Response to The 17 Best Movie Soundtracks Of 2013:
How can you mention The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug but not M83’s masterpiece for Oblivion? Howard Shore did he’s weakest soundtrack in ages, much below the quality of previous installment in the The Hobbit-series. “I see fire” was absolutely great, but otherwise, nothing stood out. M83 on the other hand made the best score for a film since Daft Punk lazerguided us through Tron Legacy, three years ago.
Weird that Lord of the Rings extended box isn’t on the list with it’s 681 minutes of epicness. After all, it’s really just one long movie cut in three.
