Amazon Fresh May Make You Never Want To Stand In IRL Grocery Store Lines Again
It'll probably be the two-hour free delivery window for you. ππ€ΈπΏββοΈπ

I won't say I hate grocery shopping but I really, really prefer not to do it. If the long lines don't get me, then it'll usually be the sudden desire to buy everything in the food section because I forgot to eat before I arrived, thus shopping with my stomach and not my budget.
But mostly, it's the long lines. π
One morning, I woke up and knew that by lunch, I'd just be eating my thoughts if I didn't get to the store. But I also had a work deadline so... I caved and decided to browse the aisles of Amazon Fresh β free with a Prime membership β via my phone to put in at least an order big enough to get me through lunch and dinner for the day.
I hadn't checked out Amazon Fresh in a minute and expected to make do with a small food selection for the day. I was pleasantly surprised that the offerings are PLENTIFUL.
Instead of completing my order with a handful of get-me-by items, I ended up buying enough groceries for a full two weeks. And I got free delivery within a two-hour window since my order was $35+! Everything was delivered in these super eco-friendly paper bags.
Delivery was 100% contactless. The Amazon Fresh delivery person placed my bags neatly at my door, rang my bell, and then walked down the hall wayyy beyond 6 feet away to wait and make sure I had heard the bell. When I opened my door, they waved and thanked me for my business, and headed out. The experience was super seamless and pleasant.
Of course, the real verdict wasn't determined until I opened the bags and surveyed their contents...
This is only SOME of my groceries since my counter space is pretty minimal. Gotta love New York apartments.
My baby spinach was perfect. I at least expected a couple of brown leaves or some withered ones but no... All beautiful green things and I was all smiles.
My bananas were the perfect yellow/green ombre situation for my preferences. And my mini watermelon (which I'd never had before but was inspired to buy because it was just on there, LOL) was flawless.

Coffee and creamer? Check! Plus, my creamer was wrapped so it was still cold when I opened it up. πβοΈ
Lemon? Carrots? Stir fry meat? Yes. Yep. For sure. And more! And all of it was FRESH. Pun definitely intended and well-earned.
And even if I hated my produce, Amazon has a Freshness Guarantee so I could receive a refund or replacement.
It felt good to get my grocery shopping done and still have the energy to also cook on the same day. LOL, that's usually not how it goes down at my house. Here are the beginnings of my stir-fry:
TBH, I ate it way too fast to take a picture of the final product. Word to Amazon Fresh having fresh ingredients that taste THAT dang good.
Amazon Fresh also has VERY dope household and personal item sections which is what pretty much solidified that I'll rarely walk into IRL grocery stores ever again. I was able to order cotton swabs, glass cleaner, and hand soap.
This was especially great with the handwash since the Method brand plays nice with my sensitive skin. For that buy AND the Windex, I just re-upped on what I was already running low on in the house so I wouldn't ever run out. To say that I was happy was an understatement.
Get the Windex glass cleaner for $2.97, the Q-tips for $2.69, and the Method hand soap for $2.99.
And although I haven't tried everything yet, I am STOKED about the grooming and hygiene products available. Something sits *very* right in my spirit about hitting the bottom of the deodorant stick and being able to get a new one at my door within two hours.
Or makeup wipes. Or moisturizer. Or mascara. Whew.
It's the two-hour free delivery window, the CeraVe products, and the allergy medicine for me π. Oh, and the $4.99 one-hour delivery if I'm extra, extra pressed for time.
Pro-tip: Place your order in the morning. The longer you wait to do it, the fewer time slots you have to choose from. Luckily, Amazon Fresh will deliver until 11 in the evening. That'll be great for anyone who wants to order groceries while they're away from home and choose a time slot when they know they'll actually be around. You'll also have an "unattended delivery" option if you want your groceries to be dropped off without you being home.
As a person who's always dreaded grocery store shopping, I have no idea why I didn't try Amazon Fresh much sooner. But behold, here I am waving goodbye forever to regular IRL grocery store shopping.
*brb gotta go answer the door for my Amazon Fresh delivery* π
