Response to WHICH OF THE DIMES ARE YOU MOST LIKE?:
Eva Effron Robin Travel, art and books. If those are your three passions in life then congratulations, you are most like Eva! Eva Effron Robin (1900-1987) believed education and DPhiE were means for women in the early 20th century to broaden their base and enrich their lives… always learning and encouraging others to learn. Her life-long friendship with her Founding sisters personified everything about the joys of lasting friendship within our sisterhood. Her sudden death during travels in Europe is an inspiration for us to embrace life and explore our world. She is said to rarely have missed an art exhibit and even started her own book club. She is quoted as saying that she felt all of Florence was a museum and she knew every inch of it. Eva’s lifelong travel companion was her daughter, Jane. And if you are wondering…Eve or Eva? She went by both, it’s even on her membership card in our archives.
