Promising review: "These are awesome flameless candles. They actually look like real flames with the way they have made them. They are a believable brightness and flicker really nicely. The remote is easy to use and though each candle uses AA batteries, they last a very long time. I've had these for over seven months, turn them on almost every night for three to four hours, and have not had to change the batteries yet. The candles are real wax and, overall, this is a high quality product. I would recommend to anyone." —Martin Richard Zefelippo
Each gel stamp lasts for about 12 days (depending on how often you flush), each refill has six gel stamp uses, and each box has two refills. So one box will keep your toilet clean for at least 144 days.
Get it from Amazon for $16.50.
Promising review: "I live in a two-story house with three men, so needless to say, our downstairs toilet becomes quite a mess no less than three days after I clean it. But with this product, it keeps the bathroom smelling fresh, the toilet looking clean, and me feeling less grossed out about cleaning the toilet at the end of the week! I highly recommend this product for anyone with a house full of guys, or just someone who hates cleaning the toilet as much as I do. You could easily not scrub your bowl for two weeks and not have to worry about stuck on grossness." —Vanessa
The Luxe Bidet Neo 120 (which we recommend here), has chrome knobs for a more ~elegant~ look, everything you need to set it up in minutes right in the kit, and a self-cleaning feature that sanitizes the nozzle and retracts when you're not using it.
Get it from Amazon for $39.95.
Promising review: " It was actually my brother who sold me on trying one after he’d done so himself, and after installing it myself, (which really is pretty quick and easy), I was blown away the very first time I used it. If you’re one of those people that use wayyyy too much toilet paper and wipes because you can’t ever seem to get clean enough, this device will be a pleasant surprise. The rinse from the water does most of the cleaning for you. You’ll hardly need any toilet paper at all afterwards, other than to dry off. No rubbing your skin raw anymore trying to get clean. I can’t recommend this product highly enough. Just try it. You’ll love it. Yes, it’s cold water that washes you off, but you feel totally refreshed afterwards, and extremely clean and pain-free." —Scott

Promising review: "I have several houseplants that had stopped flowering, so I put a few of these spikes in the pot (there are directions on the back of package for quantity), and approximately a month after using these spikes, my peace lily had three flowers on it, and my African violet plants all got several blooms on them! This worked wonders for my plants that don't flower also! I noticed that my ivy and cactus plants started growing faster, and they became more green and healthy-looking. I am very happy with this product, and I will buy it again." —Elizabeth

Promising review: "I always thought it was a hoax that a piece of steel could remove kitchen odors (like from chopping onions or garlic). I am happy to report that it totally works. Handle all the stinky food you want — even nonfood odors — and then wash your hands with this steel bar. No soap. No perfume. It just removes the odor nearly instantly. Little bar is reasonably priced as well. Best gadget I've bought in years." —Deb
They're leak-safe, dishwasher-safe, and freezer-safe, too.
Get a set of 12 from Amazon for $16.99.
Promising review: "My goal for 2020 was to start saving money. I'm a big 'meal prepper' and I eat healthy snacks through my workday. These bags are perfect!!! I wish they had some in true snack size, like for small berries and such. But i love them! I just rinse them out and hang on the coffee cup side of the dish rack and they dry just fine! Only thing is I did notice some minor staining when I put in blueberries, but it came out in a few washes. They are super durable and lay almost completely flat, which is something I was looking for. I did NOT want the bulky bags like they sell on Grove.co I HAVE EVEN STARTED USING THESE IN THE FREEZER! Overall very satisfied and would purchase again!" —Raeann
I have this myself, and what a great purchase! This little bb is so easy to use — just pop it on top of the bottle, push the metal sides in so it clamps on, then push the top button several times to vacuum seal and preserve the bubs. Then when you next want a glass, spritz, or mimosa, you'll hear that same *POP* you heard when first taking out the cork — and the effervescence you so crave will be fully intact. Plus, you can confidently store your leftover bottle on its side in your fridge; I've had zero leakage problems with this!

Promising review: "These are giant bags. They are extremely sturdy. I can go grocery shopping for my whole family using these and I’m not afraid of them ripping or tearing like I do with store bags or other reusable bags. The patterns are also really cute." —Amber Sayre

Promising review: "I really regretted this purchase at first, seemed like it was just a vibrator, the shape was weird considering the angles of a face, the two different sides felt the same. BUT THEN....... I dried my face with a white towel and there was not a speck of makeup left on the towel and I didn't have a drop of mascara raccoon eye look left on my face. This is the cleanest my face has ever been. I will keep using it." —hine0108

Promising review: "BEST PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE, PROBABLY. I bought this underwear the day it was released. I don't usually buy anything off clearance, but I made an exception for period-proof underwear that isn't panties/briefs. I figured these would be worth $30 apiece for being a shape that won't set off my brain's gender alarms. These are so much nicer even than just that. I no longer get pad wedgies. My reusable fabric pads no longer slide around randomly (the floating gusset holds everything in place nicely). The gusset doesn't get twisted, doesn't chafe, nothing like that. Everything stays exactly where I need it to be, even when I'm asleep. The only downside -- the fabric is a little thinner than I expected. I'd only ordered bras from TomboyX before, so I didn't realize how lightweight the underwear is. It's comfortable and it's fully opaque, so it's not really an issue, just an observation. Time will tell how these hold up to repeated wearing, washing, stain removing, etc., but I have high hopes since the overall design is really effective." —E.

Promising review: "This little device removes the oil from your screen. Often, when you are 'cleaning' your screen by wiping it with a cloth, you are simply pushing around the oil into a thin enough layer to see through without noticing it as much. This device actually lifts the oil and removes it. My screen feels like new, which is great because I am picky about my devices. Also, this is much better than cleaning the screen with some kind of wipe since repeated cleaning with most wipes will damage the screen over time. Unbeknownst to me, my wife was cleaning her screen daily and now her screen collects oils far too quickly because she wore off the protective layer. With this product, you don't need to worry about that. Clean it as often as you want/need and you can continue to enjoy that pristine screen without fear of wearing the oleophobic layer off prematurely. I would highly recommend this to others." —Alex
It comes with a 1/2-inch general cleaning brush head, but you can also buy a 1-inch head and a specialized grout-cleaning head!
Get it from Amazon for $15.99.
Promising review: "I always thought things like this were silly; surely a little elbow grease will get any job done, right? nope! I fell madly in love with this brush the second I used it! Sure it's a bit loud, but my gleaming white grout in my bathroom totally negates it. I've since discovered so so many things I can clean with this. There's nooks and crannies all over my apartment (built in 1890!) that I never thought would be clean... but a few minutes after letting this bad boy loose on it, everything was squeaky clean! Also a huge help to those of us who are disabled!!" —Crystal

Promising review: "I have BAD feet. Like genetically bad. I have tried EVERYTHING. I’ve spent an excessive amount of money on foot masks, foot scrubs, pedicures, pumice stones, foot files, etc. Nothing worked. This fixed my feet in five minutes. I was actually in shock. I haven’t had 'soft' feet in years. I literally feel like I have new feet. Best $10 I ever spent." —Hdb
And yes, the above photo shows a used filter (left) vs. an unused one (right) to show how much it's filtering OUT of the water. Yikes. BTW, each cartridge lasts for two years! You can get more from Amazon for $19.99.
It has a two-step filter that removes 99.99% of contaminants, and it comes with direct connect hoses to hook right up to the standard 3/8-inch valves in US kitchen sinks.

Promising review: "We have town water and it seems they are putting more and more chlorine in it every year. We should be getting used to it and tasting it less and less, not more! The refrigerator filters are super expensive and weren't cutting it. Every time I put a glass to my mouth it smelled like a swimming pool. I searched the internet and decided to give this a try due to the positive reviews and affordability. Wow! easy install (I'm an avid DIYer). And the taste! The chlorine taste is just gone! No more overpriced fridge filters for us. I love that the filter replacement procedure is basically the same as a fridge. Just twist and remove. We love it so much I teed off the fridge line and put a dispenser at our sink as well. The flow on this thing is just amazing! And the water tastes great! Don't waste your money on the expensive, complicated ones. My parents have a three-chambered, name brand filter at their house. It was expensive, the replacement filters are expensive, it is a pain in the petunias to replace the filters, and the flow rate is pathetic! But guess what! Our water from this filter tastes just as good as theirs at a fraction of the price, plus it's way more convenient, plus the flow rate is way better. I just can't say enough. Love, Love it! You will too!" —BJ
The curved stainless-steel will feel smooth against your tongue, removing bacteria without causing irritation — and it lasts for years.
Get a pack of two from Amazon for $14.98.
Promising review: "Besides its obvious purpose, this item is really fun to use! I also like the consequences; I get to see the 'stuff' on the metal piece when I scrape it which tells me I'm taking crap off my tongue. And then my tongue also feels scraped, which makes me feel like I did something more than just some kind of toothpaste or mouthwash to generally keep my mouth clean (which hasn't worked before). I think the feeling of having done something specific to keep your mouth clean is an important aspect of having confidence in your breath. After having bad breath for a while, no matter whether my mouth is clean or not, I shy away from talking directly at people. But this helps remove some of my doubts and act like a normal human being again." —Ashley
You'll *both* be happier.
Get it from Amazon for $16.99 (available in three sizes and six colors).
Promising review: " UPDATE: I’ve been using this for a few weeks, and I love it. It cleans the salt off my dogs’ paws so easily. When it’s super dirty and the streets are covered in salt, I’ll refresh the water supply. I add a few drops of their doggie shampoo, and it works great. Don’t believe the negative reviews. I don’t see how they can possibly not know how to use this gadget. It is so easy to use. And the pictures of the German Shepherds and their mess, I find it impossible that this gadget could possibly create that mess. I guess if they are covered in thick mud, then they have to be hosed down, and this product is not a replacement for a bath. I have four dogs in NYC. I have to wash their feet after every walk because the streets are so filthy. It would take me about 10-15 minutes to clean their paws with a spray bottle and towel. Now, it takes about five minutes. And the towel doesn’t end up filthy. The dirt gets caught in the cup. Plus the dogs seem to like it. The silicone bristles must feel good. A huge thumbs-up!" —Sandra
They can keep produce fresher for two to three times longer. Each packet inside the Bluapple lasts three months, and you can order replacement packets as needed.
Get a pack of two from Amazon for $19.99.
Promising review: "This product works so much better than I thought it would! Worth every penny. The little ethylene gas (produce lets off this gas and it speeds up it's demise) absorbing packet goes into the apple and you just toss it in your product drawer. Easy peasy! This pack comes with two apples and enough packets to last a full year. I have had strawberries last over a week in the drawer (no fuzzy mold or squishy spots). This has resulted in less waste and I am sure that they have more than paid for themselves in food savings in just a couple of months. So glad I gave these a try." —Lisa C.
One roll of these will tackle a number of messes equivalent to 60 ROLLS of conventional paper towels.
Get a roll from Amazon for $12.99.
Promising review: "I've had these bamboo towels for a month now and am incredibly impressed with their performance! They're much larger than a regular paper towel, thicker, softer and more absorbent. I've washed the first ones I've torn off the roll several times now and they DO survive the laundry and perform just as well afterward. I've only used five bamboo towels this month, washed them and re-used. Several times. I would have been through a whole roll of Brawny by now. One caveat...when you wash them, you're supposed to air dry them, so I haven't sent any through the dryer. And I haven't needed to, because allowing them to air dry has not affected the quality of the towels when I 're-roll' them!" —A. Clark

Promising review: "I have had my set of knives for over 10 years. I was looking to replace them when someone recommended trying to sharpen them. I hated sharpening the knives with the sharpener they came with. I wanted something easy. This was it! I sharpened all my knives with it and they are like they were when I first purchased them. This knife sharpener made it quick and easy. It saved me a lot of money from purchasing a new set. If your knives are dull, give this a try. You can't beat it for the price!" —M. Bell

This model has an on/off switch right on the handle so you can pause easily without squirting water all over your bathroom. It comes with seven flossing tips for different needs, including for crowns and implants — this is great for braces, too!
Get it from Amazon for $69.99 (available in eight colors).
Promising review: "This thing is a necessity. That's how strongly I feel about it after a month of usage. I had regularly used floss and felt that it was adequate, but decided to purchase a Waterpik because it was on sale and I was bored. Wow. This is one of the most important purchases I've made in years. I feel like a good analogy would be to try imagining cleaning the hard-to-reach parts of your vehicle with a rope. You've done it for years because it's all you know. Then enters the pressure washer, which allows you to blast things to smithereens. Floss = rope, Waterpik = pressure washer. Bam. Done. Not going back as long as it works." —Damian

They *guarantee* that each scrubber sponge will stay odor-free for at least three months.
Promising review: "My girlfriend has a keen nose for mildew, which meant we were throwing out kitchen sponges well before they were worn out. I came across these and was very happy with the first ones we tried. Absolutely no odor, even after several weeks worth of usage. The scrubber will break down long before it starts to smell. A definite winner in my book!" —Amazon Customer

The vents regulate the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide and keeps moisture away so your strawberries taste freshly-picked days and days and days later. I recently got a couple of these and a bunch of basil and strawberries stayed fresh for SO LONG!!
Promising review: "I read the reviews and thought I’d give these a try since they here easily half the price of the other ones I looked at that had to have the charcoal filters replaced periodically. These need no filter changes and oh-my-gosh, they work! I went on a 10-day trip to visit my mom and left my husband home with asparagus, strawberries, and spinach in the containers. He ate some of all of them, but there was plenty left when I got back and they were in perfect condition! I couldn’t believe it! These will save us a lot of money not throwing away food because we couldn’t get through it fast enough. (We shop at Costco and get large containers of produce.) These are TOTALLY worth getting and I will be getting a few more sizes. Excellent product!!!" —Elizabeth Walter

Get a set of four mats (two half and two quarter), plus a silicone brush and spatula from Amazon for $26.75.
Promising review: "OMG!!! I don’t know how I ever baked without silicone baking mats before. This was my first time trying them, and I was NOT disappointed! They are truthfully nonstick. They bake evenly every time. They are quite durable; my daughter used one directly on the rack for her pizza (she didn’t know that this manufacturer recommends that you NOT do that). It baked the pizza evenly and the cheese came out perfectly browned, while the crust was perfectly crisp. They wash very well in the dishwasher; I just stand them in a slot between the plates. I’ve used these mats to bake cookies, hot pockets, chicken breast, bacon, crescent rolls, and more. Every single item turned out perfectly. I would HIGHLY recommend these baking mats! I will definitely be purchasing more for myself and others!" —YaLanda

Promising review: "Great for making cakes and breads. Helps greatly that my arthritic hands are not up to stirring and kneading anymore so the beautiful pink KitchenAid stands up to the test. Purchased for my daughter and I am teaching her to bake and cook as she now has a family of her own. Would own nothing but a KitchenAid. My original is nearly 30 years old and is still in fine working order. By far the best by for the money and lots of beautiful colors are now available besides my basic white old faithful. If I did a huge amount of baking I would get a commercial grade but I am just a home baker and still work everyday. Cannot go wrong with the stand mixer." —Shelia Foster

Promising review: "I have a pair of black leather flats that stank so badly my husband would yell at me if I took them off anywhere near him. But I love the shoes! So I had to find something to make the stench go away without leaving me with an allergic reaction. Mini Moso was the answer. I honestly couldn’t believe it. A few days after placing them in my pried-off shoes, I took a whiff from about a foot away. Nothing. I got closer. Nothing. I stuck my nose practically in the shoe. Promising review: "I did not have any other Kindles before this. In fact, I'm a traditional book-in-the-hand reader. I love pages. But I have recently gotten into recycling and I was torn between loving my books and saving trees. I did not expect to love this as much as I did. It is small enough that I can hold it in my child-sized hand. Has a great battery life. No glare screen. You can sync it to Goodreads to keep track of the books you have read. I love that it tells me how far into the book I am and how long it until the end of the chapter. It is really easy to tuck into a purse or a large coat pocket. With the pandemic closing the libraries and only being able to borrow books online, I have definitely been able to keep busy. So happy I had this, it's been my constant companion. Even reduced the time I spent on my phone." —LH
As a personal note, I love my Kindle SO MUCH, and would definitely consider it the best purchase I made that year. I get books immediately downloaded from the library, and I bring it with me *everywhere* I go. I'm literally reading 10 times as many books a year as I was pre-Kindle.
Each planter comes with a clip-on watering attachment for easy pouring!
Get it from Amazon for $9.97+ (available in three sizes).
Promising review: "I purchased six of these so far. And plan to purchase more. They are reliable, functional, easy to use, and my plants love them. They work well indoors and out. The little spout keeps water from getting everywhere. While they are absolutely perfect, a couple of suggestions: It'd be nice if the distance between the saucer and pot was ever so much increased so as to easily tell if more water is needed. Again, this is SO minor and will not affect my future purchases. AND I hope this company is so successful it can add more colors and styles. I plan to buy a half dozen more as my small plants grow a bit more." —Brenda Daily
