It's been about three years since Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were first romantically linked together. (Shoutout to the Kings of Leon concert that may have served as their first date.) But, judging by how few pics of the couple there are — and how little they talk about one another in the media — their relationship feels much newer.
That's why when Joe was recently asked about dating Taylor, and actually responded, it was so notable.
As for how he feels about Swift drawing inspiration from their relationship in her songs, he told The Times "it's flattering."
He also shared that he mostly ignores everyone's fixation on their relationship, saying, "I just don’t pay attention to what I don’t want to pay attention to. I turn everything else down on a dial. I don’t have any interest in tabloids. I know what I want to do, and that’s this, and that’s what I am doing.”
One report that he didn't resist debunking though is that Taylor can fly to see him whenever on a private plane. "99.9 percent of what the press writes about [us] is false," he said.
