^Me to my phone alarm, every morning in the wintertime^

Luckily, Philips designed a genius product to save our mornings — the Philips Wake Up Light, Nightlight, and Alarm Clock. And guess what, you can get it right now for 🚨 47% OFF 🚨 on Groupon!

That's right, it *was* $149.99, but you can score yours right now for just $79.99! Waking up will never be the same.

How will it change your mornings, you ask? Well you can now say goodbye to harsh alarm sounds, waking up to an annoying song on the radio, and opening your eyes in the dark.

"OK, campers, rise and shine! And don't forget your booties, cuz it's COOOOLD out there!"

The Philips light wakes you gradually, with 20 brightness settings that slowly increase over 30 minutes so you rise ~with the sun~, feeling energized and ready for the day. Once it's at full brightness, only *then* will the alarm sound go off.

It has seven sound settings you can customize that alarm to your needs — including a bird sound setting to go with your sunrise.

Hey, we've tried it ourselves — and it totally works!

Let's hear what our very own Natalie Brown has to say about it:

"I've been using this alarm + bedside lamp combo since last October, and I can't understate how wonderful it is to wake up ~peacefully~ every morning...and fall asleep more easily every night.

The biggest doubt I had about this clock is whether it could actually, well, wake me up. There are only two alarm sound options: a radio station of your choice and a set of "gentle wake-up sounds" that seemed a little too peaceful to actually get me out of bed. I tried the radio station for a while, but got tired of waking up to Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" every damn day. So I switched to the "bird song" nature sound and set a backup alarm on my phone juuuuust in case.

I've never needed that backup alarm. Here's why: No matter what the sun is doing that day, I get a sunrise in my room, perfectly timed to my schedule. The sounds help a little, but the light does most of the work. It starts getting brighter, slowly, before the alarm goes off, which my body reads as the beginnings of the sunrise. By the time the birds start singing, I'm already most of the way awake, and the light's bright enough that (after a few minutes scrolling through my phone) I just...get out of bed.

Of course, all of this works best when you go to bed at the same time every night, but, well, I'm working on that part."

And not only does it help you in the morning — the sunset mode helps you establish a bedtime routine. Just open your current book, and read until the light slowly fades away. You'll be ready to drift off in no time.

Here's what Natalie has to say about this awesome feature:

"I tap the little sleeping face on the side, and the light does a gradual fade-out over the course of 30 to 45 minutes (or however long I set). And it's not just a dimming effect — it goes through the calming deep oranges and reds that the sunset does, which tells my body that it's time to get some rest and helps me relax. I'm not always completely asleep by the time the room gets dark, but it never takes too long after that!"

It also has a nightlight you can turn on so you don't trip when peeing at 2:30am, plus four brightness settings on the clock so the light doesn't bother you at night. Smart! Aaaaand it comes with a two-year warranty through Philips.

It has an average rating of 4.7/5 stars on Groupon itself (plus thousands of glowing reviews on Amazon too!)

Let's see what some of the Groupon reviewers have to say:

"Arrived in estimated time and works as claimed! It helps me wake up so gently and gradually that I am ready to get out of bed by the time the alarm goes off. Since the light is gradual, there is no eye strain with the light vs. flipping a light switch on. My fiancé is now able to get up in the morning with ease, and he has previously been someone who hits the snooze button repeatedly. 10/10 would recommend, especially at the price point offered on Groupon!" —Monica

I've only been using it for a few days, but I'm happy with the purchase. This is the more advanced version with five different wake sounds, two white noise sounds, and the stimulated sunrise. I have to get up at 2:30am for work, which is really difficult for me. The light coming on wakes me up almost immediately and then I can lay there dozing off and on until I'm ready to get up." —Rane

"This wake up light is exactly what I've been looking for. It really helps me wake up feeling more refreshed versus being jolted awake suddenly by my regular alarm. I am very light sensitive and find it difficult to sleep with bright LED displays in the room, so I really like that the clock display brightness is adjustable. Other wake up lights I have tried come on rather suddenly and still jar me awake, but the Philips light comes on so gradually that I slowly start to stir and am more or less awake by the time the alarm sounds." —Celeste

"Bought for a basement room and it works so much better than I anticipated. Nothing like total darkness to the curtains ripping open or someone turning the lights on. In other words I’m not waking up yelling at someone. So happy I made the purchase!" –Barbara

The sale is for a limited time only, so don't ~sleep on~ this great deal! Get it from Groupon for $79.99 (originally $149.99).
