Indie Musician Pranks Starbucks To Become Song Of The Week

When I first watched this I thought "What about the people who were legitimately the song of the week?" So I asked Gavin Slate, a Toronto Indie Musician who decided to take marketing for his song to a new level by printing off his own "Starbucks Song of the Week" cards and distributed them across Starbucks in his hometown of Toronto. Gavin mentioned he was often topping up empty boxes or put his card next to the phone app that was featured that week. So far, he's gotten close to 200 downloads for his song "Life of a Salesman" In all, we thought that it was sneakily clever idea for a song that's pretty good. Sometimes you got think outside the box to make something good happen! Right?

"Jeff Who Lives At Home" + Flula Borg's Sequel = Most Amazing Celebrity Interview Ever

YouTube celebrity, Flula Borg, does what he does best - be ridiculously likeable. Somehow he was invited to interview the actors from the film "Jeff Who Lives At Home" and he went for it with gusto - writing the best sequel to the film that could possibly be created. Adorable because Susan Sarandon, Jason Segal, Ed Helms and Judy Greer all play along and make it amazing. Flula Borg is a total favourite. After appearing on Nat&Marie he's been going full force with live videos and more. He's probably the coolest German on the Internet.

Concrete buffer goes out of control. The narration is what makes the video for me "$50 and a free lunch to the first guy who stops it". Ha. Thanks @NateKogan!

Two High School Students' Haunting Cover of Neko Case's "Star Witness" is a YouTube Hit That May Save School

Hours after the video was posted on YouTube, Neko Case tweeted, "Wow. That just made me bawl my eyes out. What beautiful singers. I'm not worthy... Holy god.". When news of the upcoming closure of their former high school (Peterborough Collegiate Vocational School in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada) the recent grads, Kate MacDonald and Janelle Blanchard, took to YouTube. The video was recorded in November on the school's stairwell and is a ridiculously haunting cover of Neko Case's "Star Witness". Totally worth a view, just be sure to have some tissues near by - total tear jerker.
