These "Refugees Lives Matter" Activists Were Caught Silently Protesting The PM

"It's fallen off the agenda and why?"

The Prime Minister visited the Australian Catholic University on Thursday where he met with little kids who were (quite ominously) enjoying a playground game of "Rats and Rabbits".

Turnbull, who is being attacked by cabinet leaks and Tony Abbott, witnessed the kids play the rats and rabbits game as journalists sniggering in the background.

"Whether you're a rat or a rabbit.... you've done very well," said the PM.

Then it was time for a press conference. But wait. As the PM started speaking some staff from the Catholic university started blu-tacking signs around the windows.

The signs read "REFUGEES LIVES MATTER" and were positioned perfectly for the professional photographers to get these artistic shots.

When security noticed what was happening, several of the signs were quite dramatically ripped from the windows.

BuzzFeed News spoke to one staff member who said the silent act of protest was out of frustration for the current status quo on refugee policy.

"What's happened to the news about the 257 asylum seekers and the babies?" asked the woman who asked to not be named.

"It's fallen off the agenda and why? The government and the opposition are united and it's just sad."
