12 Reasons "Love, Simon" Is The Coming-Of-Age Movie You've Been Waiting For

The wait is almost over. Remember what it was like to fall in love for the first time when Love, Simon comes out on March 29.

The new coming-of-age movie Love, Simon will be gracing our cinema screens in March – and it looks incredible.

1. It's about the drama of falling in love for the first time told through the lens of Simon, a 17-year-old boy who hasn't told his family or friends that he's gay.

2. Yes, that's right folks: We FINALLY have a mainstream high school movie with a gay protagonist. How refreshing!

3. Things get complicated for Simon when he falls for an anonymous classmate online, known only as "Blue".

4. Simon is played by up-and-coming heartthrob Nick Robinson (from Jurassic World), while Australia's own Katherine Langford (of 13 Reasons Why fame) co-stars as his bestie, Leah Burke.

5. Other notable cast members include Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel, who do a bloody good job playing Simon's parents. Just ask them:

6. No, but really, Jen, will you be our mum?!

7. The film is an adaptation of Becky Albertalli's much-loved YA novel Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda about friendships, first loves, and being true to yourself.

8. It was made by the same producers as The Fault in Our Stars and the same director as Riverdale and Dawson's Creek, so it's basically guaranteed to be amazing.

9. The soundtrack has some absolute bangers too.

10. The coming-of-age-and-coming-out storyline is really one about self-discovery and acceptance.

11. And trying to work out WTF this thing called love is.

12. It's charming, heartfelt, and funny in all the right places.
