A sweater stone, scalp scrubber, spice grinder, and other products we (the BuzzFeed Shopping & Products team) truly adore.
Celsious is a Black woman-owned and environmentally focused laundromat *and* online shop based in Brooklyn.
"Like many of you, I've been living in sweats and PJs during this almost-year of WFH full time. And it's made me revisit the state of some of my loungewear. Take for example, this college sweatshirt I wear all the time — as evidenced by the rather EXTENSIVE pilling all over it. So when I saw this pumice-esque sweater stone (it's made from upcycled car windshield glass — how cool is that?!), I decided it was worth the try. We've featured electric pill removers (mostly the fan-favorite Conair one) many times, and they really work. But sometimes you're looking for a little more detail or control — that's where this stone comes in handy.
I was able to navigate around the contours of the logo on my sweatshirt with ease, removing pills using the corner or the entire flat bottom in a few quick strokes. It truly took no time at all — the sweatshirt was done in mere minutes. The only thing I would note is that particles do "fall out" of the stone, so do your pill-removing on a surface that's easy to sweep or vacuum up at the end. Btw, I procured mine from Celsious, but they're also available on Amazon." —Maitland Quitmeyer

"I had absolutely NO idea that there was such a thing as UV sanitizing until my friend gave this PhoneSoap 3 to me as a present. I actually had no idea what this was for a few minutes. After looking into it I learned it’s 99.99% effective for sanitizing phones and keys. It kills 99.99% of bacteria with UV-C lighting, which is also referred to as 'germicidal' lighting (according to the FDA. Wild?!) I'd been using up all of my Clorox wipes to clean my phone so I figured I'd give it a try.
Now the first thing I do whenever I come back from a shopping trip or walk is put my phone and keys in here immediately. It’s like throwing my phone and keys in a little countertop washing machine. It also only takes like 10 minutes to do its thing. It has 3,000+ 5-star ratings on the brand’s website (and 2,000+ on Amazon), and it is a truly vital product that I always use every single time I bring my phone or keys outside of the apartment.” —Anna Kopsky

"My WFH outfits vary: some days I wear dresses, others I go for jogger pants, while still others I happily slip on a pair of jeans because they help me feel like life’s a little more normal. But one key component of any outfit? Socks to keep my toes warm! And while I only have a couple of pairs from Conscious Step, I always look forward to slipping them on because they're incredibly comfy, especially for socks that have a fun design on them — most of my ~fun~ socks are comfortable enough, but I don't especially look forward to putting them on the way I do my polar bear socks! Their secret: besides being nice and soft, they have this terrycloth-like cushion in the toes and heels that makes walking around in them just a little more cozy. Need even more of a reason to give 'em a try? They're fair trade certified and each cute pair benefits a different cause!" —Natalie Brown

"I find most exercise dreadfully boring — but the combination of working from home and the cold winter was getting a bit much, even for me. So, I got this desk/exercise bike combination (or 'deskercise,' as I call it) so that I could get moving while doing other stuff. Although it was a bit tricky to set up, it's been great! If I go on it while I'm focussed on work, I hardly even notice that I'm working out — which is, quite frankly, perfect." —Natasha Jokic

"If you’ve ever wanted lash extensions but didn’t want the hassle associated with them, you will fall unconditionally and irrevocably in love with the Glossier Lash Slick. (That’s a Twilight reference, don’t h8.) I admit that I didn’t think I would like it — I’m not an eyeliner gal (I lack the patience required) and rely heavily on blush and mascara to make me look half awake, so I usually prefer formulas that add a crap ton of drama. But this! This is so surprisingly good! It doesn’t flake, doesn’t clump, lengthens a ton, and looks *extremely* natural. It’s also incredibly easy to remove! My regular face wash is able to take off every last speck, no intense rubbing required.
It’s also very buildable, so I can add on multiple swipes to give my look some extra oomph if I wanted to… and it still doesn’t look clumpy or smudge. I’ve stopped wearing mascara every day due to ::looks around:: these times, but this is my holy grail eye product and will eventually become my ~wear this every single day~ mascara once I get back to the office." —AnaMaria Glavan

As soon as it did, I pounced. (Can you blame me? This is a BIG 2021 mood!) It's pretty comfy and pairs well with all the pajama pants I own (although I'm confident it will look nice with jeans or whatever else I would wear if *gestures at the world* things were more normal and I actually had somewhere to go)." —Melanie Aman

"This just happens to be fan-favorite amongst the BuzzFeed writers — including myself. I have one of these shower companions, and while I don't use it every time I get sudsy, I usually run it through my hair after a few days of back-to-back dry shampooing. It really gets in there to clear up any buildup while also feeling like a nice little scalp massage." —Jasmin Sandal

"This sauté pan is durable as heck. It's heavy and has a helpful lip around the perimeter of the pan so you can worry less about your meal spilling over the side. The fact that it can move from the stove to the oven has made cooking meals so much easier, especially when cooking steaks that I want to sear and then finish off cooking in the oven. I honestly feel like a top notch chef from the Food Network and can't wait to start making meals for guests again post-pandemic while using this high end pan." —Allison Faccenda

I don't have many leather handbags but this one is durable and because I have it in the black color it will never go out of style. I hope to one day pass all my evergreen handbags down to my future kids so they can one day have vintage pieces that aren't "just a fad" and my Hobo bag will for sure be one of them." —Allison Faccenda

"Fluide is one of my favorite beauty companies, and this gloss may just be my favorite product from them. I've long abandoned matte lipsticks and am a gloss girl through and through. This light pink shade is perfect for an everyday look. The texture of the gloss is smooth perfection and shines bright without feeling tacky. I love that Fluide's makeup looks rockin' on all skintones and that all of their products are vegan and cruelty-free. If you haven't tried anything from them — what are you waiting for?! — this gloss would be a wonderful place to start." —Rachel Dunkel

"This stuff is excellent and really grows on you! The first time I tried it, I wasn't entirely sure how I felt, but by the end of the first week, I found myself reaching for it with almost every meal. While all three options have a lot of similarities, they each have their own distinct personality. At first, they were all a little creamier and almost...tomato-y (?) tasting than I expected. Then, I realized there was NO dairy or tomato present at all, but a thickness and slight sweetness almost reminiscent of red bell peppers. The truffle flavor is present but subtle, and the sauce has a solid kick without being overwhelmingly hot. As far as the differences between the three, the White TRUFF sauce is a hint sweeter than the other two, the Original has a slightly earthier flavor than the others, and the extra spiciness of the Hotter TRUFF sauce spreads through the mouth quicker and is definitely hotter than the rest. Verdict: They're all really good! So far, these sauces have shined brightest when added to a nice tomato sauce, drizzled over a slice of pizza, scooped up by crispy french fries, and, believe it or not, even added to a salad dressing, but that's still barely scratching the surface! Plus it comes in a very classy looking box that's great for gifts." —Jonathan Mazzei

"I own and love this scarf! The color is gorgeous and looks phenomenal with a smart outfit and overcoat as well as something more dressed down. The cashmere is super soft and does a nice job blocking out the cold. If you're looking for a scarf you can wear like a giant blanket in sub zero temperatures, this might be a little on the small side, but it's perfect for a layer of extra warmth on chilly nights and adding a comfy and classy touch to any outfit." —Jonathan Mazzei

"I bought this mask chain a few months ago now, and loved it so much, I bought one for my mom and she loves it, too! I love that it's pretty, but the colors are simple enough that they pair well with most of my masks/outfits — because TBH, putting on a real outfit that somewhat matches my mask and mask chain when I go to the grocery store on the weekend is the only form of dressing up I do these days, so might as well have some fun with it, right?! It's the perfect length, it's sturdy, and it just makes putting my mask on before I get out of the car and taking it off when I get back in the car easier (and cleaner) than simply throwing my mask into a cupholder." —Sam Wieder

"I just got one of these to hide the cords behind my TV which have been bugging me for a ~literal year.~ Idk why I waited so long because putting it up was so simple. I got the largest size and it fits three different cords. TBH I couldn't tell you which cords — sound bar? HDMI? etc. — but they're pretty thick and this has no trouble hiding them." —Chelsea Stuart

"I can report that since I received this as a gift last Christmas, I have not taken it off. OK, OK, I begrudgingly slip it off every morning, but, honestly, I cannot wait to put it back on at night. The buttery soft fabric is no joke and the luxurious marble design might be my favorite part about it. I don't wake up with any creases on my face — which has been a consistent issue I've experienced with all other eye coverings. It's also an added bonus that this doesn't tug on my hair during the night. If I were to make one suggestion, though, it would be to choose a darker color if your eyes are *hyper-sensitive* to daylight in the morning like mine are, as this lighter colorway does let ~some~ light in on super bright, sunny days. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to rest their eyes on a pillowy soft, silky cushion." —Jasmin Sandal

"I got these beauties for my birthday a couple months ago and have worn them all the time for those very reasons — the reflective stones really make them versatile, and they make even a slightly blah work-from-home top look polished. They're not *super* light, but light enough to make them work for all-day wear. Plus, they just make me happy!!!" —Katy Herman

"I love my new planner from Little Otsu! It's obviously adorable, but most importantly, it's so incredibly functional. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but the well-organized month, week, goal, and note sections have already helped me get my brain on the page and better plan by work days, as well as weekly chores and workouts. I especially love the dateless month and week pages, which ensure I won't 'waste' any precious planner pages when I'm on vacation, not super busy, or tbh just feeling a little lazy. Highly recommend this for anyone who'd like to get their schedule in a little more order while still keeping some wiggle room." —Rachel Dunkel

"To start off — YUM! This specific coffee blend (and loads of others on the Volcanica website) tick a lot of boxes for me. Available as whole beans or specific grinds? Check. Organically grown? Check. Fair Trade Certified? Also, check. Plus, it's delicious. I don't love a ton of acidity in my coffee, and I like that Volcanica notes the acidity on-site. This one was classified as 'medium' and that felt accurate to my pretty unrefined palette. I was also weirdly delighted by their packaging. It's a hefty bit of coffee for the price, and the bag is resealable so I know those beans are staying ~fresh~ without occupying space in my normal airtight coffee bean bins." —Danielle Healy

"How have I gone my entire life without this? Really. I can't believe I've been relying on my own poorly choreographed circular and angular strokes.
All of that is to say, I love this toothbrush. It uses advanced sonic technology offering four cleaning modes to choose from; personally, I like the gentleness of the gum care mode. My favorite thing about it, though, is that it operates in four 30 second intervals. At the end of each interval, it buzzes to inform you that it's time to move to another part of your mouth. Because who's really making sure they brush their teeth for exactly two minutes? And when you're done, you just place it back in its charging pod until the next time you need it.
I can tell I'm getting such a deeper clean than I used to get with manual toothbrushes, and I can never go back. Plaque has met its match with Dr. Brite." —Taylor Steele

"It's now been almost a year of mask-wearing and I figured the summer would have been the worst of it in terms of comfort (or more accurately discomfort). But no, it's the winter (and my decision to grow a winter beard) that's making every trip outdoors a clammy condensation party underneath my mask. And since we're doubling up our masks it's not getting any better. So I was so psyched to discover OH.So's mask refresher spray. This has been the ideal solution (other than, you know, shaving my beard) to eradicating the funk of a thousand years that seems to accumulate in my mask in only a matter of minutes. A quick spritz or two as soon as you come home gives you a delightful mint-eucalyptus-scented surprise the next time you head on out." —John Mihaly

"I am not usually an eyeshadow person, but I've recently discovered that the barrier to entry to me was really the inconvenient, brush-dirtying, fallout-inducing formulas of traditional shadow. Turns out, I love shadow markers, pens, wands, you name it, and Alleyoop's 11th Hour is one of my favorites. I have the shade 'Bronze Medal' and love it for days when I don't want a dramatic look but want more than just mascara and gloss. It's literally so easy to apply. Just swipe it on, dab a bit with your fingers to diffuse the edges, and voila! And for being so easy to apply, it has great staying power. It lays perfectly all day with no creasing, but removes easily with makeup wipes." —Rachel Dunkel
Get it from Allyoop for $24.
"I have this Everplush towel set in charcoal and it really does exactly what they promise. I'm dry under a minute after taking a shower, and it doesn't get bogged down with water afterwards. And by the time I finish my after-shower skincare routine, the towel is already dry. Oh, and speaking of skincare routine, I use the hand towel to pat my face dry. This whole set is so soft and luxurious, I can kinda convince myself I'm at a spa. Kinda." —Taylor Steele

"I just got one of these snazzy kitchen gadgets, and now every time I use it I think to myself, 'How was I living life before this thing?!' It finely grinds salt down to that nice flaky texture, and then easy pops out the pod if I want to use pepper. I even got a different type of pod ideal for more oily spices (think mustard or flax seed). Now I am looking for reasons to use this thing... Salt on cake???" —Kayla Suazo
Get it from Amazon for $47.91 (available in three colors).
The set includes a chef’s knife, a bread knife, a utility knife, a boning knife, a paring knife, a tailored ceramic honing rod, and a cylinder glass knife block.
"I own two Hast knives and I've gotta say, they've turned me into a true knife snob. I had no idea how hard I was working to prep vegetables/meat/bread before. Now that I have lightweight, sharp knives, I can really feel the difference. My wrist doesn't get tired and prep work is done much faster. Whether you're wanting the whole collection or, like me, starting with a few and building up, I highly recommend getting Hast knives into your home!" —Mallory Mower

"I've been using this regularly for the last six months and I never thought I'd be so impressed by something so seemingly boring. The foot-operated wringer is a life-saver for a lazy cleaner like me, and the microfiber mop dries quickly and stays fresh in between uses." —Daniel Boan

"Hey friends! That's me masked-up, wearing the brown tortoise style that I am obSESSED with. They make me feel so fancy and look ah-mazing with a sleek, pulled back bun, might I add. I get so many compliments when I wear them and people are floored when I tell them the price. You need these." —Jasmin Sandal

"I only got these because it was a Black Friday sale because for some reason I am very resentful about purchasing boots (I love sneakers too much to function), but now that I've worn them I would have paid full price and then some. They're ridiculously comfortable, keep my feet warm and dry, and I felt very secure walking in them on a day with fresh snow and the day after, when the sidewalks were icy. There was no break-in period, either, which I appreciate because I tend to go on long walks. There are no half sizes and some reviewers suggested leaning toward your lower size if you're usually a half — this was true for me! They run a smidge large." —Emma Lord
