Star Trek Actor Calls Out Misogyny In Gaming In The Best Way Possible

Wil Wheaton, the internet's most beloved geek, takes down sexism in gaming.

In the past couple weeks, misogyny in the gaming world took another very ugly turn.

Indie game developer Zoe Quinn faced rape threats and other forms of harassment as the target of an abusive online campaign launched by her ex-boyfriend over an alleged sex scandal. In a separate incident, feminist blogger Anita Sarkeesian and her family received violent threats following the release of her newest video, which highlighted video games that used women as sexual ornaments. These two circumstances don't come as any surprise for those familiar with the gaming community's rampant problem with sexism, which is evident in the way women are portrayed in video games, and how they are treated in the online community.
