We Put Sandra Bullock And Billy Bob Thornton's Friendship To The Test

The Our Brand Is Crisis stars have been friends for over a decade. So, like, basically forever.

Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton may not just be the coolest, most laid-back actors in Hollywood, but they also truly take #FriendshipGoals to a whole new level. Surprisingly enough, however, the actors have never once worked together in a movie — until now! (It's about damn time.) In their latest flick, Our Brand Is Crisis, produced by George Clooney and Sandra herself, a Bolivian presidential candidate failing in the polls enlists an elite American management team, led by the deeply damaged but brilliant strategist “Calamity” Jane Bodine (Bullock). Jane is coaxed back into the game for a chance to beat her professional nemesis, the loathsome Pat Candy (Thornton), now coaching the opposition. And trust me, her fight to win is AWESOME AS HELL.

Seeing as how Sandra and Billy Bob have been buds for over a decade, we had one question: How well do they really know each other? We obviously had to find out.

We're going to play a little game we like to call the BFF test. You ready?

    GOOD. Let's start!

What's the first thing Sandra thought when meeting Billy Bob?

Billy Bob: What's this all about?
    Sandra: Nice bird!
Billy Bob: Nice bird. Ha! That's good.

(Sandra is referring to Billy Bob's talking pet Mynah bird named Alice, whom she met at his house many moons ago.)

OK, let's switch it around. What's the first thing Billy Bob thought when meeting Sandra?

    Billy Bob: Always too late.
Sandra: Does she ever stop talking?

What is Sandra's favorite Billy Bob Thornton movie?

    And he's writing...and writing...

    Billy Bob: Sling Blade.
    Sandra: Sling Blade!

    It's a match!

What's Billy Bob's favorite Sandra Bullock movie?

    Sandra: Oh shit! Um...
Billy Bob: Oh god, there's a lot of them. What do I do here?

Billy Bob: Our Brand Is Crisis.
    Sandra: Miss Congeniality.

Billy Bob: I mean, you were adorable in that. You really were. But I'm just trying to help the cause!
Sandra: I'm sorry, I'm sorry! That was a good strategy.

    What college did Sandra attend?

    Billy Bob: Slippery Rock St.
    Sandra: East Carolina University.

What was Sandra most likely doing in between takes?

Billy Bob: Dealing with her son and eating and listening to music.
Sandra: Crying. I was producing this as well, so there's a lot of things I had to do. But he's right, he's right.

What was Billy Bob's favorite snack from craft services?

    Billy Bob: BoBo's Oat Bars.
    Sandra: Oatmeal bar?

    It's a match!

Billy Bob: She didn't get the brand right, but...
Sandra: The brand meaning "send me free stuff."
Billy Bob: Free BoBo's Bars — cases of them. Maple pecan, mainly. And coconut.
Sandra: Hold on a sec. Can I write down what I want for free? A Mercedes. Just throwin' that out there.

What words or word does Sandra say way too often?

Billy Bob: 1. Fuck. 2. George Clooney.
Sandra: 1. Fuck me 2. Let me tell you.
Billy Bob: [referring to his answer] But not together!
    Sandra: [laughs] Fuck George Clooney!

If Sandra just so happened to run for president, who would her running mate be?

    Billy Bob: Me.
    Sandra: <— I'm with stupid.
    Billy Bob: That's nice.

If Billy Bob were to run for president, what would his campaign slogan be?

Billy Bob: Vote for a man with adequate pants.
Sandra: Gimme some of dem French fried taters. [Referring to a line in Billy Bob's film, Sling Blade]

Our Brand Is Crisis hits theaters Friday, Oct. 30.
