The Things You Will Go Through When Starting A YouTube Channel

It's something all YouTubers go through, especially the newer ones. Don't give up though!

As we know, YouTube is the most popular video sharing and streaming site on the internet. It lets people create, share, review, and learn new and creative things everyday! I have learned a vast list of things from winging my eyeliner perfectly to learning how to use photoshop, it is just an amazing website with amazing people.

Now think of all the videos and the people creating content everyday (i.e. this post for example). How does someone come up with an original idea? something comedic? a viral hit? It's not as easy as people assume when they click the play button and watch their favorite YouTuber.

What do I talk about? What do I do? Where do I look? What is my channel even about? How do I work this thing?

It's aggravating, confusing, and weird talking into a camera for the first time. It can take hours before you finally start filming because you don't have an idea or you keep second guessing yourself. If that isn't the problem, then you sit there starting over so many times because you keep stuttering or every other word is "um".

If you are a film student, computer specialist, or just love technology so much you learned everyone about it then you are part of the lucky ones. The first problem you will run into is finding an editing software that doesn't cost more then $100, so like most you just end up using Microsoft Editor or iMovie.

After you have your editor and your video within it then you can just jump right in! Wrong! YouTube tutorials and google searches (and Advil, alcohol, tissues) will become your best friends in this time of struggle, but it's worth the pain once you learn.
