    A Sexy Two-In-One Laptop That Will Have You Rethinking Your Mac

    In contention for the least shitty thing to come out of the pandemic is surely the move to hybrid (or even fully remote!) working environments.

    Work all day in my pyjamas and never get called out for it? Why, yes, I don’t mind that at all.  

    It’s no secret there are some of us who are taking the remote working thing to the extreme (multi-day road trips, anyone?), so naturally, we need a device that can do it all without the need to transport a laptop, monitor, tablet and, in some instances, even an internet connection.

    I recently took this newfound freedom to the middle of Australia (note to my editor: sorry!) and needed such a device. Enter the brand-spanking-new HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop.

    I took this bad boy out for a spin on the famed four-hour Kings Canyon rim walk (which, I gotta tell you, I am not nearly as fit for as I thought).

    Obscenely beautiful scenery, if you can hack the 400 step(!) ascent to get to the canyon's rim. Not an internet connection in sight, though.

    So because I love a four-hour hike and keeping my job, this all-in-one-device came handy when catching my breath and keeping up with work.

    Fellow creatives, you know how long big video files and image transfers can take — well, the HP Envy has a handy file-sharing hack, HP QuickDrop, that makes it happen in an instant. 

    (You can tell just how sweaty I was from the fingerprints...).

    Between the HP QuickDrop, the flexibility of the laptop and its 4K OLED display (see everything you're doing, even with the harsh Aussie sun on its best form), I could smash content out and continue on my hike without fear of falling behind on work.

    Though, going to be honest, I did fall behind everyone else on the hike — dehydration is no joke.

    As much as I would like, I'm not always working from the most beautiful parts of Australia. So I'm pleased to report the HP Envy is as brilliant from a desk setup as the wild.

    The AI-powered reduction of background is next level. You could be blasting Cardi B during morning WIPs, and your manager would never know. And speaking of audio, we're talking next-gen Bang & Olufsen sound (i.e. only the best).

    But don't just take my word for it. As one rapt customer said: "Performance is way above average, extremely fast. Screen is very good and fast. Body is slim, handsome and sturdy. So more than you would expect at this price or even higher."
