A cactus scratching post, snout soother, window hammock, and 33 other pet products our readers (and their pets) adore.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A portable dog paw washer that'll keep your pup from tracking mud throughout the house post-walk when your pug found his way into every SINGLE puddle you walked past.,

Promising review: "Best. Thing. Ever. This product works like a charm. It gets the sand from between their pads, and is gentle enough that even my most stubborn pup tolerates it! I have a terrier/schnauzer that likes to dig, a mini golden doodle that is prissy about her paws, and a standard labradoodle puppy that is still very fuzzy. We have a farm where it is extremely sandy and we stay in a travel trailer. The amount of sand they were tracking into the camper was driving me WILD. It takes me three minutes to clean and dry off all of their paws. Seriously the best purchase I have made!" —Rachel

Get it from Amazon for $8.93+ (available in three sizes and six colors).

    2. A cactus cat scratching post so darn cute your grumpy cat just might be sliiiightly less ~prickly~ once this is in your place.

An image of a cat playing with a cactus cat scratching post

Promising review: "I'm happy I got this scratching post. I needed a scratching post that my big orange cat won’t pull over when he uses it. Not only is the tall cactus a good size for him, but the base is wide (and heavy) enough that it stays standing when he uses it. Putting the pieces together was easy. It only took a few minutes. And moments after I put the cactus together, my tortie (who loves scratching posts) immediately started using it. As a bonus — while most scratching posts are ugly, this one is not. I wish more cat furniture was this cute and not embarrassing to have out on display in my house." –jenmb

Get it from Chewy for $54.96.

    3. A snout soother stick for giving your dog's dry, crusty nose the relief it doggone deserves! It's not easy work sniffing around for the *perfect* stick to carry home, after all.

On the left, a dog with a chapped nose, and on the right, the same dog, with their nose clear of the crusting/chapping

This snout soother is organic, vegan, and made with all-natural ingredients!

Promising review: "Well, I have never before been so shocked at the effectiveness of a product. Our 5-year-old Frenchie, Carol, had a nose that was so crusty, it was sprouting these long strands of more crust. There was literally crust on crust on crust. The nose had strings of crust. This nose was so crusty and repulsive, it was almost beautiful. Her nose might have resembled the rarest, most exotic geode to be mined from the rarest mine in Guatemala. A friend recommended this snout soother for Carol's repulsive nose. I was worried she would just lick it all off and it wouldn't work. We never imagined she could have a regular, soft, moist nose again. Honestly, this product magic stuff! Unbelievable results in three to five days." —Brittany

    4. A super strong plush duck sure to survive your enthusiastic chewer's chompers better than any toy you've owned before. We're not ducking around – this thing is TOUGH.

    Dog holding duck toy

One of my colleagues got this for her dog and says it's practically indestructible and some of the best money she's ever spent.

Promising review: "My Mini Aussie loves to find the weakest spot of a stuffed toy. Once he does, he then meticulously pulls out all of the stuffing inside, while making sure to leave the tiniest hole possible. We typically avoid stuffed toys all together to avoid the mess, but I saw all the good reviews for Duckworth and decided to roll the dice! My husband laughed out loud when I pulled this out of the package, and made a bet with me that it wouldn't last the weekend. I'm happy to report that it has been two solid weeks and Duckworth is still with us! Not only is he alive (fully intact too) but our Aussie LOVES him! Sure, he plays rough with him from time to time, but he also snuggles him and carries him around everywhere. It's like his baby. I'm sure Duckworth will eventually meet his demise, but we're just happy he's survived two full weeks. :)" —Whitney

Get it from Amazon for $4.79+ (available in three styles).

    5. A handheld fur vacuum so stinkin' powerful you're gonna forget what lint rollers even are. The thought of a vacuum that actually works during shedding season makes me furiously happy.

My BuzzFeed coworker wrote a review that goes into detail about how great this powerful handheld pet-hair vacuum really is.

Promising review: "Holy crap!! Are you skeptical when it comes to buying stuff online? ME TOO! That's why I figured all of these rave reviews were a crock of crap. I've seriously bought every kind of vacuum out there, but I have four cats and a Golden Retriever, so I was getting desperate! I believe the saying is…a picture is worth a thousand words. Check mine out! Of note — the 'before' picture (above, top right) of my dog's bed was AFTER it went through the washer and dryer. Look at all of that left behind hair!!! And the 'after' picture (above, bottom right) was taken after only THREE MINUTES spent vacuuming her bed. I. Am. SOLD! BTW, I've NEVER taken the time to review a product before, just FYI." —Luka Chan

Get it from Amazon for $36.99 (available with or without a filter).

    6. A dishwasher-safe raised cat food bowl that'll give your cat proper posture while eating, which is waaay easier on their digestive system.

a grey striped cat eating out of a light grey raised food bowl

Promising review: "I ended up ordering four bowls total as I have four cats. The bowls work perfectly for breakfast and dinner wet food. They wash easy and the cats no longer have to strain to eat from the dish on the floor." –Darkastlec7

Get them from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in two colors and with or without mats).

    7. A collapsable cat bed sure to be loved by your cat through all of his moods, whether he wants his bed open to keep track of everything going on around him *or* would prefer being tucked away from all your human nonsense.

    Cat Person

Get it from Cat Person for $80 (available in three colors).

    8. Or an elevated cat bed that'll give Frisky the ~raise~ she deserves after all the hard work she does around the house. She knows what she's worth, even if she's always caught napping on the job.

An image of a cat inside an elevated cat bad

Promising review: "All three of our cats love this bed. Two are far more interested in it than the other and both are longhairs. We have more than enough cat furniture, but I purchased this because I thought the materials would be kinder to the longhairs’ fur. Carpeted cat trees tend to mat their fur. This bed does not, as the materials are soft and smooth. This little bed is well-made, sturdy, and the cushion is machine washable in cold water, air dry. I would purchase this again, as it is a quality product."FoldMom

Get it from Chewy for $34.99.

    9. A lawn repair formula made from mulch, seed, and soil amendments to help reverse the TBH impressive amount of damage your pets have bestowed upon your lawn.

A reviewer's patchy lawn before using the product / A reviewer's lush lawn after using the product

Promising review: "I have lacrosse players and dogs and this stuff is amazing. My yard looked like an abandoned lot before this and it literally 'grew anywhere' just like it said. The bag I planted last year actually came back strong this year so I put more down and it is working like a dream!" —chchmom

Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in five sizes and four styles).

    10. A pair of pet grooming glove for pet parents who want their lovable mutt looking like a show dog worthy of Westminster with just a brush of their hand.

A pair of the gloves with a thick coat of fur being pulled from them. The gloves are soft on top and have plastic bumps to pull loose hair while petting.

Promising review: "These gloves work wonders for my long-haired German Shepherd puppy. My puppy is 11 months old and sheds like crazy. These gloves are perfect because my puppy does not like being brushed by rough brushes and tries to bite them. With the gloves she doesn't care as much." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $13.99 (available in two colors).

    11. A pack of matatabi chew sticks – matatabi is a plant native to Japan and a catnip alternative, which is gonna be great if you've spent your savings on catnip treasures your cat couldn't care less about. The best part? The solid stick design helps keep their teeth clean.

    MeowyJanes / Etsy

MeowyJanes is a wonderfully named small business based in New Egypt, New Jersey. It specializes in catnip and catnip alternatives.

Promising review: "The second I put a stick down our kitty was obsessed! Our cat loves 'chewing' so these are a great fit for him. All natural, great packaging, and quick shipping! Thank you." —kr323

Get it from MeowyJanes on Etsy for $10.61.

    12. A cleanup kit complete with a rake, handled container, and waste bags that'll make cleaning up after your beloved dog easier on your back...and your gag reflex.

Person using the scooper covered in a bag and the rake

You can grab more swivel bin bags when you run out!

Promising review: "Oh my gosh. I can't believe I waited so long to buy one of these. I just wasn't sure how necessary it was but here is what I love; it seems very sturdy (I've been able to do the job every four to five days with only the one fill-up and with a 60+lb pup, that still gets a tad heavy). My favorite thing about this scooper is how I can attach regular grocery store bags to the little slots on the outside. Keeps the whole process neat and tidy and I don't have to buy any kind of special bag to make that happen. Unless this whole contraption were metal, I don't see how it could be improved. And in that case I would expect to pay quite a bit more, so I'm very happy with it as is." —Squirrel717

Get it from Amazon for $16.92.

    13. A durable, floating Chuckit! Ultra Ball so you can play endless games of fetch with Fido, without covering your hands in the gunk from slimy tennis balls.

Promising review: "Well, this is the ONLY toy that our dog LOVES. The Chuckit! Ultra is her obsession. She has them strategically hidden around the house for quick/easy access, she follows us around with one, she sometimes even brings one to bed with her. Squeaky toys are...well...FINE to her in a pinch, but really, nothing in her world compares with this ball. She is a 50-lb Springer Spaniel and has only managed to 'crack' one of these balls in 2+ years, and she chews on them almost like a pacifier—she'll just sit there and chomp chomp chomp on it. She prefers the medium size, but we have a large size Ultra and she enjoys that, too. They are easy to throw (with or without the Chuckit! stick), they bounce great, they FLOAT, they are super easy to wash off (that alone is worth the five stars for anyone out there who has tried to wash off a tennis ball) and they are really durable." —P. Hanson

Get it from Amazon for $5.99+ (available in sizes S–XXL, individually or as a pair).

    14. A pack of catnip-infused felt balls sure to satisfy your catnip-crazed kitto without the mess loose catnip leaves behind.

    SimplyBVermont / Etsy

This clever design has catnip capsules inside the tin case, so just place the balls back inside to re-infuse them with that tasty catnip scent.

This small business located in Vermont. They make all kinds of adorable pet accessories and toys for cats AND dogs.

Promising review: "Fast shipping, seller was super thoughtful and attentive, and most important of all our kitties are obsessed with these balls! Even my shyer one is running around with these having an absolute blast even without my tossing them around. It’s also wearing her out which is quite hard to do. Highly recommend!" —Ketti

Get a set from SimplyBVermont on Etsy for $12.99.

    15. A nail file board — literally an emery board for dogs — for persnickety pups who HATE having their nails trimmed and for the sake of your wood floors, that *need* your dog's nails trimmed.

This sweet small biz is based in Atlanta!

Promising review: "Love this scratch pad! We adopted our dog almost a year ago and he's been terrified of clippers and grinders since day one. We've never been able to maintain his nails due to his super reactive anxiety around nail care. That's all changed since we got the Scratch Pad a few weeks ago! He took to it right away and his nails have shown significant improvement in just a few sessions!" —Kira Aramanji

Get it from ScratchPadForDogs on Etsy for $42.95+ (available in two styles and three grit levels).

    16. An enclosed litter box is gonna save your apartment from the site of a litter box. Whoever designed this lovely piece of furniture deserves a gold star, and probably another cat.

cat coming out of litter box that looks like a tv console

Promising review: "This is seriously so cute! Extremely easy to assemble and my cat adjusted to it right away. Great addition to my new place." —Nicole

Get it from Amazon for $2.95.

    18. A pet hair broom with rubber bristles that'll actually be able to pull the years of hidden fur your vacuum never grabs (no matter how many times you plug in that clunker and run it over the carpet). Who would have thought a carpet broom would be the fastest way to de-shed your stuff?,

Promising review: "I bought this broom based on the tons of great reviews and I am not disappointed. I love this broom! It is lightweight but sturdy. I have used it on tile floors and carpet and it does a great job of getting the pet hair, lint, and dirt. I like this so much better than our traditional push broom. It is very easy to clean after use just using my hand, unlike our old broom. It also has a telescoping handle so that you can adjust it to whatever height you need. There is also a squeegee for doing the house windows and the car windows. I highly recommend it." —Joyce V

Get it from Amazon for $12.44.

    19. A purring cat toy sure to ease your anxious bud by giving them the sensation of curling up next to another purring pal.,

Promising review: "Works like a charm! I recently found myself a cat mama of an abandoned week-old kitten. I bought this knowing she needed just something to cuddle up to in her bed. Turns out it basically hypnotizes her to sleep. She crawls to it, kneads it and eventually her meows turn to silence. I wish the purring lasted longer but for $10 it is a lifesaver. She's pooped on it a couple times so I've had to throw it in the washer and dryer minus the battery pack. It's held up great." —S Leytem

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    20. Musher's Secret paw wax — a stain-free topical ointment formulated with all-natural ingredients that can protect your pup's paws from irritants like salt, heat, snow, ice, and sand.

reviewer photo showing their pup's paws very damaged and then completely healed after using the paw wax

My colleague has written up a full review on this soothing paw salve, be sure to check it out!

Promising review: "I use to live in upper Michigan and used Mushers Secret regularly for my dogs. I bought some a while back though I live in Louisiana now because it blocks the ice and heat well. It also blocks salt from the dog pads. Love this stuff. Recently went to Washington to visit my sister and it was icy and it helped Charlie with his tiny paws. My mom just got a new puppy recently and she lives in Germany. She got a little pug. She was really concerned about her paws getting hurt from the snow, ice and salt. I bought her this product to put in her package as part of her new puppy gifts. This product really works. Just rub a bit into the paws. Wash it off when you get home if need be. I totally recommend this product and have been using it forever. Most dogs don't like wearing boots and this is the way to go. I had a lot of sled dog friends in Michigan and they are the once that got me to try it. I am glad they did." —K9rotehexe

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    21. An aloe vera and oatmeal dander-reducing spray for keeping your cat's coat soft, shiny, and free of flakes. Sure, your cat thinks he's doing a mighty fine job on his own, but his tongue can't exactly condition dry skin or reduce redness – this will clear that up lickety-split!

Before and after showing cat covered in loose fur and dander, wiped clean after using product

Promising review: "We have an overweight cat that has trouble grooming her back. She was so full of dandruff and greasy fur that I hated petting her, which made me very sad. While looking for a shampoo for her, I came across this product and decided to try it before torturing her with a bath. After the first application there was a huge difference! After the second application, her dandruff is GONE. I'm dumbfounded. I dunno how, but it works wonders! We spray her down and then brush her. She is so soft and shiny! She finally looks healthy, and feels good to pet. I'm very thankful for this product. I don't have to be sad about my kitty anymore!" —Amber Steele

Get it from Amazon for $6.49.

    22. A tearstain comb, because your cute white dog looks like he's going through a RUFF time with those dark tearstains down his snout! Add this to your grooming day routine and the only tearstains you'll have to worry about are your own – this thing is that satisfying!

Promising review: "I have a 16 pound Pomeranian/Papillon mix, and she gets tear stains nonstop. I tried all kinds of wipes, oils, and washes, but they would barely get anything out. Sometimes the tear stains get crusty and I can't get them out at all. THESE ACTUALLY HELPED A LOT. The little teeth on them are just the right size for brushing through the crusty areas around her eyes, and then I just wipe the loose remains off easily. And, my dog cooperates; she even likes it, I think. I would definitely recommend this product to small dog owners with similar issues."—Lana D.

    23. A plush log toy even your most shy and ~squirrely~ pupper is gonna adore.

Dog digging head into plush tree trunk with several holes holding squirrel toys

Promising review: "My lab fell in love with it! I got the 'Ginormous' one. It is tall and comes with six squeaking squirrels. He is having a blast and already has removed one squeaker, but the squirrel is still intact. The stitching is very good and durable. He is particularly interested in chewing the cardboard base, (cardboard between the fabrics for support). Finally a toy that challenges and excites him." —Capt. Ken Caine

It is slim, fits perfectly in a bottle slot in my travel bag, it is lightweight, and it has a loop to put around my wrist when I walk with my pups. It is extremely convenient on car rides, when my pup is thirsty and needs a quick pick-me-up! I especially love the fact that it sucks the water back in, so that I am not wasting unused water. The 12-oz bottle is perfect for tiny dogs. Any pet bigger than 10 pounds, I would recommend you purchase the larger bottle." —LV4LNMS

a reviewer's cats playing with the ball toy

Promising review: "An instant hit in the house! My two highly energetic kittens loved the toy from the moment I unpacked it. I was thinking to get a similar cat chase toy with a scratching pad but I settled for this one at last and it may have been a better idea! It's a good toy for a multiple cat household as it has three tiers. A relief to know that the kittens can occupy themselves when nobody is home as this is neither powered by batteries or their humans. If only they stop attacking and my bathtub drainer when I am gone! Eww dudes! Highly recommended." —Tammy S.

Get it from Amazon for $7.11+ (available in seven styles).

    27. A Wobble Wag Giggle ball sure to have your whole family laughing every time your dog starts rolling it around. It has grippy bits to hold with their mouth and paws, is easy to clean, and even makes sounds!,

Promising review: "I have a 7-month-old corgi puppy and this was his favorite toy out of all his toys he got for Christmas! He loves it so much that I have to put it up and away just so I can sleep. It's sturdy and not too noisy (I live in an apartment). His toy preference is for toys that make noise instead of plush toys without squeakers. It's lasted a whole week of play without any problems unlike another toy he already tore up, so it seems durable, at least for small to medium breeds." —Amanda

Get it from Amazon for $11.99+ (also available in glow-in-the-dark color).

This stuff rocks." —J. Ham

    30. An interactive obstacle puzzle toy is gonna stimulate your pet and entertain them while they eat, to prevent them from eating more than they should out of boredom. Plus, reviewers say it helps to reduce nervous behavior!,

Promising review: "This is awesome! My border collie’s level of intelligence is a part time job for me. He requires engagement and he figures out everything fast. This puzzle took him a good hour and a half to figure out the first time and every time after that, he sits with this for about an hour. He’s really calm (which he’s normally not) and concentrated with it, methodically moving pieces." —Courtney

I have had no problems with these wipes, and the pups love having their ears cleaned. On average, I use them once a week with their normal grooming. Reviewer's cat in their litter box

Promising review: "I've tried a lot of different litters when I got (actually he found me) my first cat. I starred with any ole' kind that was cheap and then quickly realized all litters are not the same... After Arm and Hammer (seriously the worst) and then Tidy Cat ( actually, not that bad) and some super-cheap dollar store stuff... I stumbled across Dr. Elseys and have been 100% happy with it. Absolutely NO scent, odor control is brilliant (full disclosure, I add baking soda, not because I think it needs it but because it can't hurt and it's cheap) -I've never had a problem with dust all over the house as I have with the others, and clumping is awesome. I never have a clump break into a million pieces and ruin the litter as with others. I save a ton of money on litter. I do a full box clean after each bag but honestly could go longer. Having it delivered is awesome, and yes... it's heavy. It's 40 pounds of dead weight. That's just the facts. bring it in and finally enjoy your cat instead of worrying about an awful litter box. this is what the pros use and I absolutely recommend it. My cat, Crockpot, loves it." —Marc Daniels

I just put squirt cheese in between the nubs of the slow treater, laid it on the grooming table, and the dogs were happily licking away while I worked on their feet. No pulling away, no second person to hold the dog, just me, some cheese, and the slow treater. I’m a fan!" —D. Dipietro

Promising review: "As the owner of a new puppy I couldn't imagine how anxious I would be able leaving the puppy for the day. I made the leap into what I thought was crazy-pet-parent territory and bought a camera. Best. Purchase. Ever. It works like a dream. I was worried that it might not pick up because our Wi-Fi isn't the strongest or the fastest, no problem. The app (mine is on an iPhone) is very easy to use. The quality of the image, both regular and night vision, is excellent. We use her kibble as treats and it fires several at a time, which doesn't bother me. We angled it so it shoots into her kennel. It is such a huge relief to see her whine for just a few minutes and then settle in to sleep for hours. I even talked to the dog walker through the camera when he arrived." —Teresa
