In case you don't know, BORG stands for "blackout rage gallon," but it's actually not as aggressive as the name implies. It's basically a gallon of water in a jug, with some removed and replaced with your alcohol of choice and flavoring or electrolytes. BORGs have exploded on TikTok as the college drink of the moment.

While some are concerned that the fad just encourages binge drinking, others have pointed out that it can actually be a method of harm reduction. When it's your BORG, you choose how much alcohol to add, or none at all! No one needs to know. 

Another benefit people are highlighting is that it's a personal drink you carry around, with a tight-fitting lid, meaning no one else can mess with your drink.

There are recipes that call for a certain percentage of alcohol or other additions, but we say, "Your BORG, your rules." That means you can keep it 100% nonalc, if you want to.
