Sleeves Are The New Dress Trains According To Everyone On The Emmys Red Carpet

Who needs to go to the bathroom when you look this good?

Goodbye dress trains, hello sleeve trains. The biggest red carpet — well, purple carpet — trend at the 2019 Emmys was very hands-on.

Steven shut down the purple carpet in a sequined Viktor Luna look that had the longest sleeves you've ever seen.

Patricia Clarkson, who was nominated for an Emmy for her role in HBO's Sharp Objects, wore a miniature version of the look — which seems a lot easier to go to the bathroom in.

Susan Kelechi Watson of This Is Us also opted for nearly floor-length sleeves.

And Our Lady J, who is a writer for Pose, wore actual floor-length sleeves courtesy of Christian Siriano.

There were plenty of other ~memorable~ sleeve moments — like Dascha Polanco's pink voluminous sleeves.

Laverne Cox's one-sleeve dress by Monsoori looked kind of like she was wearing a hat on her shoulder.

Meanwhile Mandy Moore let pink taffeta drape across her arms in this old Hollywood moment from Brandon Maxwell.

Zoe Kazan took the look one step further with pleated silk that looked like ribbon.
