HOLY SHIT. HOLY SHIT. HOLY SHIT. First of all, this post is filled with spoilers, don't say I didn't warn ya. Secondly: LET'S DISCUSS THE ABSOLUTE PERFECTION THAT WAS LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE OF SUPERGIRL. AND YES I AM SCREAMING.
As we know, the progression of Alex and Maggie's relationship has been a rollercoaster of emotions.
But last night, the gay gods blessed us so hard and tbh, Sanvers single-handedly saved 2016.
First, let's talk about the first blessing of the night, when Alex came out to her mom midway through the episode. It was a short conversation, but also it was... P E R F E C T.
This one line just about sums up how wonderful the moment was:
So then, after the coming out to mom part, it was back to Maggie 'n Alex stuff. But Maggie got shot.
Which led us to our second blessing of the night: Maggie in a hospital bed looking like this...
...AND THEN YET ANOTHER A M A Z I N G conversation about how Maggie helped Alex realize she was gay and how this is her new normal and how it's a great new normal etc. etc...
...resulting in this:
But then, the gay gods really outdid themselves with the final scene of the episode, giving us our third blessing of the night: the moment Alex and Maggie actually became a real thing.
Now I will basically break it down second by second.
First: Alex hears a knock and it's Maggie at the door.
Then Maggie says that Alex's pajamas are cute.
Then Maggie says she almost died and Alex was like, ha, like I would let that happen.
And then the clouds parted and the lights from the heavens shined down upon us and Maggie said "life is too short."
"And we should be who we are."
"And we should kiss the girls that we wanna kiss."
And then, my friends. Well, this happened.
Which resulted in this:
But it wasn't over cause Alex still had to do this adorable thing to Maggie's hair.
And then kiss some more.
