Here Are 6 Resolutions To Follow In 2015 From Some Of Your Favourite Females

2015 has just begun, which means the topic of most conversations this week is New Years resolutions. Why not find some positive resolutions for the new year from the pages of our most loved funny gals: Mindy Kaling, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Nora Ephron?

1. Resolve to love yourself a little more this year.

We constantly see January 1st as a day to bash our looks, thoughts, and habits. Why not resolve to provide yourself with a little more love and understanding in 2015? Try to become a better version of yourself but don't constantly beat up the old version of you either.

2. Resolve to keep trying to do the impossible.

One year can bring about many ups and downs for someone. Try not to let the downs win in 2015. Look at the hard times as a reminder that you are strong, you can get through anything, and you will come out the other side of it an even better person.

3. Resolve to stop comparing yourself to others in 2015.

We are all guilty of looking at other people and wishing we could be like them, or wishing we could have the things they have. But what does that do for us other than make us feel sorry for ourselves? So in 2015, do your best to focus on all of the great things you have in your life and try to stop comparing them to the great things in other peoples lives.

4. Resolve to stop making excuses and to start living the life you want.

Life can throw hardships our way, sure. But focus this year on not letting those hardships be an excuse to hold you back from living the life you want to live. Say yes more often. Go ahead and experience some of those things that you've always wanted to do but maybe scare you a little. Don't be a victim of your own life, take charge of it.

5. Try to have fun!

There are probably lots of times when you don't feel like going out and having fun. But in 2015 you should try a little harder to put on that party dress and join your friends. If you pump yourself up and open yourself up to the possibility of having a good time, chances are you will! And then you will have even more great memories to reminisce about with friends next New Year's Eve.

6. Resolve to put yourself first.

Amy Poehler said it best. "No" shouldn't have to be followed by a reason. If you are someone who feels like you're constantly taking on more than you can handle or more than what is actually needed of you, use 2015 as the time to start saying "no." Whether it is at work, in your family life or with friends, don't let yourself get overwhelmed by the thought that you have to do everything that is asked of you. Take some time for yourself in 2015.
