Honestly, I'm Crying Laughing Over This Restoration Of A Sculpture In Spain

    This is art!!

I've been staring at this picture for the last two hours because I cannot get over that this is REAL. But in order for us to all be on the same page, I've gotta take you back.

The face of a sculpture that was restored incredibly poorly

This was a sculpture on an office building in Spain. I say "was" because this is what it once looked like.

The face of a woman in a headscarf smiling

    But now this lady...

    Looks like this.

Closeup of the woman's new face, which now looks cartoonish

After the head fell off, the sculpture was restored. But for some reason, THIS WAS THE END RESULT OF THE RESTORATION.

    I can't stop laughing.

Like, with all due respect to the artist who restored it...WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?

Somehow, the missing cow head was restored really nicely.

But the lady? Well, she was turned into a melting candle with eyes.

The new face features two ovals that vaguely resemble human eyes

It might seem like I dislike what has happened, but it’s actually the opposite. I love it. It's art in its truest form. It's perfect.

I want everything in Spain — and while we’re at it, Italy too — to be restored exactly like this.

LET'S GET TO WORK, PEOPLE!! We've got a lot to do.
