without compromising the quality of the sound so she won't have to dip out early due to uncomfy noise.

a box with the earplugs sitting in them. You also see the case and the four alternate size buds.

The buds are made with a hypoallergenic silicone. They're clear and made with a minimalist design so they'll be nearly visibly undetectable. You'll also get three bud sizes (small, medium, and large).

Promising review: "I got these because I take loud indoor cycling classes about four times a week and started to notice my right ear wasn't happy about it. I love losing myself in loud music so I wanted something that would cut down just enough to where I feel safe without sacrificing my experience much. I've worn them for about a week now and they're great for my purpose. It's taken a bit of adjustment. If I push them too far in, then I find I lose too much of the audio and have a hard time hearing my instructor's cues. If I push them to where they're just barely in my ear, then they're perfect! Even though I'm running and sweating, I've had no issues with them staying put, which was my worry at first. I found that where I angle the tip also makes a difference in how much noise is let in, so keep that in mind and see if it makes a difference for you. I keep these in my bag now and I do go to loud concerts with some frequency, so that will be their next test!" —Maria

Get them from Amazon for $23.98 (available with a portable case).

    17. Dermora 24-karat gold eye masks to help decrease puffiness and dark circles. If your mom is like my mom, then she obsesses over skincare for the eye area and will be elated to try out these golden beauties.,

These eye masks are vegan and cruelty-free.

Promising review: "OK, so I had really low expectations for these. I thought at worst they would reduce some puffiness and feel good under my eyes. They worked so much better than that. I am a mom of two... I don't sleep well as it is and given that I am now 39 and not 16, that shows up in my face, particularly under my eyes lately. Sometimes I have puffiness but what I noticed most was the dark circles. I store these individual packs in the fridge and popped a set on one evening just before bed. I left it on for 20 to 30 minutes and when I took them off? WOW. My eyes looked younger and MUCH less tired. I wish I would have taken a before and after photo. Honestly, I was really surprised. I always try things like this with a hefty dose of speculation and low expectations. This has given me the result that I have been trying for with about 20 different under eye creams I have sitting on my bathroom counter right now. It is so worth a try. At the very least, they feel refreshing under your eyes and on your skin! I know results aren't the same for everyone given genetics, reasons for use, expectations, etc. — but I am going to be sending some to my mom!" —Bamgela

Get them from Amazon for $11.95+ (available in a 15-pack and 20-pack).

Since I spend so much time sitting at a computer desk, my neck and back (and wrists, honestly) are always pretty mad at me by the end of the day. I also realized that having super firm mattresses wasn't helping the matter. When I moved to my new apartment, I vowed that I would hunt for an AFFORDABLE mattress with a plush feel. After comparing mattresses (price, firmness, size, shipping details) on the Wayfair, Walmart, and Amazon websites — I finally settled on the plush 10" full-size mattress. I've been sleeping on it for about five months now and have had a noticeable decrease in back and neck pain. I also sleep so soundly every single night and I fall asleep fairly quickly, too. Get them from Amazon for $11.99.

    22. A light curtain to update mom's room decor with a cool, soft glow and an overall relaxing mood. The curtain is waterproof, has eight light settings controlled by a remote, and can be used indoors or outdoors. Layer the light strings with sheer curtains to add to your room's ambience.

By the way, lots of reviewers noted that these curtains can be difficult to hang up by yourself because the lights get tangled but many shared a hack: Don't untie the long lights from each other until you've already hung up the curtain. Oh yeah, the second part of this gift is to set it up for your mom so it's hanging up when she gets home.

Promising review: "I am so in love with these lights! They were so easy to put up (took me about five minutes). They add such beauty to my room. I am so happy with this purchase." —Amazon Customer

    23. An adjustable bamboo bathtub tray that'll prop up food, drinks, tablets, books, hopes, dreams, and whatever else your mom will need for an untimed soak sesh. Sigh. She won't be getting up for a minute and that's exactly what she deserves, right?

A bamboo tray sitting on top of a bathtub filled with pink water and flowers.

The tray has multiple sections plus a way to prop up a book or tablet for reading.

Promising review: "I was scared it wouldn’t fit as well as it does but this is a must-have for self-care and winding down. It’s strong yet not bulky and the bamboo is high-quality. It also wipes easily to dry it. The tray came with no-slip pieces that worked like a charm to keep it from moving while in use. It's super versatile for use with water, wine, etc. There's plenty of room for bath/spa products to safely stay atop with or without a book, tablet, device, and even a snack." —Mama

    24. A diamond cleaning stick to remove her jewelry and make it twinkle and shine like the day she got it. To make it even better, throw in a pretty piece of jewelry for her!

Promising review: "Trust me. This PAINS me to say this. My wallet is hurting. This $5 stick outperforms my $90 jewelry steamer. Forget the jewelry store cleaning. Do it at home and your rings will look BETTER. I have a morganite band that I seldom wore because the stones are impossible to clean and they're ugly when they're cloudy....well... The morganite now looks good as new." —Jenna

Get it from Amazon for $8.31.

    25. A mug warmer so mom won't have to get up to reheat her cups of coffee, tea, or whatever else she loves to drink.

A mug sitting on top of the Mr. Coffee mug warmer, which looks like a thick coaster. There's also a spoon and a tea bag sitting on an actual coaster right beside it. This warmer is sitting on a desk.

One reviewer even noted that it worked well to warm a scent diffuser!

Promising review: "It's going on a little over a year since I got this coffee warmer and I felt I needed to let everyone know that this is the best coffee warmer I've gotten. I work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and it is on the entire time, five to six days a week. It keeps my tea at just the right temperature — not scalding or room temperature like other warmers I've purchased. The 60-inch cord is long enough to go across my large desk. The hot plate is 3.25 inches in diameter, making it the right size for even my large-bottomed coffee mug. The entire warmer is 5.2" by 8.6", so it's not cumbersome having it sit on my desk. This was a great purchase. I'm glad I got it." —Christin Fern

    26. A Lavinso Foot Exfoliation Mask to help your mom give herself the ultimate at-home pedicure and massage. It'll strip layers and layers of dead skin and calluses from them.

Promising review: "These were amazing! They actually did what they claimed they would. My feet were peeling in five days. Starting on the third day, I made sure to soak them for at least 10 minutes. It took about three to four days for them to stop peeling but the results are amazing. My feet feel so new!" —Nov.Rain

Get it from Amazon for $17.95.

This topical oil has given me relief for nearly six weeks now. I have only had two to three headaches in that time and they were mild. I ordered more already so I have some in my car and at home. Promising review: "Works great. I got it as a Mother's Day gift for my mom since she's always boiling stuff over. It happens especially when family is over. The house is busy and she forgets about it and next thing you know, water is all over and then she has to scrub the stove the next day and well, she's retired and shouldn't have to do that. So I thought I would get this for her and see if it worked. It works and she loves it. No more boiling over the pots. When the family is over, it's always mashed potatoes or pasta so this saves her so much scrubbing the next day. I am glad I got it for her." —Chris W.

Get it from Amazon for $17.97+ (available in three colors).

Several reviewers also use this to organize their medicine cabinet! ALSO, the other part of this gift will be if you install this and organize your mom's spice cabinet yourself.

Promising review: "This is a very neat storage rack! I have bought two already and plan to buy more! One is used above my stove for my spice rack! My husband and I are both short -- around 5’5" -- so this is very convenient for us as we can pull it out and down to look at spices. The other one we used to put medicine in. We are putting these in all the top shelves as it’s so much easier to pull it out and down to find what we are looking for. Plus it organizes well!" —Caressa

    31. An attachable silicone colander so draining things doesn't have to be so... ya' know... draining. It'll attach to your ma's pots, pans, and bowls and transform her colander-ing life FOREVA.

It's dishwasher-safe, FDA-approved, and it'll save you the space those larger sifts usually take up.

Promising reviews: "This is the coolest kitchen gadget I've bought in a long time. No filling the dishwasher with huge colanders. You snap this on your cooking pot and drain. Then, after a quick wash in the sink and you're done. It holds securely and I've only lost a few noodles over the top edge when the pan was too small for what I was making. I made angel hair pasta fully expecting it to go all through the holes like a regular colander and they didn't even poke through let alone come out!" —Holly B. Nash

Get it from Amazon for $14.99+ (available in four colors).

    32. Magic Eraser Sponges — I gifted these to my mom and she fell in INSTANT love with them. She's the type of mom who actually enjoys cleaning so this was the perfect "just because" gift to bring to her house. She immediately started using them on her doors and walls and was super wowed at how well they worked.

There's no point in putting cute stuff on your walls if they're going to be offset by dirty stains, right?

Promising review: "Hey! Did I tell you Mr. Clean and his Magic sponges changed my life?! I live in an apartment that very quickly gets gross and grubby due to oldness and I use these suckers on *everything*. I don't recommend using them on matte walls but I do anyway, to erase scuffs. I use them on my kitchen floor which is disgusting thanks to the '60s floor tiles that are peeling off the floor, and my Siamese cat who eats his wet food while standing on his plate and then walks around leaving little paw prints of grossness. I use the sponges to clean everything in my bathroom and kitchen. There's nothing more satisfying than wiping your stove with a damp Mr. Clean, turning it over, and seeing the tint of filth. Even if you think you have an immaculate kitchen, (and your friends say, "OMG, your house! It's so clean! I wish my house was so immaculate!" when they visit.) Mr. Clean will prove to you otherwise." —Customer Review
