5 Things Every Adult Should Do

Title is self-explanatory, duh. Seriously, you should consider doing these, and don't wait to do them either.

1. Bingewatch an entire TV series

No seriously, you should. There are great television series out there, and you should watch as many as you can. Focus on that one show, and nothing else. My favorite time to watch entire series is during the summer, or during that slim window right before Christmas and afterwards. Some shows to consider: Seinfeld, Friends, How I met Your Mother, Lost, 24, The Wire, and Doctor Who. Ask your friends for suggestions.

2. Go off the Grid

Turn off the phone, pager, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and see how much of a difference it makes. I do this about once a year to refresh my brain. I don't announce it, I just sort of disappear. It really helps you focus on things you should focus on.

3. Like Bilbo, go on an adventure

Before you roll your eyes and whisper "Bitch I don't have any money," know that you can go on an adventure in your state (or country). There are hundreds of things to do in every state that cost little to no money. If you plan it right, you can do multiple things without spending more than $100. Things you normally wouldn't do. Be adventurous. Be brave.

4. Step out of your comfort zone

Admittedly, I went to a New Kids on the Block concert a few years ago. Yes as an adult. It was surprisingly fun. It was so far out of my comfort zone that it took me a while to get back to normal. Point is, I am better for going.

5. Face one of your fears

Things I'm afraid of:

1. snakes (held one recently, just shuddered thinking about it.

2. heights - Want to go skydiving though.

3. Really tall people that run like giraffes.

Face one of your fears, because you never know if you are missing out on something great.
