This Ingenious Wrapping Trick Will Make Secret Santa Even Easier

1. Start by tracing this shape 8 to 12 times on thick cardstock.

If you want to use three colors, do this 9 or 12 times. If you are fine with two, use 8 or 10. Feeling really ambitious? Trace 8 or 12 for a pattern of 4 colors.

2. Cut out your pieces.

Be careful to cut even nicks around the circles so that they hook tightly.

3. Link the ends of one side together in a circle.

Take a minute to space them out evenly so that they match up when you build the opposing swirl.

Lay it down and watch it SWIRL.

4. Flip the whole thing over and connect the other ends together.

To get the top started, connect the first and third arms, then put in the second. If this is confusing, just follow the GIF. That's what we made it for, fool.

After that, just add in all the other arms in order, the same way you connected them for the bottom of the box.

5. Gently spread two strips to sneak little gifts in there. Get creative! Stuff it with chocolates, alcohol nips, or a pair of earrings.
