Andrew Bolt Just Called Senator Jacqui Lambie "Bigoted" And "Un-Australian"

And then we all jumped the bigot shark.

Conservative commentator Andrew Bolt has launched a rant at Senator Jacqui Lambie, saying her recent comments about Islam were too "bigoted" and "un-Australian".

Bolt — who has been taken to court for breaching the Racial Discrimination Act and campaigned for reckless free speech — launched the un-ironic rant on Sunday's Bolt Report.

The full passage includes a sincere call for Australians to be more accepting of some Muslims.

Sure Islam needs reform. Sure Islamist terrorism is a real threat. But let us not forget the best of Australia. Being open to whatever people of colour or faith. Being open to people who share a love of this country and want to be part of it, part of us. We cannot be as un-Australian, as bigoted as Palmer United Senator Jacqui Lambie.

Bolt thinks Senator Lambie was being "bigoted" when she refused to accept an invitation to a mosque open day because it was against her "moral upbringing".

UPDATE 1930 AEST: Senator Lambie responded to the "bigoted" sledge.

Bolt. You feel free mate to go to a place to pray were women are segregated and treated like second class citizens. Pot calling kettle.
