    Shopping in your home grocery store can be a beautiful experience.

    You know what you want and you got your hot route. You may make a few detours, but otherwise it's easy-peasy, in and out.

    It feels good. You feel accomplished. You feel like a real adult.

    Shopping in an unfamiliar grocery store, however...

    It's a total shitshow. There is no hot route, and forget any kind of organization. You will spend hours looking for something ridiculous like pickles that should be somewhere obvious.

    It does not make you feel good about yourself. You do not feel accomplished. You do not feel like a real adult.

    By the time you get out of there you're a hot and sweaty, disheveled, irritated mess.

    Is it too much to ask for grocery stores to be consistent? Honestly.
