    It's a pretty special place.

    1. The British countryside is incredibly diverse. It has rolling fields in some places.

    2. And craggy hills in others.

    3. But wherever you are, it looks amazing.

    4. Anyone who has lived there knows that most of the little villages around the country never seem to change.

    5. With all their quirky, fun traditions still in place.

    6. If you grew up there, you probably learnt to drive in places like this.

    7. So when you're not in the countryside, you miss being able to drive tiny country roads.

    8. Spring means bluebells absolutely everywhere. Like, almost too many.

    9. And daffodils.

    10. And acres of rapeseed.

    11. But there's no reason for us to be talking about that because LAMBS.

    12. LOOK AT THIS LAMB.

    13. AND ALL THESE LAMBS.

    14. Summer is special in the countryside.

    15. Everywhere starts looking glorious.

    16. It really opens up the sort of activities you can do.

    17. And it ends with harvest.

    18. When autumn comes everything starts looking different so much quicker than in the city.

    19. Because more trees means more leaves means more colours.

    20. Wildlife looks even more adorable as well.

    21. Then winter starts to creep in and freeze leaves over.

    22. A hard frost is cold, but goddamn magical when there's lots of grass around.

    23. You might not get snow every year, but when you do it's incredible.

    24. The city can never look as good as the countryside when it snows.

    25. Or be as much fun.

    26. Of course, the most important part of the countryside is the country pub.

    27. There aren't many things finer.

    28. They're always unique and interesting.

    29. They always do the best roasts.

    30. And the only real Ploughman's.

    31. Bonus points if it has a fire and a pub dog.

    32. The countryside has the best landmarks, like this viaduct.

    33. Or stone circles.

    34. Or chalk hill figures.

    35. Or spectacular gorges.

    36. The countryside is the best for real ale as well - not least because it's so much cheaper than anyone else.

    37. And the cider is pretty good as well, depending on where you are.

    38. You can't get real forests anywhere but the countryside.

    39. You know, the ones you can get lost in.

    40. And you find odd things in the woods, like this Roman bridleway.
