If you've clicked through to this post, you're at least a little bit curious about everyone's current favourite skincare brand, The Ordinary.

Here's the lowdown: Completely cruelty free, mostly vegan and based on scientific research, The Ordinary promises potent skincare solutions at affordable prices.

But why take them at their word? Here are six The Ordinary products that BuzzFeeders have given a go themselves (and swear you'll love):

    1. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2 + B5 — which promisees to hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, for a plumper, more youthful complexion.

    Catherine Scro / BuzzFeed

Made from pure vegan hyaluronic acid, it is alcohol, oil, silicone, nut and fragrance free.

Promising Review: "I was told that hyaluronic acid was a must-have in my beauty regime to help my skin hold moisture. After researching different brands, I found The Ordinary to be highly rated and I have to say, I absolutely love it! My skin feels supple after applying it and while it's a little sticky at first, it dries up into the skin, quickly leaving it feeling fresh and full of moisture. It's such good value for money, too!"

Buy it from Amazon Australia for $30.

    2. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% — a high-strength vitamin solution that will visibly minimise pores.

    Zeta Morgan / BuzzFeed

This particular product promises to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion, thanks to a high concentration of vitamin B3.

Promising review: "This is a recent addition to my skincare routine, but one I am obsessed with and will be keeping around for years to come. This formula is super affordable (like the whole The Ordinary range) and is really easy to incorporate into your daily regime. I have noticed a visible difference in the pores on my face and how clear and balanced my skin is. If you have been wanting to try The Ordinary but don’t know what to buy first, would highly recommend giving this a whirl."

Buy it from Amazon Australia for $11.44.

    3. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG — perfect for reducing puffiness and the appearance of dark circles under sleep-deprived eyes.

    Jamé Jackson / BuzzFeed

The high concentration of caffeine — 5%! — and green tea leave extract, makes this solution an ideal fix for tired eyes.

Promising review: "It's a somewhat thick, gel-like consistency that I just dab under both of my eyes and within minutes, the puffiness is gone. I’ve even put it on my forehead or my cheeks — anywhere I need an instant lift. Within minutes, the caffeine particles in the solution have de-puffed my skin and my eyes look amazing, ready for me to go in with the rest of my skin care and makeup.

In my opinion, the best part really is the fact that a little goes a long way — I can change how much I use based upon how severe my puffiness is. And I love the product so much, I’ll use it morning and night before heading out the door for a night out with the girls (or even just staying in and sleeping). Added bonus: If you have sensitive skin like me, this product won’t give you any problems."

Buy it from Adore Beauty for $12.70.

    4. The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane — for those who take the advice of fighting ageing signs before they appear, to heart.

    Julia Willing / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "If you've heard of retinol, but still have no idea what the hell it is, I'm here to help. In your teens and twenties, your skin cells turn over roughly every 28 days, revealing a fresh layer of gorgeous skin. But into your thirties and beyond, this turnover rate decreases — which can make the skin look dull and increase the appearance of wrinkles.

Enter retinol, which sinks into your skin and helps hasten the cell turnover — making your body churn out younger, smoother skin again. Good for acne-fighting and anti-ageing, this powerhouse ingredient comes in a variety of forms, but I love to use it as a post-cleansing oil with The Ordinary's 2% Granactive Retnoid In Squalane.

And trust me when I say, it really works. I ran out of this recently, so didn't use it for about a fortnight and I immediately noticed the difference. My skin flipped out — it was greasy, dull and I had breakouts all over my face. Three days back into my regular routine and it's already cleared up so much. Seriously, give it a go, I promise you won't regret it."

    5. The Ordinary Mineral UV Filters SPF 30 with Antioxidants — because we all know to incorporate sunscreen into our skincare by now, so get one that will multi-task for you.

    Farrah Penn

This sunscreen not only offers SPF protection, but offers hydration and anti-irritant support.

Promising review: "Speaking of sunscreen, this product is something I recently added to my routine. The first time I used it, I noticed that this stuff is THICK. You do not need a lot. I'm talking, like, half a pea sized. I started mixing it in with my regular face lotion in order to have a smoother application. It doesn't have that ~sun screen-y~ smell and doesn't make your face look oily. And it hasn't made me break out!"

    Farrah Penn

Buy it from ASOS for $18.

    6. And finally, The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution — a 10 minute exfoliating facial, which will revitalise and tone dull skin.

    Jame Jackson / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "Much to my delight, my pores appeared significantly smaller and brighter, and my skin felt as smooth as a newborn baby's booty. In addition, the peel almost immediately handled the amount of shine I was experiencing throughout the day. That's because it has salicylic acid in it, a BHA commonly used to treat acne-prone skin. Now I'm able to go almost all day without blotting my face, and I have yet to have an acne breakout."

    Jame Jackson

This wildly popular solution (almost 2,500 five-star reviews!) is near impossible to get anywhere anymore, but we found a few floating around on Amazon, albeit at a higher price point.

Buy it from Amazon Australia now for $44.69.
