Three Winter Wellness Breakfasts

Winter mornings are all the more sweet, with these three breakfasts — made with Manuka Health Manuka honey.

Manuka Honey Buzz Bowl

1 cup frozen mango

1 tbsp Manuka Health Manuka Honey MGO 263

1 inch turmeric (or 1 tsp dried turmeric powder)

To garnish:

1 banana, sliced

½ cup mango, diced

½ passionfruit

1 tsp Manuka Health Manuka Honey MGO 263

1 tbsp white chia seed

½ cup granola

STEP 1: Add frozen banana, frozen mango, Manuka honey, turmeric and coconut milk to a blender, then pulse on high until the mixture comes together. It should be thick and smooth.

STEP 2: Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with banana, mango, passionfruit, Manuka honey, white chia seed, and granola.

STEP 3: Enjoy!

Spiced Manuka Honey Porridge

1 tbsp Manuka Health Manuka Honey MGO 115

1 cup oats

2 cups almond milk

1 orange, zested and juiced

½ tsp cinnamon

4 cardamom pods

1 fig

1 tbsp buckinis

1 tbsp almond flakes

3 tbsp water

½ cup frozen blueberries

1 tbsp Manuka Health Manuka honey MGO 115

STEP 1: Place a saucepan on medium heat, then add almond milk, Manuka honey, orange zest and juice, cinnamon and cardamom pods. Once the milk starts to simmer, add oats in and stir quickly. Cook for five minutes until thick, stirring occasionally to help it from sticking to the pan. Adjust milk to your preferred consistency.

STEP 2: To make the syrup, place a small saucepan on medium heat and add water, frozen blueberries and Manuka honey. Using a wooden spoon, stir the blueberries and firm press on them so they release their juices. The mixture should turn purple and thicken up after 4-5 minutes.

STEP 3: To serve, divide the porridge between two bowls, then top with buckinis, almond flakes, a fig and a spoonful of blueberry syrup.

STEP 4: Enjoy!

Golden Manuka Honey Tonic

2 cups water

1 inch turmeric (or 1 tsp dried turmeric powder)

1 inch ginger

1 lemon, juiced

1 tbsp Manuka Health Manuka Honey MGO 263

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

4 sprigs thyme

STEP 1: Finely dice turmeric and ginger, then add to a saucepan with water, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar.

STEP 2: Stir the mixture and, once it reaches a rapid boil, lower to a simmer for 5 minutes.

STEP 3: Take the pan off the heat then add manuka honey. Strain the mixture through a sieve, then pour into a teapot with the sprigs of thyme.

STEP 4: Serve straight up or dilute with hot water to your preference.

STEP 5: Enjoy!
