The Kardashians Will Not Be Having Any More Parties During the Pandemic In 2020
"COVID better be gone by next Christmas."
After Kim Kardashian's private island birthday party and Kendall Jenner's massive Halloween and birthday party, the Kardashians have shared that they're "taking this pandemic seriously." Khloé Kardashian delivered that update while announcing that the Kardashians' annual Christmas party has been canceled.

Less than a month ago, Khloé said that the family would still be "definitely celebrating Christmas" with a "way smaller" event that would potentially include "rapid testing before" — but that has apparently changed.
@rodashian I pray not! I think it will have to be way smaller obviously. And I’m totally fine with that! But we’re definitely celebrating Christmas! It will just have to be small and safe. Maybe do rapid testing before 😳 We have to think of what is safest
Now, today, Khloé revealed to a fan that the Kardashians decided not to do "a Christmas Eve party this year," for "the first time...since 1978," because "the Covid cases are getting out of control in CA."
@Aussie_Kardash The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year. It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978 🥺I believe. Health and safety first though! Taking this pandemic seriously is a must
Nearly 20,000 Californians have died from COVID-19, and hospitalizations in the state are climbing due in part to recent gatherings for Thanksgiving.
It's worth noting that cases were also surging in October when Kendall Jenner held her birthday and Halloween party that brought together over 100 people with no masks or social distancing.

Matriarch Kris Jenner later defended the party against backlash, saying, "At Kendall's, everyone got [rapid] tested before they walked in the door. ... So we are really responsible and we make sure that everyone in our family and our closest friends are tested religiously. ... We do what we can, we, we try to follow the rules. And then if people are, you know, they're commenting and they're being critical, I can't control that."
Khloé also shared that the nearly annual Kardashian-Jenner holiday card — which didn't take place last year since they reportedly "could not really agree" on the theme and scheduling — will also be canceled this year.
@rodashian We have not done anything. No Christmas photos and no Christmas Eve party this year. Covid has taken over
Khloé is hoping that they'll be able to resume their parties next year, though: "Next year, our Christmas Eve party is going to be so fucking fire!" she tweeted. "Covid better be gone by next Christmas."
@Khlocaine_ I am so over 2020! (Says everyone) Next year, our Christmas Eve party is going to be so fucking fire! Covid better be gone by next Christmas
"Stay safe! Stay healthy! Remember to be kind to others," Khloé signed off.
OK you guys I need to start on winding. I have an early day tomorrow. I love you guys so much! We will chat this coming week for sure! Stay safe! Stay healthy! Remember to be kind to others ♥️
The holidays are definitely going to look a lot different this year, but canceling plans and spending time only with people who live under the same roof is going to save countless lives.
