Independent filmmaker gets big opportunities after award winning films

Harshrajsinh Gohil, writer, director and editor of films like, A Tourist and Psych, was nominated for numerous film festivals in the US. In total, he took five awards for these films.

Most notably he won at the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival and Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival for best editing. During this time, he was working at the AOL studios and these recognition's caught attention of some distinguished filmmakers.

Harshrajsinh has been offered a great opportunity to work in a feature film, Wolf from producer Nanda Rao who has been producing independent films for the last 15 years. Harshrajsinh will also work on the two-time Emmy nominated documentary “It’s the Journey with Jaz”. The producers of the documentary series will be filming new episode travelling around US, India and Nepal.

Harshrajsinh is currently in India working on his independent feature documentary, which will tell the success stories of mentally and physically challenged individuals who have achieved success against all odds. Harshrajsinh told us, “I am very excited to have these projects on my hands. Since the last six years, I have been working for these kind of opportunities and now that I have them I can’t wait to start! These projects are huge for my career and I want to give my best work.

When asked about what he likes best: writing, directing or editing? He said, “I greatly enjoy writing and directing, but I love editing. As an editor, I can transform into a magician. Seating in my editing room, I can make things appear out of nowhere or vanish them with a blink of the eye. Editing completes the film/project and I get an amazing feeling like no other. Yes, editing is my first love."
